The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 24
The Shocking World
Chapter 24
As Reid approached the building, Reid heard a voice coming from the metal ball in his pocket.
“Please enter through the main gate on your right,” said Baltazar.
Reid followed his instruction. The wall in front of him had beautiful curves. Behind the large gate, there was a palace. Reid watched Avalon slowly land in the center of the luxurious and beautiful building. Once landed the ground shook lightly.
It was now a royal palace. Reid was mesmerized by it.
The front gate opened with a heavy sound. “Please enter, Reid,” said Baltazar.
Reid and Orchid stepped inside, it was like a totally different world. Plants and trees grew thick and colorful, and the walls were intact. It was hard to believe that all of this had been underwater for thousands of years.
In front of him, there were large carved doors leading inside the royal castle. They
opened automatically as Reid approached.
Inside, the Castle reminded him of Avalon. The floor was made of marble, with beautiful white walls and sculptures everywhere.
He kept on walking inside, passing through several rooms, climbed the stairs and finally entered Avalon, to the control room.
“What do you think, Reid?,” asked Baltazar.
“It’s breathtaking. Where is this?”
“This is the royal palace of the Ordorian Empire,” explained Baltazar, “which rules over the world more than a thousand years ago.”
“Ordoria… wasn’t it destroyed, though? Is that the dungeons’ legacies? What was even their goal…”
“No, this is Ordoria. Its people divided its power and sealed it in dungeons.”
“Why?” Reid was confused.
“I cannot tell you that. My role is to support the one who awakened me to become the new King of Ordoria.”
Reid took a step back. “King? This is too much for me.”
“I understand, but even if you don’t want that title, you don’t have a choice. The world won’t stop for that.”
“What do you mean?”
“The appearance of this continent will soon be known throughout the world,” Baltazar explained. “It may cause a war.”
“A war?! I don’t want that!” “We could avoid it.”
Reid stepped closer to the console, determined. “How?”
“By conquering all the dungeons. With all the treasures, you’ll gain overwhelming powers and no one will dare to fight you.”
“All of them? There are so many-” “That’s the only way.”
“I can’t do it, Baltazar.”
Without hesitation, Baltazar answered, “that is your destiny, Reid Athril.”

On that day, a bird was seen soaring the sky of Morgalea, heading to the royal capital of the Alessandro Empire.
“Sir Lois,” started Foress, “there seems to be urgent news from our spies in
Morgalea.” He gave a small tube that was attached to the bird’s leg to Lois.
Lois frowned at the message inside, which surprised Foress. He rarely saw him show emotions.
“Foress,” Lois said, with a forced calm voice, “call in a meeting immediately.” The meeting was held the same day, in the afternoon.
“A continent appeared on Morgalea’s territorial waters?! This is the stupidest thing
I’ve ever heard,” said the Minister of Defense, Clark Marshall. “Lois,” said the King, ignoring Clark, “Is it true?”
“So it seems, my King.” King Hyman trusted Lois, so there were no reasons for him not to believe in the recent report.
The King was in his fifties and had made sure to hire talented people no matter their status or age.
“How could something like this happen? Lois, what do you think?” The King valued Lois’ opinion and intelligence. He always sought Lois for advice.
“It seems like the content has appeared right where the Underwater Dungeon is.” “So you’re saying that someone has conquered that dangerous dungeon?”
“Yes, the possibility of this is high.”
The room fell silent. No one knew what to do, as such a situation was a first. “Your Majesty,” started the Minister of State, Edmund, “because of its size, there’s
a part of that continent that is on Alessandro territory.” People started to argue around Lois and Hyman. “Moreover, I’ve heard that the Conqueror is from Morgalea. If so, they have taken away one of Alessandro’s ruins – it is an act of hostility! We should do something about it.”
Many agreed with his statement – even Lois. But he knew it was too soon to confront Morgalea about this.
“Then,” Edmund continued, “this continent should belong to Alessandro! We should send a delegation to negotiate that territory with Morgalea. What do you think, your Majesty?”
King Hyman glanced at Lois, who nodded.
This situation is difficult, thought Lois, we need to determine what’s good and what’s bad for our Empire before taking any rash decisions…

In the royal Castle of Morgalea, the Crowned Prince Alan was next to his father’s bed, King Rudolf. “Father, please let me command our army,” demanded Alan. “According to our soldiers, a flying castle landed on that continent. The Conqueror must be in there! We don’t know what their intentions are, they might be a threat to our country! We need to capture him.”
“Son, no. It will create unnecessary confrontation. As Demitrius said – we should wait and see what they do.”
“Demitrius isn’t aggressive enough.” “I will not change my mind, Alan.”
Even if the King was ill and weakened, his words were final. Alan reluctantly left the room. A soldier waited for him outside.
“Prince, did the King change his mind?”
Alan shook his head. “They have a weak sense of crisis. It feels like I’m the only one that worries about this country.” He thought for a moment before saying, “Let’s contact the Guild and gather adventurers.”
