The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 23
The Shocking World
Chapter 23
“What?,” said Fyne, “what do you mean?”
“Today, we talked about Yogo’s kid,” replied her father. “Yogo’s little girl?,” her mother asked.
Axel nodded, “the child developed a high fever just a few days ago. She has a severe case of pneumonia. Her family was scared that she won’t make it, so they took her to a hospital outside of the village.”
“But, they can’t see a doctor, though?”
Ordos were not allowed to enter certain facilities, such as hospitals. That was because the lord, Sir Gloucester, hated Ordos.
“Yes, but they still tried. They didn’t get to see a doctor and came back. It seems like her pneumonia got worst after having left.”
“How is he feeling now?”
“She had a miraculous recovery.”
Both Fyne and her mother sighed in relief.
“But what does that have to do with us leaving the village?,” asked Fyne, confused.
“Our village and other Ordos from surrounding villages have complained about not
being able to enter hospitals.”
“Yeah!,” said Fyne, “Reid’s parents died because they couldn’t see a doctor!” Fyne was appalled by that law. Medical care should be given to anyone who needs it, no matter who they are. Ordos couldn’t even buy medicines.
“I know,” replied her Axel, “together with the volunteers from the surrounding villages, we decided to start a petition.”
Mary gasped. “But if you do that…”
“I know we’re not allowed to do such a thing, but if we don’t, nothing will change.” “Axel…”
“I agreed with that idea,” he said.
Fyne felt hopeless, but understood her father. If nothing is done, their dire condition will continue. Ordos children go to school but can’t even get jobs in town! Sometimes, Fyne didn’t feel like a person, most of her rights having been stripped at birth.
She had heard that a few towns were less discriminating, but still, she loved her village.
“Reid…” she muttered, her words barely audible.

500 kilometers away from the coast of Morgalea, Avalon stopped. It was right above the underwater ruins. Baltazar used the Book of the Sea, which released magical powers from under the castle, making the water below swirl. Gradually, the water pushes away from the ruins in a vortex. About ten minutes later, a clear land, without a single seaweed, appeared, like a hole in the sea. Avalon began its descent and landed at the bottom of the water-less sea.
“You may now search for the secret entrance,” started Baltazar, “although, I must warn you – the effects of the Book of the Sea are not permanent. They only last for an hour.”
“Noted,” answered Reid, “thank you.”
Reid and Orchid were then teleported to the ground. Reid looked around.
Even Baltazar doesn’t know the exact location of the loophole, he thought, in the end, we still have to look for it ourselves. We just have to be quick this time.
Reid and Orchid searched the area in a hurry, scared the water would come back and crash on them. Also, if they find the loophole within that hour, they’ll be safe inside it, as nothing will be able to enter it. After that, they’ll be able to teleport out.
To be more efficient, Reid asked Orchid to help out and look on her own. It was a race against time.
After fifty minutes, they finally found it. It was hidden behind rocks and coral. Reid managed to slide down the hole.
After Reid had confirmed that he had entered the loophole, Baltazar made Avalon return the sea to its normal state. Seaweed swirl, teasing at the secret entrance, without being able to enter it.
Reid’s throat bobbed at the sight, before starting his way down the familiar path. After a while, they finally reached the bottom of the dungeon, but something was odd.
The room was empty. No platforms, no boxes, no doors. It was just a narrow empty room.
Moreover, Baltazar hadn’t explained what kind of treasure Reid would find, he had only said You’ll understand once you see it. But at that moment, Reid was extremely confused.
“The reach of the lowest floor has been confirmed.” The voice echoed in his head.
Baltazar did say this dungeon held a very important treasure – perhaps it was stronger than Baltazar and Avalon. Reid gulped.
“The transfer of authority has been approved for the Unique number 06, Megalanica.”
Right after the voice had spoken, the ground started to shake. “What? What’s happening?”
Reid wasn’t the only one feeling the ground shake under his feet – so did the citizens of Morgalea. They were surprised to say the least, as Morgalea hardly ever experienced earthquakes. The tremors became louder and stronger.
Baltazar was checking the situation inside Avalon. Under it, the sea started to stir. The ground cracked with air bubbles rising to the surface, as well as glimpses of flames from submarine volcanoes. In a matter of minutes, earth raised from the water.
It wasn’t only a few rocks, or small islands – it was a huge land, three times the size of Morgalea.
Reid and Orchid were teleported on it, not far from the ruins. “Uhm? Where are we, Baltazar?,” asked Reid, confused.
“You are standing on the treasure of the Underwater dungeon, Megalanica.” “What?! This is land!”
“This is where the Ordorian Empire used to be… The Continent of Ordoria.”
Reid gasped. “Did you just say… continent?” Reid was at loss for words. No matter how far he looked around, he couldn’t see an end. He couldn’t believe something so huge could be one of the dungeons’ treasures.
Moreover, there was a large building in the distance. “Don’t tell me that’s a castle,” Reid said.
Baltazar didn’t answer. Perplexed, he started walking towards it.

The shocking news of a continent emerging from the sea reached the ears of Demitrius, the Prime Minister of Morgalea. He didn’t understand what the soldier was saying. He knew islands could form because of submarine volcanoes – but a whole continent? It didn’t make any sense.
Dozens of soldiers were sent to the coast to confirm the strange report. And there was no way around it: a continent had truly appeared from nowhere.
