Yandere girls and my fragmented daily life - Chapter 10
A few rings later, the call was connected.
“Hello, Little Yan. Are you asleep~”
“Not yet, YanRan. Why are you calling me this late?” The voice on the phone belonged to Chu Yan, who had been friends with Xu YanRan since childhood. Chu Yan lived not far from LinJian Garden, in JunHao Garden.
“Do you have time tomorrow morning? If so, I’ll come over to your place to hang out, and we’ll go shopping on Sunday.”
“You don’t have time this Saturday afternoon again? You’ve been attending lessons on Saturday afternoons for over a year. Although your grades have improved greatly since your family found you a tutor, and I feel happy for you, you have not come to see me on Saturday mornings or gone out to play in the afternoons anymore.” Chu Yan’s voice contained a whiff of complaint.
Xu YanRan’s family was lenient with her. Due to their busy careers, the Xu family rarely monitored her, so YanRan frequently hung out with her friends, particularly Chu Yan.
“Hehe, but I’m coming tomorrow~”
“Okay, I’ll wait for you at home tomorrow morning. I’ll visit you on Saturday afternoons since you have a lesson. I’m curious about who has helped you improve your grades so quickly. If possible, he could also help me with tutoring.”
As soon as Chu Yan finished speaking, Xu YanRan sprang off the bed.
Little Yan is coming over and wants to meet Ling Fan?
Out of nowhere, Xu YanRan was overcome with a sudden sense of unease.
“Are you sure you want to come? I’m not sure if the teacher will be welcoming,” Xu YanRan said, pushing aside her other thoughts and making a nonchalant comment.
“I also want to improve my grades and go to the same high school as you!”
“Okay, then let’s have lunch at my place tomorrow noon.”
“Thanks, YanRan. See you tomorrow!” Chu Yan appeared to be in high spirits.
“See you tomorrow!” After ending the call, Xu YanRan let out a sigh, and her eyes landed on a dainty pink photo frame resting on her desk. Inside, there was a photograph capturing Ling Fan’s side profile.
In the photo, Ling Fan is enjoying the warm glow of the sunset, his side profile captured by the camera, and the gentle rays of light dance through his fingers and illuminate his face.
This picture of Ling Fan enjoying the sunset in the private garden at her house was taken during a break.
As the setting sun cast its golden light, Xu Yanran happened to see this scene and was momentarily mesmerized. When she came to her senses, she dashed upstairs, grabbed her DSLR camera, and snapped a photo instantly.
At that moment, Ling Fan was basking in the warm sunlight and naturally didn’t notice that he was being secretly photographed.
This is how life should be: relaxed and pleasant. Was the thought Ling Fan had at that time.
Xu YanRan walked to the table, looking at the photo in front of her, feeling a mix of indescribable emotions.
In the neighboring JunHao Garden, in a room adorned with shades of pink, Su MoRan was idly flipping through the notebook Ling Fan had left for her from sixth grade.
Suddenly, a knock sounded at the door, interrupting Su Moran’s actions.
“MoRan, are you asleep? Can I come in?” Su Wen’s voice sounded from outside.
“Come in, Mom.”
After receiving Su MoRan’s reply, Su Wen opened the door.
“I’ve already called Ling Fan. He said it’s fine, but he’ll be out to do something before 2 PM and won’t be back until 5 PM.” Ling Fan had instructed Su Wen not to tell Su MoRan about his tutoring session with Xu YanRan in the afternoon.
It might not seem like a big deal to tell them, but Ling Fan had a gut feeling that it was better not to. So, he made the same request to Su Wen as he did to Xu ZhongHao.
“Really? Brother Ling Fan agreed?” Su MoRan’s voice was filled with joy.
“He agreed, but are you really comfortable having him at home with you? To be honest, I am not completely at ease. After all, he is a male student in his third year of junior high.” Su Wen paused before continuing.
“Even though I’ve interacted with him for more than a year and know him quite well, still…”
“I trust Brother Ling Fan. Besides, Mom, you’ve said it yourself — we’ve interacted with him for more than a year, and I think Brother Ling Fan is a very excellent and reliable person.” Su MoRan interrupted Su Wen’s words.
“…Alright, Mom trusts you.” Upon hearing this, Su Wen decided not to push the matter any further and exited Su MoRan’s room.
She also held Ling Fan in high regard. Throughout the past year, Ling Fan had consistently managed to avoid anything that would bring a frown to her face. Su Wen was impressed by Ling Fan’s impeccable manners and social skills.
Above all, Ling Fan’s gaze towards Su MoRan was incredibly pure, devoid of any hint of desire.
Otherwise, even if Su MoRan requested it, she would not have given her consent.
“Sigh…” Despite Ling Fan’s stance, Su Wen couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
Su Wen had seen how Su MoRan behaved and wasn’t oblivious. It was clear that Su MoRan was interested in Ling Fan, or at least found him intriguing.
Su Wen wasn’t sure when this situation started. She only realized something was off when Ling Fan mentioned that he wouldn’t be coming for tutoring anymore. At that time, Su Wen just felt it was a pity, as she considered Ling Fan to be an excellent tutor.
After Ling Fan left that day, Su Wen told Su MoRan about the news during dinner. Su MoRan was stunned, left her bowl of food, and retreated to her room, not coming out again.
Su Wen thought it was just a momentary emotional outburst from the young girl. She recalled shedding many tears herself upon graduating, experiencing a sense of sadness as she bid farewell to her classmates and teachers.
However, when Su Wen discreetly entered Su MoRan’s room the following day and discovered Su MoRan still in tears, surrounded by a sea of tissues, she finally grasped that something was amiss.
Upon seeing Su MoRan’s puffy and bloodshot eyes, Su Wen knew that Su MoRan had spent the entire night in tears. No matter how much she called out to Su MoRan, Su MoRan ignored her.
With no other option, Su Wen quickly had their driver, Old Zhang, to fetch Ling Fan. Simultaneously, she reached out to Ling Fan. It was Sunday, and Ling Fan had just finished an all-night gaming session, had a shower, and was ready to catch up on some much-needed rest.
When Ling Fan received Su Wen’s call, he didn’t think much of it and planned to quickly resolve the issue and then go back to sleep.
Upon arriving at the Su family’s home, Ling Fan saw the mountain-high pile of tissues that Su Wen had swept down from the room, as well as Su MoRan’s swollen, red eyes.
Ling Fan’s drowsiness vanished instantly as he realized that the situation was not as simple as he had initially thought.
What’s going on? What happened? Has the Qing Dynasty fallen?
After some coaxing and persuasion, Ling Fan finally managed to calm Su MoRan down, and his plan to quit was simultaneously canceled.
From then on, Su Wen realized that her daughter had harbored some extra feelings.
Rationally, it would have been best to nip it in the bud. However, thinking of Su MoRan’s tearful state that day, Su Wen hesitated.
She had never seen Su MoRan cry so heart-wrenchingly.
Moreover, Ling Fan had done nothing wrong; he had simply fulfilled his role as a teacher without crossing any boundaries.
Su Muran’s rapid progress was closely linked to Ling Fan’s tutoring. Considering this, Su Wen felt deflated.
Sigh, let it develop freely. Maybe things will improve in a few years.
That’s all Su Wen could think of.
While Su Wen was lost in her worries, Su MoRan was rolling around happily on her bed. She opened her wardrobe and started picking her outfits.
“F**k, it’s finally done! I’m going to have a blast gaming tomorrow night.” Ling Fan had already planned out his weekend activities.
With tomorrow’s lesson plan ready and the handkerchief clean, Ling Fan happily took a shower, set an alarm, and went to bed.
