The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 39
Ruler of the World
Chapter 39
In the Republic of Davenir, a dungeon was quietly in the depths of a dense forest.
Reid and Orchid were walking down the deepest part of that dungeon.
“The reach of the lowest floor has been confirmed,” said the familiar voice. There was a rectangular pedestal in the center of the room. On it laid a beautifully decorated long sword. “The transfer of authority has been approved for the Hero’s Arm number 01, The Astral Sword. Please state your name.”
“Reid Athril.”
“Reid Athril… The registration is complete. I hope you’ll use the legacy of Ordoria wisely.” As usual, the voice faded away.
“Baltazar, please bring me back to the Castle.”
Reid and Orchid disappeared in a second and were brought back to the hall of Avalon. Reid put the sword on the round table.
“Is this sword that useful?,” Reid asked. “Compared to the rest of the treasures I’ve seen so far, a single sword doesn’t seem like such a big deal.”
“This is the sword the Hero of Ordoria, Astral, used,” explained Baltazar, “it is made out of the world’s hardest metal, “Orichalcum”, and it is enchanted with powerful magic.”
Reid hummed as he picked up the sword again. He studied the blade. He felt drawn to it.
After the meeting with Demitrius, Reid conquered three other dungeons and recovered : The Silent Army number 01, Infrantry; The Hero’s Arm number 02, Astral Shield; Hero’s Arm number 01, The Astral Sword.
Reid had decided to help Morgalea. He was now trying to gather the fighting strength for that, but he was still conflicted.
“Are you sure you want to do this?,” asked Baltazar, “although your feelings towards Morgalea are complicated, will you still help them?”
“I am not sure. I still feel like I can’t forgive them, but I need to get over it in order to create a country for the Ordos.”
“There will be a lot of casualties during this battle. We need to fight and get it over with as quickly as possible to limit them. Are you ready to fight with all your might, Reid?”
“Yes, I’m ready,” Reid answered, raising his voice to shake off the distractions. He put the sword back on the table and took a deep breath. “To do that,” he continued, “I have to put my feelings aside. Baltazar, will you do everything in your power to help me?”
“Of course.”
Reid smiled and returned to his room in Avalon. He had made up his mind but there was still a lot of work to do. It was necessary to tell the villagers that they were going to fight against Morgalea together – which might be an unforgivable act for them. They could turn against him.
But Reid knew he had to do it. He decided to gather the villagers.

Fifty chairs were placed in a large room in Avalon and Reid began to speak in front of the Ordo villagers.
The villagers had a troubled expression. When he said that he wanted to create a country for Ordos they were both surprised and delighted. But when he told them that it was necessary to cooperate with Morgalea to do that, the villagers were confused. The villagers stayed quiet for a moment before the village chief, Daniel started speaking.
“Reid, we understand what you’re saying.” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “The previous King of Morgalea was horrible, but I believe that the new one is different. He wants to end discrimination and I want to believe him.”
The villagers who were looking down gradually lifted their heads. One by one, they started to agree with Daniel and decided that they wanted to help. Although there must’ve been complaints, there was no objection. Reid felt warmth in his chest.
“Reid,” Daniel started, “I was delighted to hear that you wanted to use your powers to create a country for us. If it is created, Ordos may be freed from discrimination, prejudice and suffering. And for that reason, that dream, we will put our past suffering on the side and help you.”
The people round him were determined.
Reid had felt uneasy about the whole idea, but now there was no more doubt in his
mind.

desk.
After many military meetings, Demitrius returned to his office.
Tired, he slouched into his chair with a sigh, when he noticed something on his
It was a waxed sealed letter that wasn’t there before the meetings. When he
opened it, he was at loss for words. He rushed to the King’s room.
“What’s wrong Demitrius?,” asked the King Rudolf. He was in the middle of a talk with Princess Nina.
“I apologize for interrupting,” said Demitrius, “please forgive me. We have received a report…”
“From who?”
“From the Dungeon Conqueror,” replied Demitrius.
Nina and the King were both gasped. “What did he say?,” asked the King.
“He agreed to cooperate with our National Defenses…” The King let out a sigh of relief and his body relaxed. Nina had tears in her eyes, she was delighted by the news. “He said he’d contact me again for more information.”
“I see,” replied the King, “I’ll leave the rest to you Demitrius. I’m counting on you.” “Sure, leave it to me!”
After leaving the King’s Chamber, Demituris returned to her own office with a strong determination in his heart.
