The Ultimate Glitch ~One Man Conquers a Dungeon That Humanity Couldn’t Conquer for Hundreds of Years, in Only Two Hours~ - Chapter 17
The Most Dangerous Dungeon
Chapter 17
“We still haven’t found the dungeon’s Conqueror?!”
The crowned Prince Alan Morgalea’s voice echoed in the Castle. The man had beautiful long blond hair that went down to his waist and piercing eyes. He was attending a military meeting in his sick father’s stead.
“No, not yet, Prince. We are looking for them right now, but since no one has come forward yet, we’re wondering if anyone ever will…”
“The treasure is national property!,” said Alan, “it can’t be possessed by a nobody!”
“But, sir, the law stipulates that the Conqueror has the ownership of the treasure once found…” The Chancellor, Demitrius, was doing his best to calm down the Prince.
“That law was made so we could buy the treasure. Besides, we don’t have to follow it so obediently, Demitrius.”
“Then, how about we do this: let’s announce that the person who conquered the dungeons has to come forward within a certain period of time. If they don’t, they’ll get punished,” advised the Minster of Defense.
“Uhm, that’s a good idea,” replied the Prince. “Everyone agrees with this plan, right?” He looked around the room with satisfaction.
“Please, sir, wait,” said Demitrius. “We shouldn’t come up with such hostile measures when we have no idea who the Conqueror is – they might retaliate. We should be more careful.”
In the end, opinions were divided and no conclusion was reached. After Demitrius saw the Prince out, he let out a sigh.
“Prince Alan is brutal, he has the quality of a king, but he tends to take actions too quickly,” said the Chief Executive, who had remained in the room with the Chancellor. He looked rather pale.
“I agree. I hope that strong personality of his doesn’t go the wrong way.”

“The meeting is about to start!”
In the kitchen, Reid, Orchid and Jack were seated around the table. The dog was on a chair, his tail wagging. Jack hoped he was getting a plate of food after this.
Orchid was looking at Reid, her face as expressionless as usual.
“The current issue we are facing is that Floating Castle,” he started. “I’ve left it in Alessandro and we need to move it, but I don’t know how.” The dog barked as if to take part in the meeting. Orchid strayed silent and Reid was worried she wasn’t listening, but he continued. “I think we should find the Baltazar Orchid told me about earlier. Do you have any idea where we could find it?,” he asked the girl.
“I do not know.”
Reid hated how cold Orchid was. “Then, do you know anything about Baltazar?” “As far as I remember, Baltazar was said to play the most important role in the
Ordorian Empire.”
“The most important role?”
“I cannot answer further. I do not have the authorization.”
Reid sighed, he realized it was as much information he could get. He tried to decipher Orchid’s words.
I guess the treasure’s importance depends on the dungeon’s difficulty, he thought. I should check out that other difficult dungeon I know.
There were many famous dungeons in the world, but there were three everyone knew about – a Floating Dungeon, a dungeon in a Lost Forest, and-
“The Dragon’s Nest.”
It’s a dungeon located in the swamps of the Orleans’ Confederation. It’s said to be the world’s most difficult dungeon.
“Alright,” he started, “I heard there were a lot of dragons in that dungeon, but it doesn’t concern me since I don’t actually go through the labyrinth. I’m just gonna check it out real quick…” Orchid’s eyes met Reid’s. “I guess you’re coming, aren’t you?”
“Of course.”

The Confederation of Orleans was located north of Morgalea, and possessed strong military power.
When the Dragon’s Nest was first discovered on the hillside of Orleans, a large number of military personnel were tasked to conquer it.
However, no one ever returned. The strength of the creatures inside exceeded human knowledge. Because of this, no one has ever stepped foot in the dungeon ever again. The Country even gave up on it.
Reid and Orchid were now walking around the world’s most dangerous dungeon. “Oh no, our shoes are gonna be all muddy!”. He had calculated the circumference around the dungeon’s entrance, as usual, and it was in the swamps. He sighed and started searching the area thoroughly. Orchid followed him silently.
Unlike other dungeons, this one was known to be empty, as adventurers and soldiers were too scared to enter it.
Or so he thought.
Someone was walking cheerfully a few meters from him. They had a sword in a case on his shoulder and wore a beautiful armor with a red cloak. The man smiled as he ran his fingers through his golden hair.
“Well hello there,” the man said, “I didn’t think I’d meet someone in a place like this! Are you adventures too?”
“No, we’re just tourists. What are you doing here?”
“Tourists? Here? You’re a stranger duo, aren’t you!” He put his hands on his hips and said, “what am I doing here? I’m here to conquer the dungeon, of course!”
Reid gaped. “You’re here to conquer the Dragon’s Nest?” He was surprised by the man’s words, but not frightened. He didn’t seem like a bad person, so Reid relaxed – and so did the strange man.
“I’m Arthur Bantis,” he said, “and you?” “I’m Reid Athril, and this is Orchid.”
“Reid and Orchid… Are you trying to visit the dungeon on your little touristic trip?”
“No, of course not. We just wanted to see its entrance and leave.” Reid paused, studying the man. “You say you want to conquer it, but do you know how dangerous the Dragon’s Nest is?”
“I do. That’s why it’s such an interesting challenge!,” he replied, before laughing.
Reid was amazed by Arthur’s confidence, but still, he said, “you might die, you know that, right?”
“It’s okay! I’m really strong!,” he replied with a wink.
