The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 37
Alessandro
Chapter 37
Demitrius knew that even after the announcement of the notice, the discrimination against Ordos was deep-rooted and couldn’t be erased too quickly. It’ll take many years to make the king’s ideals come true, but with that in mind, Demitrius didn’t take any strict measures against the feudal lords, and practically covered for them.
There’s no denying that this law was a failure.
“Please forgive me,” he said, “I will arrange for all Ordos to receive medical care. I want to improve your living conditions, but it might take some time. But I will make sure it happens.”
Reid didn’t think Demitrius was lying, but still, he couldn’t bring himself to forgive
him.
He was still trying to figure out if he was trustworthy. “Did you only come here for
the prisoners, Demitrius?” The Prime Minister raised his brows. “Isn’t Morgalea going to war against Alessandro?” Demitrius wondered how Reid knew that. “Tell me everything about your current situation.”
Demitrius thought that there was no point in lying to Reid. “The Floating Dungeon that was in Alessandro was conquered. Rumor has it it was by a Morgalean. And with the sudden appearance of the new continent, there were territorial disputes.” Demitrius told him everything he could, but Reid had mixed feelings.
Morgalea always had a bad relationship with Alessandro. However, the conflict had started because of Reid conquering the dungeon.
“It seems like I was the cause of this conflict… I apologize.”
“It isn’t your fault,” Demitrius assured, “Alessandro has been looking for an excuse to attack us for a very long time. This is just a good opportunity.”
A heavy silence fell in the room.
It was now time for Reid to decide what to do.
“I agree with you about surrendering the prisoners,” Reid started, “but let me think about the alliance.”
“I understand.”
Reid and Demitrius exchanged a firm handshake and discussed how they could return the prisoners.
In exchange for the release of everyone, Morgalea decided to give food supplies and the materials necessary to the villagers.
“Ah! I’m glad we’re out!”
“I was scared about what would happen during this meeting.”
The adventurers who had been detained were finally free and out of the palace.
Originally, the captives should have been released one by one while confirming that Morgalea was complying with the release conditions, but Reid trusted Demituris and agreed to return everyone immediately.
Those who came out stretched out their arms and twirled their shoulders to savor their freedom. As they watched the adventurers like that, generals Orus and Gustav walked side by side.
“Are you going back to Morgalea now, Gustav? What are you going to do?” Gustav hesitated. “I think I’m going to stay here.”
“What? Why?”
The members of Black sword behind them were not surprised by the choice of their leader.
“I want to see what Reid is going to build here,” Gustav explained, “where all of this is going. You might think it’s stupid, but I know that if I go back now, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.”
“Gustav, you won’t be able to earn a stable income as you used to,” replied Orus. “Well, you know, if I was looking for stability, I shouldn’t have become an adventurer
in the first place.”
Orus laughed, “that’s true.”
Gustav turned around to face his friends. “This is my choice, You guys can return to Morgalea if you want.”
Karl scratched his head. “I can’t do my job without you. Black Sword is a party only if you’re with us. We will all stay.”
“But, if you say here, you won’t make any money, Karl.” “Well, we all have some savings, right guys?” Everyone nodded and cheered.
“You guys…” Gustav felt warm in his chest.
Black Sword went back inside the castle to tell Reid about their decision to stay and help.
“So…” Gustav said to Reid, “can we all say here?” Reid heart throbbed with joy. “Of course!”
Gustav held out his right hand with a grin. Reid agreed and the two of them exchanged a firm handshake.
It was the first reliable companion Reid had made that wasn’t an Ordo.

Near the castle’s gates, Alan was on his horse, in a bad mood. “Demitrius! As soon as we return home, raise an army and attack this castle!,” he yelled.
Everyone stared at him coldly.
“Prince Alan,” Demitrius started, “you have been removed from your position and will be prohibited from leaving the castle for a while – this is an order from the king.”
“Excuse me?!” He was at loss for words. He never thought his father would treat him this way. “For Morgalea’s sake, I will not back down-”
“Your behavior is putting your country in danger. Please, you have to understand.” Alan had turned pale.
Leading a group of more than 100 people, including adventurers, they headed back to Morgalea after passing through a vast new continent where fresh greenery had begun to sprout.
