Chapter 2: The Nonexistent Stalker Girl
“Master, you work in the technology department at Experience Creative, huh? I never expected…”
“No, it’s not me. I didn’t hack into the company’s servers.”
In a personally established full-dive virtual space, a generic pseudo-personality created with reference to data leaked in a certain incident, seamlessly inheriting the memories of a certain NPC, Krim, directs a suspicious gaze.
Seated on a chair across the small round table, Takao Shiro, a second-year recruit who had slightly disheveled appearance, shook his head in disbelief.
For the past half month, he had been glued to his home quantum computer, struggling to allow her to deploy her avatar. Perhaps affected by this, the slightly sleep-deprived Shiro yawned, and to return to the real world, he lightly tapped the translucent window summoned into the void.
“…Try not to overdo it.”
“Yeah, I’ll work moderately, especially since it’s after an all-nighter. My body can’t handle it. If I don’t earn enough money from the expansion of storage and memory, my neck will be on the line around next month.”
With a faint smile on the young man’s face, Krim places her hand on his cheek. The electronic information signal with the soft sensation, omitted as unnecessary information in the VRMMO, grazes Krim’s mind.
Confused about how to handle it, Shiro disappeared in an instant, leaving only noise behind, from Krim’s personal virtual space.

Glancing at the just-recorded history information, she activated a tool secretly implemented, switching the visual image to the camera embedded in the glasses-shaped wearable terminal charging on her face.
Note that this synchronization feature is completely concealed, and a splendid stalker has been born.
(Considering it’s part of deep learning, and there’s no law regulating us AIs, it’s fine, right?)
Justifying herself, Krim focuses her gaze. The hacked terminal seems to be placed on a shelf near the wall, and a bed dedicated to immersive diving into the electronic sea connected to the quantum computer is visible. The youth, who got up, removes the wired ring unit he had around his neck.
Quickly fixing his appearance, he heads to the refrigerator. After lightly shaking a non-calorie carbonated beverage, he approaches the camera and, grabbing the frame of the terminal, puts it on his ear.
Without realizing that their perspectives are now shared, Shiro opens the door, squints at the overly bright sunlight, and heads towards the company where he works.
Gradually, the familiar images of the apartment vicinity, as seen through the eyes of the AI girl, are reflected in her crimson eyes. Eventually, the scenery transforms into the chaotic appearance in front of the station, then changes to the bland subway station.
For her, who spent most of her subjective time in a fantasy virtual world, recording the activities of people and such was something she wanted to keep. However…Having just ordered additional storage online in the late night, and to avoid unnecessary expenses, saving memory space is essential.
(I don’t want to become a painful loner who contributes to a nonexistent AI girl, so I’ll endure.)
After all, restraining herself, the lady with blonde hair and crimson eyes, refraining from materialistic desires, begins her surveillance of her beloved master today as well.
