The Villain's End Is Pregnancy - c60
It’s a dream. Ryan realized it as soon as he saw the scenery unfolding before him. Beyond the lovely and pretty rose garden, a three-story palace could be seen.
However, neither that building nor the garden around him could be this clean and well-kept. This area had been closed for a long time, and access by others was also prohibited.
It had been a very long time since Ryan had come here. So it didn’t make sense for him to be leisurely strolling and walking like this, or to be peacefully looking at the pretty palace.
‘But why am I here?’
Even as he tilted his head, his legs were steadily moving. But somehow his body felt a bit heavy.
Wondering, he looked down.
‘Ah…’
What came into view was a belly that had swelled up like a hill. A voluminous figure that anyone could tell was pregnant.
He stood still and stared intently. Then, as if sensing his gaze, suddenly a ‘thump thump’ reverberation came from inside the belly.
It was a fetal movement.
Ryan quickly raised his hand and placed it on his belly. Then this time, he felt a small kick against his palm. A smile inadvertently hung on his lips, feeling more delighted than discomfort.
‘Ryan.’
A caring call of his name was heard then. His head automatically turned in that direction. A man approaching with a faint smile came into view.
It was Hendrick, who pulled off even clothes that could be tacky with their sheen in a stylish manner.
‘If you’re going for a walk, let’s go together. Why did you come out alone?’
Hendrick, who had come close, draped an outer garment over his shoulders. Even though it wasn’t a particularly chilly day, Ryan couldn’t stop the smile from forming on his face despite thinking Hendrick was being fussy.
Then, as a subtle pheromone enveloped the surroundings, he felt his heavy body become much more comfortable.
‘That’s a bit better, thanks.’
‘If it’s too hard, should I carry you?’
Hendrick gave his rounded belly a glance before meeting his eyes again. The hint of laughter on his face showed no playfulness, only concern.
‘I came out for a walk to get some exercise, you know? What’s there to carry me for? Besides, I’m heavy so you wouldn’t even be able to lift me.’
‘Heavy? What’s heavy about this? I should at least be able to do this much.’
Even though Ryan scolded him in disbelief, Hendrick was still grinning from ear to ear.
‘I don’t know what he’s so happy about.’
Grumbling inwardly, it was strange that he also didn’t feel bad.
‘What can you do, really?’
‘It’s an alpha’s natural responsibility to do their best for their omega carrying their child.’
In that moment, his cheeks flushed hotly. Ever since confessing, it was as if Hendrick had lost all shame, saying such embarrassing things without batting an eye.
‘Wh-what are you saying!’
Ryan only slapped his firm shoulder with his palm, wearing a mortified expression. As if it didn’t hurt at all, Hendrick grabbed the fierce hand and peppered kisses on it.
Ryan, who had felt relieved that there was no one else in the garden or nearby, turned even redder at the continuous contact.
‘Ah, stop it.’
‘It’s sweet. How are you so sweet?’
‘Really… what are you doing?’
He wasn’t listening to a word. Hendrick even brought his tongue to Ryan’s fingertips. If Ryan hadn’t quickly pulled his hand away, who knows what would have happened with Hendrick about to lick it.
‘You, seriously!’
Ryan’s fists pummeled Hendrick’s broad shoulders again. But the smile never left Hendrick’s face.
‘Why are you getting more and more lecherous?’
‘Me?’
‘Where did the gentlemanly and cool prince go?’
‘You need an alpha who is more affectionate and ready to do anything for you, don’t you?’
‘Oh my?’
It wasn’t just his actions, but even the way he spoke had somehow become so brazen. Even when Ryan looked at him with flabbergasted eyes, Hendrick only beautifully curved his eyes as if extremely pleased by that too.
‘Let’s go inside.’
‘Okay.’
As soon as he responded, Hendrick immediately wrapped an arm around his waist. He pressed their bodies close together as if telling Ryan to lean on him. A familiar pheromone wafted through the air.
Ryan willingly leaned on him and took slow steps. As they walked, they chatted about this and that.
How his condition was today, how much he felt the baby moving, if eating was alright, if he took an afternoon nap, if his hands and feet were swelling, if the massage was good.
The way Hendrick looked at him and his tone were so sweet that Ryan even felt like candy was melting in his mouth.
‘I was thinking about what to name the baby, you know.’
‘Hey, we don’t even know the gender yet, what’s with the name all of a sudden?’
‘That’s why I came up with two each to match the gender.’
Finding it cute that Hendrick was being hasty when the baby wasn’t even born yet, Ryan ended up bursting into laughter.
‘Haha, you’re really funny.’
That made him feel so happy and warm inside. The baby must be feeling good too. Judging by the thumping fetal movements.
Well, since Hendrick’s pheromones had been lingering around him from the moment he appeared, it was only natural to feel a blissful sense of stability.
‘Does it feel nice?’
Ryan asked the baby, placing a hand on his belly. Then, as if in greeting, he felt a kick. Turning his head with a smile, he saw Hendrick’s face full of a grin.
‘May I say hello too?’
Ryan opened his mouth to answer.
* * *
“Huk!”
His eyes flew open. His shaking pupils hurriedly scanned the still-blurry surroundings. Unfamiliar ceiling, unfamiliar wallpaper, unfamiliar furniture.
Startled, he quickly sat up. He tried to turn his body, then discovered the paper and charred printing blocks on the shelf.
“Ah… right. This is the villa near the wine farm.”
Only then did Ryan realize where he was. Sighing in dejection, he flopped back down.
The dream he had just before came to mind.
“What was that? Could it be a premonition?”
No. That can’t be. There’s no way such a situation would really unfold.
“It’s not, but why did such a realistic scene appear?”
It was so vivid that he truly felt like he was in that scene himself.
The warmth that embraced him, the pheromones lingering around him, the voice seriously saying he would decide the name of the child to be born.
He rolled onto his side. Looking down, he saw his flat belly that didn’t even show signs of anything inside.
“What do you think?”
Is that really what will happen in the future? Or are you telling me that’s how it should be? He wished someone would give him the answer.
Then he could immediately quell the confusion he felt from time to time every day.
Sighing, he placed a hand on his belly and rubbed it. Unlike in the dream, no sensation was conveyed.
He tried to go back to sleep like that, but having woken up once, his mind only became clearer. Giving up on dozing off, he got up and climbed out of bed.
Opening the window and stepping out onto the terrace, a refreshing and cool breeze touched him right away. Thinking that wasn’t bad either, that’s when it happened.
“…!”
He saw someone he never expected standing outside. As if he had just come running, his hair was disheveled and his clothes were also somewhat unkempt.
Yet Hendrick bathed in the morning sunlight was captivating enough. Perhaps realizing he was being watched, his head suddenly lifted.
Their eyes met at the same time, and his eyes seemed to widen slightly before pleasantly drawing curves.
“Ryan!”
Soon he called out his name. Ryan couldn’t take his eyes off the man waving his hand in delight.
The man who had approached in one stride shone brilliantly. So it was even more impossible to discern if this situation was a dream or reality.
“The baby’s name…”
He unconsciously spoke, then Ryan finally realized his mistake. He quickly shut his mouth, but Hendrick seemed to have already heard.
He looked at Ryan as if asking what he meant, then soon let out a short exclamation of “Ah!”
“You were already thinking about it? What kind?”
“No, it’s nothing. I never did that.”
When Ryan hurriedly denied it, Hendrick just quietly looked up at him. Feeling needlessly conscious, Ryan slyly avoided his gaze.
“Hmm, a name. Yeah. It might be good to decide in advance. If you don’t mind, may I think about it together with you too?”
He should say no. But in that moment, the face happily discussing the baby’s name in the dream came to mind.
“Of course, you should decide on one you like, but still, I want us to think about it together.”
Besides, how could he refuse when Hendrick was speaking with even his eyes sparkling like that? Ryan quietly bit the inside of his cheek.
Some realization struck him. Perhaps he would end up revealing the truth to Hendrick.
Whenever that time came. He only wished a little that Hendrick would show the same appearance as he did now.
“Okay.”
Thinking that, he slowly nodded.
“Thank you, Ryan.”
Not knowing his complicated feelings, the man brightly smiling and speaking made Ryan turn around. His heart stung, perhaps from pangs of conscience.
