Chapter 48
In Argus, in the North of Alessandro, the land was mostly forests. There was a quiet dungeon in a place surrounded by rock walls. At the bottom, there was Lois, accompanied by Foress and guards. They went through the dimly lit door and entered a slightly cramped room.
“Is this the bottom floor of the dungeon?” When Lois muttered that, a voice came out of nowhere.
“The reach of the lowest floor has been confirmed.”
“Who’s that?!” Foress looked around restlessly, but was persuaded by Lois to calm
down.
“Don’t panic. It’s okay. Foress.”
The room, which had been quiet until just now, began to rattle, and the floor shook.
Lois, who was about to fall, tried to touch the wall.
However, with a rumbling sound, part of the wall began to crumble. “What is this, Lois?”
“Be quiet.”
While Foress and the guards were standing on their feet, Lois shifted his gaze to the other side of the wall. There was an endless dark space. A part of the wall that used to emit light disappeared, so the surroundings became dim.
As his eyes gradually got used to it, Lois was captivated by what appeared in the darkness.
A gigantic body covered in ice. It had metal armor-like objects all over its body. It was probably a living creature. Convinced of that, Lois raised his gaze.
What was there was unmistakably a dragon, a supernatural creature that lived in the dungeon.
Its height was well over 50 meters. Lois gasped, thinking that a dragon that big shouldn’t have been discovered.
“The transfer of authority has been approved for the Ancient Sacred Treasure Artifact number 07, the Supreme King Dragon Firvanil.”
The name of the dragon sounded familiar to Lois. The time when the Ordorian Empire once ruled the world, a legendary dragon that was said to have burned cities to the ground around the world.
“This is the treasure of the dungeon….” “Please state your name”
“Lois Klein.”
“Lois Klein…registration completed”.
To Lois, the dragon looking down from the darkness seemed to be smiling eerily. “The registration is complete. My work here is done. I hope you’ll use the legacy of
Ordoria wisely.” The voice then stopped.
“Lois…” Lois smiled while Foress looked uneasy. “You’re right… Foress, tell our allies about this loophole.”
“Are you sure?”
“It doesn’t matter. We have a common enemy.” Lois smiled and looked at the giant dragon. “A war is about to begin…the greatest the war.”

Reid had come to a corner of the garden in the palace. He dug up the soil and gently buried the can he had in his hand.
“I’m sorry, Jack. I was late to make the grave.” Although it was difficult to find Jack’s body in the burned village, Reid was relieved to be able to bury him.
The sun had already begun to set, and the crimson setting sun was reflected off the outer wall of the palace, shining beautifully.
“Jack. If you were here, I’m sure you would’ve run around the large royal palace.”
Reid chuckled and laid flowers on Jack’s simple grave. The death of Jack, who had been with him since childhood, was the most painful event.
And more painful things may happen in the future. Nevertheless, he decided to keep looking forward. He now carried the hopes and dreams of many people. Aware of that responsibility, Reid looked up at the sky.
There were several white birds flying in the cloudless sky.
“I hope that someday the Ordo people will be able to live freely like that…”
This was a man who had gained the power of the dungeon through a strange fate and led the persecuted Ordo people to create a place of peace.
Overcoming numerous difficulties, he made his name known throughout the world. It was the story of Reid Athril, the Emperor of Ordoria.
