The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 21
The Most Dangerous Dungeon
Chapter 21
The first person to see the Castle were fishermen on his boat, offshore of Morgalea.
“Hey, what’s that?”
“It’s a rock? No, it looks like a Castle!”
The fishermen were stunned. They had never seen such a thing. A few hours later, the news of the Castle had reached the Royal Palace of Morgalea.
“What do you mean, a floating castle?,” said Prince Alan.
“Yes! It was reported to be floating in the sky,” replied the soldier. “It’s ridiculous. The fishermen must’ve been drunk.”
The Prince couldn’t believe it, and so did Demitrius but he didn’t think the fishermen were lying.
“Send a few soldiers, Alan, just in case,” advised the Chancellor. “Maybe the fishermen have mistaken this for something else. It’s still worth checking out.”
“Don’t be so reckless, Demitrius! We can’t afford the croups right now, they must
concentrate on finding the Conqueror!”
Against Prince Alan’s order, Demitrius still sent a few soldiers to the coast. The next day, the soldiers came back with reports about the Castle.
“There’s really a floating Castle in the sky?!,” Prince Alan said as he stood up from his chair. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“Yes, there’s no doubt. The reports are true.”
Demitrius’ mouth opened as he remembered something. “Something floating in the sky, uh? It has to do something with the Floating Island in Alessandro.”
“What do you mean, Demitrius?,” asked the King.
“It has been reported that the Empire’s border security has gotten stricter for the past few days.”
“Really? Why?”
Demitrius continued to explain the situation to the King. “The Floating Dungeon must’ve been conquered.”
The room was noisy. The King tried to focus on Demitrius’ words. “Please, continue.”
“Remember: when the first dungeon was conquered we also enforced our borders’ security so no one could leave and spread the news. Maybe that’s why they did it, too.”
“But the Floating Island is a really famous tourist spot. They can’t hide this forever,” said Alan.
“Yes, of course, as Alan said, they can’t keep it a secret forever – and the Alessandro Empire must know that too,” replied Demitrius.
“Could it be a temporary measure?” Demitrius and the King nodded.
“After conquering the dungeon, the Conqueror probably crossed over to another country to try and enter new dungeons. Their access is easier there.”
Each minister glared at Demitrius.
“Maybe the Castle is the Floating Dungeon’s treasure.” Demitrius paused. “It could be a threat to the country.”
“Surely, they could bring a large number of soldiers in that Castle,” said the Minister of Defense.
“What should I do, Demitrius?,” asked the King, frowning.
“The Castle is over the sea, it won’t be easily accessible. We should end some soldiers again to check it out-”
“Oh, c’mon!,” cut Prince Alan, “Alessandro could be trying to invade us and you just act as if they’re here for a picnic! We should be more aggressive!”
Demitrius thought about it too but he thought the possibility was low, but he didn’t argue. The King gave up as Alan kept on talking about it angrily.
In the end, no conclusion was reached as to what the country should do.

“I think it’s okay if we stop here,” Reid said. “There’s an airship behind us,” said Baltazar. “Uh?”
“It looks like an Alessandro airship. Judging by the distance they’ve put between us, I don’t think they plan on attacking us.”
“Wait,” Reid said, “did you know it was following us the whole time?” Reid was dumbfounded. Why would Baltazar keep going if he knew someone was following them?
“Avalon’s movements are slow, other countries would’ve noticed it anyways. We need to keep moving.”
Reid was taken aback by Baltazar’s emotionless voice – a voice he knew oh-too-
well.
“Why should we? Is there any reason to panic?”
“Soon, people will know there’s a loophole in dungeons.”
“What? Why? They have existed for centuries and no one ever knew! How could
they figure it out so quickly all of a sudden?”
Baltazar paused for a moment before replying, “because of you, Reid. Because you conquered them. Now each country will begin to question how such a thing is
possible. They’ll start searching for other ways to enter the dungeons.” “This means that, soon, other dungeons will be-”
“I think we still have some time,” cut Baltazar. “We should conquer as many dungeons as possible before they figure it out.”
“You just said that we needed to keep moving, now you want to conquer dungeons?”
“There are three important rules to follow to find a dungeon’s secret entrance. First is the distance: 5km around the dungeon’s entrance.”
“I already know that-”
“Then, it’s the time. The loophole only appears when the sun goes down.”
Reid was surprised. “Oh, really?” He had met the second rule without knowing it.
He had been really lucky.
“And lastly, without a clear purpose, you cannot find the loophole.”
Reid realized that he’d found the first loophole while trying to find Jack. After that, his purpose was to find the secret entrances.
“All of it was pretty coincidental…,” mumbled Reid.
“We need to conquer the most important dungeons and recover their treasures.” “I have no idea which dungeons are the most important, though.”
“No need to worry. I know everything about dungeons.” “Oh?” Reid was surprised. “That’s amazing.”
“Of course. That’s why I was surprised you found me so soon.” Reid could feel Baltazar’s pride in his voice. “Then, which dungeon should we go to next?”
“The most powerful treasure is 1200km southwest of here.” Baltazar used the map to show Reid. “It’s a dungeon that is at the bottom of the sea.”
Reid gulped.
