The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 22
The Shocking World
Chapter 22
In the west of the Morgalea Principality laid an underwater ruin.
It had been found by accident by a fisherman who went out to the sea. His boat had deteriorated and had tipped over because of the waves. Thrown into the sea, the man noticed a broken structure at the bottom of it. The man, who had barely survived this ordeal, had told the whole town about his discovery, but no one believed him – except for the dungeon adventurers.
This story occurred several decades ago. What the man had found was an ancient temple. It was possible to access it but-
“This dungeon is at the bottom of the sea, that’s why it’s really difficult to conquer,
right?,” Reid started, “I’ve heard that it’s as impregnable as the Dragon’s Nest.”
“Yes, it is,” answered Baltazar. “Getting inside through its main entrance is already a hard task, but finding its secret entrance is even worst. It’s next to impossible…”
“So, what should we do?”
“First of all, we need to find the book that allows us to search the sea.” Reid gaped, confused.

The next day, Reid decided to conquer another dungeon. Turns out, before conquering the dungeon under the sea, Reid had to find two other treasures. He had to go to the dungeon situated in Utvelm and find its secret entrance with Orchid.
Once they arrived at the bottom level of the dungeon, they heard familiar voice.
“The reach of the lowest floor has been confirmed. The transfer of authority has been approved for the Magic Book 04, The Book of the Sea.”
Reid picked up the book that was placed on the shining platform. “So this is the Book of the Sea, huh?” He made it disappear before taking the circular ball that was Baltazar, out of his pocket. “I’m done, Baltazar. Let’s get back.”
“Understood.”
A light shone from the metallic ball and a circle of light appeared under their feet. In a second, they were back in Avalon.
“Alright,” said Reid, “you can take this now.”
“Please.” Reid inserted the book onto the console. “With this book, you can draw water out of the sea around a certain area. Thus, you’ll be able to enter the dungeon easily.”
According to Baltazar, the book doesn’t work on its own, it needs to be connected to Avalon. If Reid wanted to use it, he would have to go through Baltazar first.
“So, tomorrow, we go to the second dungeon,” said Reid. The loophole only worked at dusk, so entering two dungeons a night wasn’t possible.
The next day, they headed to the Orion Islands. Because of its fragile economy, the security of the islands and the management of its dungeons wasn’t optimal.
As they were searching around the entrance of the dungeon, a group of three men approached them. They used a language that Reid wasn’t familiar with. He glanced at Orchid, “Orchid, please, take it easy.” She nodded.
The men were only passing by. Reid sighed in relief. They kept on looking around until they found what they were looking for.
“The reach of the lowest floor has been confirmed. The transfer of authority has
been approved for the Unique number 02, The Library.”
This time, the pedestal was a square, with a crystal-like ball floating above it. When Reid tried to touch it, Baltazar, who was in his pocket, started to speak.
“This will give you modern knowledge.”
“What? How can such a small ball give me knowledge ?”
“This crystal is connected to the archives of the Sacred Church, a cult that’s scattered around the world,” Baltazar explained, “this cult was created by the Ordoria Empire to collect information.”
“Right, the Holy Religion…”
“You need their knowledge since I only have knowledge from the past, there’s a lot I don’t know.”
Reid nodded. It was true – Baltazar was so old that he didn’t even know the name of most of the modern countries.
As usual, Reid stated his name to the faceless voice before they teleported back to Avalon. He immediately placed the crystal on the console.
“We have everything we need,” said Baltazar. “We shall conquer the Dungeon Under the Sea tomorrow.”
“Right. Could you please move Avalon?,” asked Reid.
“Of course.”Avalon started to move slowly, heading to the next dungeon. In the meantime, Reid and Orchid teleported to the house.
The next day, Reid was working in the fields, as usual. He stopped to look at Orchid and Jack, on the edge of the field, waiting for him. He remembered that Reid hadn’t asked Orchid to come but she was still here.
“Reid !”
Reid frowned, “Fyne ! What’s up?” He started to panic – he was afraid the lie he had told about Orchid being someone of his family would be discovered.
“I haven’t seen you in a while, so I decided to come!,” Fyne said with a smile, which was short-lived. She saw Orchid and looked back to Reid, with a suspicious expression. “Reid, tell me, is she really your niece?”
“Uhm, yes, yes she is! She’s like, a really distant relative.”
Fyne hummed. She didn’t seem convinced, but he managed to change the subject before gathering his stuff to leave. When no one was in sight, he took out Baltazar from his pocket and asked him to teleport them to Avalon.

“Something is weird about Reid,” Fyne told her mother. “Lately, he’s been avoiding me on the fields, and leaving work very quickly.”
Fyne didn’t believe a word Reid had said about that girl.
“You sure are really interested in that man,” said her mother with a smile.
“Mom!”
Her mother only giggled back, when her father came back home from a village meeting. He looked troubled.
“Father, what did you talk about?”
His father sighed. “Please, come and sit at the table with me.” Fyne and her mother joined her father around the small table.
“It’s not sure yet but…” he paused, frowning, “we might have to leave this village
soon.”
