Episode 16: Year-End Brawl Among Fighting Game Enthusiasts

The silver-armored physique of “Silver Fist Silver Fist” is streamlined, boasting well-defined muscles without any wasted bulk. However, since both rely on hand-to-hand combat, the fight itself is relatively modest.

In the virtual world of the ARPG, also abbreviated as “UW,” on the outskirts of the nameless city serving as each player’s base, the scene is a bit dull for onlookers sitting on the remains of sparsely scattered and semi-destroyed buildings.

This enemy mechanical being, like its master, seems to have been immersed in fighting games. Each move it makes is reminiscent of “Street Fighter in the Back Alley.”

Closing in with instant footwork, dodging a high kick from the incoming left leg, Black Dog Black Dog promptly catches it with the additional armor on its right arm. Without hesitation, it follows up with a powerful blow, using its right fist from above in sync with the descending kicking leg.

“Guu!!” “Kaha!?”

The powerful punch directly hits the left collarbone, crushing a part of the chest armor. However, to stop the successive combo attacks from there, Black Dog Black Dog extends its large claw counter-like, piercing the abdominal armor of Silver Fist Silver Fist. Both stagger away, creating a few meters of distance.

Despite exchanging blows several times, both are still in good condition due to their close-range specialized durability. This is unlike “Invisible Hunter,” which has low defense and is a different story.

Moreover, the enemy mechanical being has an automatic defense that activates to some extent, hindering its attacks. This makes it quite a troublesome opponent.

“Haha, Black Dog Black Dog, were you also a fighting game enthusiast!”

“To some extent, I was surprised by the accuracy of your reproduction.”

“For me, all the starting points of my finishing moves were completely crushed, so I’m a bit disheartened!!”
