The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 5
The Lost Forest
Chapter 5
The next day, as he watched the map made out of light floating above his hand, he wondered if every dungeons was built the same way. He had gone over the map many times to observe yesterday’s dungeon’s area.
The hole from where I entered was 5 kilometers away from the dungeon’s heart, he thought. That information could come in handy.
As he flipped through the pages, the map of another dungeon, close to where he lived, appeared. It was around The Lost Forest. He decided to apply his 5-kilometer hypothesis to the test. He zoomed in on the area and examined it, mentally tracing the circumference around the core of the dungeon. He noticed a river with a waterfall overlapping it.
“Well,” he said aloud, “I guess it’s time to investigate.”
Reid, who had yearned to be an adventurer, hoped that the discovery had been fate, and that, perhaps, it would change his destiny.
Although Reid was still a responsible man – he’d go investigate once his job on the fields was over. It’s with a hoe on his shoulder, the soil fertilizer and Jack by his side that he left his house.
He first cultivated the field, then sprinkled the fertilizer on the soil. For lunch, he
was joined by Fyne who, as promised, had prepared him a lunch box (bento). After Reid rambled on about his knowledge about farming, Fyne left him to continue his job.
The sun was setting when he finished his job – which he had finished early so he could start his investigation.
As usual, he tidied up his stuff and walked through the mountains, accompanied by Jack. After he planned his next day’s job, he prepared his companion’s meal.
“Jack,” he said, “I’m heading out. Please guard the house while I’m gone!” Jack answered with a bark.
Reid took out the crimson books and searched for The Lost Forest’s map. He zoomed in on the waterfall and a circle of light drew itself around him.
Jack stared at the place where the light disappeared, along with his master.

Reid was standing in front of the rapid stream of the waterfall. It was dusk and the air had become chilly. He wished he’d worn something warmer.
He searched for a while, but to no luck – he couldn’t find a hole. His gaze wandered to the pond.
Could it be in the middle of it?, he thought.
He took off his shoes and went into the clear water. The coldness of it made him startle, but it didn’t stop him. Although, he knew he had to find the hole fast or he’ll catch a cold – which he didn’t have the time for.
He took a deep inhale before diving in.

The Principality of Morgalea was once the neighbor of the great Alessandro Empire. After several great wars, it became independent from the Empire. However, because it was a very small country, it had been in a vulnerable position and was greatly influenced by Alessandro.
“What? You’re telling me someone has a dungeon’s treasure? Who is it?,” said
Rudolph.
King Rudolph Morgalea VII governed Morgalea. He was adored and admired by his people.
“Well, my King, I’m afraid we do not know who conquered the dungeon yet. It’s currently being investigated.”
Rudolf sighed in disappointment.
The King, who was well over 70 years old, had gray hair and lines carved deep on his face. No matter how great of a king he was, he couldn’t beat the signs of age.
“The fact a dungeon has been conquered is good news,” Rudolf said, “you know what that means, Demitrius.”
“Of course,” replied Demitrius. “Pressure from Alessandro gets greater and greater
each day, my King. Our country’s power alone cannot compete.”
“That is why, with the power of the treasure, we might be able to overcome the situation.”
Rudolf cleared his throat. “Please tell the military to put all their effort into finding the Dungeon Conqueror. I’m counting on you, Demitrius, the future of this country depends on it!”
Demitrius gave him a single nod before leaving, face full of determination. Rudolf turned to another man. “Orus, how much is the bounty for the treasure?”
“40 million Riggles (this world’s currency), my King. It’s an amount worth a lifetime.” “Double it,” he said, with a simple gesture of the hand. “Also, call the leader of
Black Sword. I want to talk to him.”
“Understood,” replied Orus, “I will arrange a meeting.”
“I don’t know what the labyrinth’s treasures are, but they must hold great powers – world-changing powers. We’ll do anything it takes to get our hands on them. Anything.”
