The Ordos
Chapter 32
“Demitrius!” A clerk rushed into the Prime Minister’s office. “What’s wrong?”
“Brest, the Chief of Guard who was with Prince Alan has returned!” “Alright,” replied Demitrius, “what about Alan?”
“He’s been captured and held on the new continent.”
“What?!” Demitrius was trying to catch up. He was perplexed by the report and immediately organized a meeting with the other ministers.
“This is crazy,” said Heisen Mars, the Minister of Defense and national security, “this has never happened before!”
“I know,” replied the Prime Minister. “I’ll let Brest explain.” He gestured for the Chief of the Guard to speak.
Brest came out in front of the ministers who were all seated. He stood upright with a tense look on his face.
“So, what happened,” asked King Rudolf, “with the forces that you have… How is Alan doing?” Demitrius thought that Rudolf was the king, but he also was a parent. He must be very concerned about his son’s safety.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t able to protect your son.” “Who captured him?!” Mars asked.
“When we got there, there was a huge castle. Inside, there were incredibly strong men who defeated our guards and the adventurers.”
They took adventurers with them…, thought Demitrius. He knew adventurers were skilled fighters.
At Brest’s report, Mars raised his voice and said, “Who are they? It’s not like they lived in an underwater castle for thousands of years, they must’ve come from somewhere!”
“I don’t know who the knights are. However, there was someone who claimed to be the Dungeon Conqueror. It seems to be the owner of the castle.”
The assembly became noisy with shock.
“Did they really say that?!” Mars was astonished and the King fell silent. If the man who detained Alan was the Dungeon Conqueror, it meant that they became the Country’s enemy – it was a situation they needed to avoid at all costs.
“Demitrius, what should we do?,” asked the King, “tell me what you think.” Demitrius thought for a moment. “They want to negotiate. I will go there and bring
Alan back.”
The King sighed. “I’m sorry my son’s stupidity got us in trouble.”
“No, it’s my fault for not stopping him. I’ll take care of it.” Demitrius didn’t want to burden the sick King.
At the same time, the door of the office opened and the vice minister came in. They aren’t allowed to come in during a meeting so he knew something was wrong. He turned pale as he handed him a letter.
“What’s wrong?,” asked Mars.
“This is news from the checkpoint on the eastern border. It says that Alessandro’s delegation is requesting permission to pass through… They want to discuss the new continent and the Dungeon Conqueror.”
“What?!” Mars was shocked. “None of this has something to do with them!” “Actually, it does,” replied Demitrius. “The new continent is near Alessandro.” “And what about the Dungeon Conqueror?”
“When Alessandro’s Floating Island Dungeon was conquered, there were rumors that it was by a person from Morgalea.”
“That’s just a rumor though…,” said Mars.
“Well, actually, it might not be just a rumor. There’s a high probability for it to be true. So in other words, it looks like a criminal act where a citizen from Morgalea has stolen a treasure from them.”
“You think that’s why they’re here?” “Probably, yes.”
The ministers and the King were at loss for words.

The new life of the Ordos had to be built along the coast of the new continent.
Baltazar used the Book of the Sky to move them there. They caught fish for food.
Standing on the balcony of Avalon, Reid watched them with admiration. They had lived such a difficult life.
Baltazar’s voice came out of the metallic ball. “After this, we should get the Magic Book of Life, so it can make this environment better.”
“What is this book-”
“Reid!” Fyne interrupted their conversation. Her parents were with her, and all hugged him.
“What’s up, Fyne?,” Reid asked. “I think we should call Bazel here.” “Bazel?”
“Yes, he is working as a mercenary in Alessandro,” she explained. “If there’s going to be a fight again, we should have someone strong by our side. What do you think?”
Reid pondered on the idea. Bazel was the same age as he and a good friend of his. He had left the village two years ago to work in another country.
“He went to Alessandro, uh…”
“I’m sure he’ll be of great help to us!” Seeing how happy Fyne was, he thought it could be a good idea.
We are building an Ordo settlement, he thought, they’ll be happy to know that other Ordos have come to protect us.
“Understood. Let’s go and see Bazel.”
