The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 40
Ruler of the World
Chapter 40
In Marteen, a territory located northeast of Morgalea, it’s the second day of Alessandro’s invasion. Two castles have already fallen.
General Gaius, clad in heavy armor, looked down from the top of a small hill. There was the appearance of Morgalea soldiers who were routed without showing much resistance.
“General Gaius, we have received reports that navy and air force are coming.” “It’s too late!,” the General said, “well take control of Morgalea!” Gaius smiled with
confidence. Half a day was enough to go from here to the royal capital of Morgalea. The Minister of Defense, Clark, said that the Dungeon Conqueror might intervene, but there was no such signs. It was doubtful whether he was really there, but even if he was, Gaius didn’t think for a second that he would fall behind and be beaten.
Calmly leading the heavy cavalry corps, they headed south through Maarten’s territory.
A drop of rain fell on Gaius’ cheek. When he looked up, the sky, which had been clear until just a moment ago, began to become dim and cloudy.
“It’s raining…” The rain started to pour. “Be careful with the food!,” Gaius shouted.
He clicked his tongue, he was annoyed by the sudden weather change.

In the Royal Castle of Morgalea, a military council was held about the invasion of the Alessandro army, and the participation of the Ordo forces from the new continent into the war was formally announced.
“You don’t know how much force they can send!?” Heisen Mars, Minister of Defense, raised his voice.
The opponent had a large army of more than 50,000 soldiers. He wanted to prepare their armaments as soon as possible, which was difficult without knowing when or how many men the Orders would be sending.
“It’s a new country,” said Demitrius, “I guess the military isn’t ready yet.”
“See, they can’t even be called a country!,” Heisen replied, “we can’t trust them-” “Stop it!,” cut the King. Heisen instantly fell silent.
“Your Majesty, according to the message we got from the Dungeon Conqueror, he will send his forces as soon as possible,” Demitrius reassured Heisen. “Now, we have no choice but to believe him.”
Heisen sighed. Demitrius didn’t know what else to do.

At noon the next day, the royal capital of Morgalea was silent.
All the people had been informed of Alessandro’s attack, so nearby towns and villages had been evacuated to the royal capital of Morgalea.
People held their breaths and huddled together during the restless night.
In front of the royal capital, 15,000 Morgalea soldiers encamped on the open plains, glaring at the advancing Alessandro army.
General Orus was entrusted with the position of commander-in-chief of the Morgalea army. He had a grim expression on his face, thinking that if they fought properly, the fight would last less than a day.
“General Orus, there are military airships coming.” Five airships appeared from the northern sky. It was the strongest air force of the Alessandro empire. “If that thing attacks, we have no chance of winning.”
Demituris had told him not to worry about airships and only focus on enemies on land – that’s because the Prime Minister believed in the Ordos. However, Orus was doubtful about whether to trust them or not.
However, that anxiety was quickly overturned.
“Gaius, the military battleships have arrived as planned.”
Lined up facing the Morgalea army was the Imperial Army “Heavy Knights”. While there were only about 15,000 enemies, the army alone exceeded 50,000. On top of that, the airships had a 100 soldiers on board. Such a flying division had recently made a big mistake in the operation to recapture the Flying Castle. Gaius knew that Mirg, who was in charge of the air force, was still in a panic.
“Well, our army alone is enough, but this should settle things quickly.” Knowing that Morgalea had no air force, Gaius gave a confident smile. But–
“What is this?”
Something was approaching from the sky far beyond where the Morgalea army
was.
This is stupid, Gaius thought, they don’t have airships… But then, what is this?!
It wasn’t very fast and was different from what they had ever seen, but it was
definitely and airship. It had a flat hull with a dull glow of silver. Gaius thought it was like a big bird spreading its wings.
The Air Force Vice Admiral, Bradley, who led the military airships, was as surprised. “Mr. Bradley, what do you think?,” asked Gaius. Bradley smiled.
“It must be an airship from Morgalea. There’s no need to worry about it, but as long as it’s on our path, we have to shoot it down.” Bradley ordered to increase the speed of the
military airships, which headed straight for the silver airship. After confirming that they were within range of the bombardment, he ordered them to attack.
The five battleships fired their cannonballs all at the same time and hit the silver airship. The bullets exploded like a raging fire when they hit, enveloping the ship in light and explosive flames.
A large mass of smoke spread in the sky.
Bradley was smiling. But when the smoke cleared, it wasn’t what he expected. The silver airship was still floating there, untouched.
“That’s impossible…” Bradley remembered the powerful barrier that had protected the Flying Castle. The airship seemed to have to the same kind of power. “So that airship must be a dungeon’s treasure…”
The silver airship slowly advanced and Bradley flinched, but there was no way he could back down.
“All, open the cannons of the military airships and shoot with as much ammunition as you can-“
The moment he was about to give the order, the silver airship opened countless launch ports on its hull. Light was emitted from there, drawing a curve while converging on one of the five military airship battleships on the left.
After a moment of silence, the ship made a distorted sound as it caught on fire.
The hull exploded into pieces as if it were bursting from the inside, and the scattered wreckage fell to the ground. Only black smoke remained in the void.
Bradley was astonished and at a loss for words. I heard that the Flying Castle had a defensive barrier, but not an armament.
However, the airship in front of them was equipped with an unusual amount of weapons and destroyed the military airships of Alessandro with a single blow.
“Bradley! Give me your order! The enemy airship is approaching!!”
The general’s voice did not reach Bradley’s ears. They had already lost once and couldn’t afford to lose more. Any further loss of military airships would certainly become a liability.
“This cannot be happening…” Bradley looked out of the wheelhouse window with blank eyes while the silver airship was approaching calmly. “Retreat! Retreat now!!”
The empire’s strongest air force left the battlefield, unable to do anything.
