Who Stole My Eggs? - Chapter 106
Over time, Tiandi gradually discovered that it was nice to have someone to serve him. The land of void was so empty that he had never thought about buying anything. After Yue Rong came, he silently prepared many things to make Tiandi’s life more comfortable.
And then there was a certain eyeless thunder and lightning spirit who had been with Tiandi for tens of thousands of years and could do nothing but make him angry. In comparison, Tiandi realized that the thunder spirit really ought to be thrown out.
In the blink of an eye, thousands of years passed. Yue Rong continuously improved his cultivation, survived several tribulations, and became an important deity in the six realms.
After one triublation, Yue Rong returned to the land of void, eager to share his joy with Tiandi. However, after searching nearly every corner of the land of void, he still found no sign of Tiandi.
Yue Rong cautiously approached Huo Yao and asked about Tiandi’s whereabouts.
For so many years, although they had shared the same land of void and had been by Tiandi’s side, Yue Rong and Huo Yao had never spoken directly. Yue Rong’s sensitive nature made him clearly feel that Huo Yao didn’t want to see him. Whenever Yue Rong saw Huo Yao, he couldn’t help but feel his hair stand on end.
Sure enough, Yue Rong asked Huo Yao several times, but he received no answer. Yue Rong grew a little angry in his heart. After so many years as Tiandi’s messenger and a high-status deity, he was no longer accustomed to such rudeness. However, he bowed humbly to Huo Yao, concealing his feelings. “Excuse me, I’ll look for him elsewhere.”
Just as he spoke, a white-gold vortex suddenly appeared in the void, and Tiandi stepped out of it.
“Tiandi!” Yue Rong greeted him in surprise. “Where have you been?”
Tiandi didn’t answer but looked at Yue Rong and said, “Not bad. You’ve gone one step further.”
Yue Rong’s face flushed. “Thanks to the blessings from Tiandi.”
“It’s all your own efforts. It has nothing to do with me,” Tiandi said as he stretched out his hand and slapped his lower back.
Seeing that Tiandi looked tired, Yue Rong immediately offered, “Allow me to give you a massage to help you relax.”
“Alright, alright,” Tiandi agreed.
The two walked away hand in hand, leaving Huo Yao standing alone.
Tiandi sank into the warm pool of the land of void and let out a comfortable sigh. “Ah, Yue Rong, this pool you dug is truly wonderful.”
Yue Rong knelt by the pool, rubbing Tiandi’s shoulders and neck with just the right amount of pressure. “As long as Tiandi likes it. If you want anything else, Yue Rong will get it for you.”
Tiandi shook his head. “That’s good,” he said.
After Yue Rong massaged his shoulders and neck, he also took off his clothes and entered the warm pool. Standing behind Tiandi, he massaged and relaxed his waist.
Tiandi laid on the edge of the pool, half-squinting his eyes in contentment, and hummed a light tune. After a while, he took the initiative to pick up a conversation. “Do you know what I’ve been busy with?”
“Yue Rong doesn’t know,” Yue Rong replied.
“I’m building a river, and I’m going to call it the River of Void,” Tiandi said proudly.
Yue Rong remained silent, waiting for him to continue.
Tiandi sighed. “You little clay figurines are too powerful. After one or two of you attained enlightenment, you still wanted to comprehend more. Now, there are many enlightened and powerful spiritual consciousnesses in the six realms with nowhere to go. They have transcended reincarnation, and it’s time to find a place for them.”
“This River of Void…” Yue Rong considered his words carefully. “Can it help them go further?”
Tiandi shook his head. “Not necessarily. I was born in the vastness, and this river connects the land of void with the vastness. Bringing them all here will give them a place to continue their understanding and enlightenment, and it will also allow them to correct the laws of heaven and earth in time. Everything is born and dies. I don’t know when I will disappear, so some things must be done in advance.”
Tiandi spoke casually, but Yue Rong took his words seriously. He suddenly hugged Tiandi from behind. “You will not disappear! The whole world was created by you—how could you disappear?”
No one had ever hugged him like that. Tiandi felt embarrassed and patted Yue Rong’s hand. “What are you afraid of? It’s nothing.”
Unexpectedly, Yue Rong refused to let go. Instead, he pressed closer and said in a trembling voice, “Tiandi, I… do you want to… sleep with me?”
Tiandi slipped and fell into the warm pool, shattering the tranquil moment.
“Tiandi!” Yue Rong called out in alarm.
Tiandi stood up in embarrassment, wiping his face. “You, you, go out and let me rest for a while!”
This was rejection. Yue Rong could not hide his disappointment and left the warm pool area sadly.
Watching Yue Rong’s figure disappear, Tiandi let out a sigh of relief. How embarrassing. Yue Rong was an adult now. If he stayed with him here all day long, it was inevitable he would feel lonely. Was it time for Yue Rong to go home, marry a wife, and have children?
Tiandi had lost count of how many thousands of years he had lived. He had never experienced desires or feelings for another person. Sometimes, he even wondered if he was truly a person or just a cluster of consciousness. Yet his emotions—joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness—were so clear…
Tiandi soaked in the warm pool for a long time before climbing out, dressing, and falling asleep on the recliner.
Perhaps influenced by Yue Rong, Tiandi had an unprecedented dream of spring.
In the dream, a tall man shrouded in golden light behaved intimately with him. Despite being shy and uneasy, Tiandi experienced bliss for the first time.
He woke up, seething with embarrassment and anger. After staring into space for a while, he beat his bed angrily. “Ahhhhh! How shameless!”
It was just an erotic dream. He was a grown man; there was nothing to be ashamed of. But why was he the one at the bottom in the dream? And who was that man?
Furious, Tiandi left the vicinity of the warm pool. It must have been too hot and made him stupid. He immediately asked Yue Rong to throw the pool out.
Tiandi was in a bad mood. Nothing looked appealing, and he wore a tigerish expression whenever he saw Yue Rong.
Seeing this, Yue Rong thought Tiandi was upset about what happened the previous day. He grew increasingly uneasy and began to regret his impulsiveness.
To distract himself, Tiandi decided to dig the river. Hard work could make people forget their worries.
When he passed Huo Yao, he glanced at him and noticed that his entire lightning was golden with a hint of red.
“That’s strange. Do you have a fever? Why are you turning red?” Tiandi asked.
Unexpectedly, the blush on Huo Yao’s body immediately expanded. What was just a small wisp of redness now engulfing the entire thunder and lightning, turning it golden red.
Tiandi warned him, “What are you doing? Don’t act recklessly. If you lose control, you’ll harm others. Calm yourself.”
Huo Yao steadied himself, and the redness subsided slightly.
A trace of suspicion flashed through Tiandi’s mind, but he had no evidence to pursue it further. Too embarrassed to ask, he went to dig the river.
Tiandi worked hard all day and slept soundly at night. But while he was asleep, that shameless man appeared in his dreams again!
After several occurrences, he swore to heaven and earth that he would catch this dirty culprit!
That night, Yue Rong lingered outside Tiandi’s dormitory. He wanted to apologize and hoped Tiandi would forgive his rudeness. Otherwise, he would always feel uneasy. Just as he plucked up the courage to approach, he heard a strange sound.
Yue Rong held his breath and listened carefully for a while. His expression suddenly changed. Staggering backward, he stood in a daze for a long time before leaving in despair.
