“You knew all along, so why did you pretend not to know?”
“You knew that the alpha scent from my body wasn’t mine.”
Choi Tae-geon has a deep aversion to omegas due to childhood trauma.
As part of an arrangement to address his psychological issues, Han Hyeon-woo, a boy of the same age (7), is chosen to be his friend.
Worried about the hurt Tae-geon, Hyeon-woo promises to stay by his side forever.
“I’ll stay beside you, I’ll protect you from loneliness.”
However, their childhood vow begins to unravel when Hyeon-woo is forced to manifest as an omega.
The moment he manifested as the very thing Tae-geon hated the most.
Hyeon-woo realizes he’s deeply in love with Tae-geon.

“Stop doing this now.”
“Stop what?”
Hyeon-woo firmly spoke to Tae-geon, who was pretending not to know.
“Keep smelling my nape like this!”
“Why suddenly? We’ve always done this.”
While Hyeon-woo furrowed his brow at this strange logic, Tae-geon quickly pushed him down and once again buried his face in his nape. Unable to endure the cold sensation, what was bound to happen finally escaped Hyeon-woo’s lips.
“Ah!”
The sudden sound startled Tae-geon more than Hyeon-woo. Bewilderment spread across Tae-geon’s face as he hurriedly raised his body.
Though Hyeon-woo quickly covered his mouth with his hand, it was too late. Tae-geon’s expression rapidly turned cold as he stared down at the blushing Hyeon-woo.
“…Here.”
Tae-geon’s cold fingers touched beneath Hyeon-woo’s chin. Hyeon-woo’s body tensed at the chilling sensation of fingers trailing down his throat. His chin trembled as he bit his lips, swallowing back a moan.
“You’ve become sensitive, unnecessarily.”
Hyeon-woo felt heat rising at Tae-geon’s low, displeased muttering. He felt wronged. Whose fault was all this anyway?
“Stop it! That’s why I told you not to do it!”
Hyeon-woo shouted, his face red as a tomato.
“We’re both adults now, and this is weird between friends! This kind of thing is for lovers.”
“…Lovers…?”
To Tae-geon’s dazed murmur, Hyeon-woo drove in the final nail.
“And I’m an alpha too….”
“……”
“It hurts my pride when you do this. So don’t do it anymore.”
Hyeon-woo got up from his seat and headed straight for the second floor, leaving the living room. Tae-geon remained motionless on the sofa, his face looking somewhat dumbfounded.
