The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 26
The Shocking World
Chapter 26
In only one week, Reid had retrieved the following treasures from seven dungeons :
The Iron Knight number 03, the Blue Knight. The Army of Silence number 02, Archery Corps. The Army of Silence number 05, Cavalry.
The Supreme Airship number 06, Termigan. Unique number 03, Zagreus’s Coffin.
Unique number 04, Panakea’s Paradise. Unique number 07, Eyes of the Stars.
He gave them all to Baltazar to secure their safety.
“Thanks to you, Reid, the functions of the Royal Castle, including Avalon, have been restored,” said Baltazar.
“Then you can do what you told me about before, right?”
“Yes, I can. Zagreus’s Coffin will repair the damages caused to the legacy of Ordoria.”
Using the images in front of Reid, Baltazar showed him a room, which was inside the Royal Castle. It was a large workshop outside of Avalon.
“Now, Panakea’s Paradise. It’s a place where the injured can heal. Thanks to its
strong healing powers, it can injure anyone who’s on the brink of death.”
Suddenly, a tall knight appears in front of Reid, his footsteps heavy and loud. “The Blue Knight,” mumbled Reid.
“The Blue Knight is real advantage on the battlefield. Often he was sent alone to defeat the enemies of the Empire of Ordoria. You can rely on him.”
He wore a shining blue armor. Although he didn’t possess the ability to talk like
Orchid and Baltazar, he had the aura of a reliable worker. Reid couldn’t see his face, hidden behind his helmet. Reid thought that his face was maybe similar to Orchid’s.
The knight kneeled in front of him.
“He will be the Castle’s guard,” explained Baltazar. “In addition, The Archery Corps and the Cavalry Corps, as well as the Termigan will be used to solidify the Castle’s defenses. Even if we make enemies, it won’t be easy for them to attack us-”
“What are the Eyes of the Stars’ powers?,” cut Reid. That treasure had been the last one he had retrieved. When he inserted it into the console, nothing had happened.
“You can activate a new eye, an insight, that looks down on the Earth from beyond the sky.”
“An insight? What do you mean?”
“I think you should just take a look.” The crystal slowly awakens from its long sleep as a single eye appeared on its surface and began to move. “Expand the image.”
All of a sudden, videos appeared on the ceiling. It looked like the point of view of a bird. Reid marveled at each one of them as he was peaking into people’s life.
“This is amazing, Baltazar…”
“With this, we can track every movement of a person in real-time,” Baltazar switched the video, “I want you to see this.”
The video showed a crowded place. “Where is this?,” asked Reid.
“That’s around a dungeon in Alessandro.” “What are they doing?”
“Perhaps they’re looking for a hidden way into the dungeon.” “What?!”
Baltazar said it so casually that it surprised Reid.
“According to the information collected by the Library,” started Baltazar, “Alessandro’s Chancellor, Lois Klein, is said to be very smart. I figured he’d be the one to find out about it first.”
“This is a problem! We can’t enter that dungeon if everyone’s around!”
“Yes, that’s probably why they’re there. Alessandro has a treasure that I wanted us to secure, but there’s nothing we can do about it now. Let’s go to another country.”
Although Reid’s anxiety grew, he accepted Baltazar’s proposal and went home with Orchid.

“Phew, these past few days have been challenging,” said Reid, “I’m exhausted.
Aren’t you tired, Orchid?” As Orchid never showed any emotions, he couldn’t know if she was feeling well or not.
“I am fine. Do not worry.” As usual, she sat on the kitchen chair before Reid turned off the lights and went to bed. He was worried about the situation in Alessandro, but still managed to go to sleep.
The next morning, Reid woke up to the sound of knocking on his door. “Hmm? What’s this?” He rubbed his eyes while opening the door to Kosel, his
neighbor. “What’s wrong, Kosel? Did something happen?”
“I heard the village chiefs gathered and now soldiers are coming to our village!” Reid was confused, but he was now wide awake. “What do you mean?”
“I don’t know the details,” replied his friend, “but it seems like they went to see the
King.”
“Oh no…”
Reid and Orchid hurried to the house of the village’s chief.
Inside a slightly larger house was gathered around ten elderly Ordos – with the
village chief, Daniel, among them.
“Daniel! Is it true that soldiers are coming?”
Daniel turned to Reid. “Yes, it is true. Ordos from other villages have been captured. We’re probably next.” The elders all nodded. “I’m sorry, Reid. We sent a petition to the King. We wanted the children to be able to go to schools and hospitals…”
Reid didn’t think Daniel was to blame. It wasn’t surprising, considering how badly
the Ordos were treated.
“In other villages, they have been arrested and detained as acts of treason.” “That’s ridiculous!,” said Reid, shaking. He hated what was happening. “Reid, calm down. We will take full responsibility. You young people should
evacuate immediately.”
The elders seemed to have made up their minds. But Reid didn’t agree with them. “But-”
“Reid!”
Reid recognized that voice – it was Fyne’s father, Axel. He explained the situation to him and they both convinced the elders to come outside with them. People soon gathered around them, confused as to what was happening. Axel explained to the anxious villagers and everyone decided to evacuate.
Once Reid was out of sight, he took out the metal ball and called Baltazar. “Yes, Reid?”
“Baltazar! I need to know if there are soldiers near the village!”
“Sure, wait for a moment.” Baltazar was using the Eyes of the Stars. “I can see about a hundred people, ten kilometers northeast of the village of Garedo.”
“They’re so close…”
“They look armed,” added Baltazar.
“Alright, I’ll evacuate everyone. I’ll contact you again soon.”
Reid immediately went to help the elderly and urged them to evacuate with them. When almost everyone had gone up to the back of the mountain, he looked around and heard a familiar barking. “Jack!” The dog jumped on Reid’s chest. It had ran out of the house. “I’m sorry for making you wait, Jack,” he said as he pet the dog.
Axel called him. “Reid, we need to go.” “Please, take Jack and go.”
“What? What are you gonna do?!” Axel was suspicious. “I’ll wait for the soldiers to come.”
“Don’t be silly! You’ll get caught!”
“It’s ok, I’ll run away.”
“Absolutely not,” said Axel, not backing down, “if you stay, I’ll stay too.”
Reid sighed. In the worst-case scenario, Reid would call on the Blue Knight and the Silent Army to help. But with Axel with him, he couldn’t do that.
While he tried to convince Axel to go, the soldiers arrived.
“Oh, looks like we have two Ordo pigs,” one of them said with a smirk.
