The Only Ending for the Villainous Pig Count Is Destruction - Chapter 29
Scene 029: Call
“How… how do I look…?” Wendy asked, blushing shyly.
“Hehe… it really suits you.”
‘Honestly… I just want to bring her home as my servant right this instant. Where in the world did such a cute girl come from?’ Bella thought, smiling.
“That should satisfy the Count,” Bella said. “He values appearances even in private, so as his exclusive maid, Wendy needs at least one outfit as charming as this.”
“R-really…? Hehe…” Wendy smiled innocently.
‘How could this girl make such an expression?’ Bella mused. When they first met, Wendy seemed like the unluckiest person, too fragile-looking to be a maid for the infamous Ruelberta family. It was surprising she had become Count Tristan’s exclusive maid, given his reputation. No one else ever dared to take the position.
‘I thought the Count would make her life miserable…’ Bella thought. But now, Wendy had a faint trace of happiness on her face, something no one who was being mistreated could display.
Bella reflected on how much the Count had changed. He was no longer the ruthless, money-obsessed man she had once known. He even willingly broke off their engagement and seemed to ignore her completely now. That annoyed Bella.
“Lady Bella, a-are you alright…?” Wendy asked, noticing Bella’s distracted expression.
“Huh?” Bella quickly composed herself. “Oh, I’m fine. Just lost in thought for a moment.”
“T-thank goodness… But, Lady Bella….” Wendy hesitated. “W-what kind of person was the Count before…?”
The question caught Bella off guard. She raised an eyebrow.
“What do you mean… what kind of person?”
“Well, since you were engaged to him until recently, you must know him well…”
Bella sighed. “I’ve known him for over ten years.”
“10 years…?”
“Yes. If I could go back, I’d slap myself for even paying him attention back then.”
Before he gained weight, Tristan was very handsome. His cold expression and tired gaze could make any woman fall for him, Bella included. But that was in the past—now she felt regretful for ever feeling that way.
“Well… he wasn’t that different from what you know. He was arrogant and insufferable. If I hadn’t been around, he wouldn’t have had a single friend.”
“Were you friends with the Count?” Wendy asked, eyes wide with curiosity.
“What?! No, of course not—” Bella stopped, realizing her words.
Wendy’s hopeful gaze made Bella relent. “Hah… Yes, we were friends. But that’s in the past. Now, we’re nothing.”
“I see…” Wendy nodded, looking thoughtful.
Feeling uncomfortable, Bella changed the subject. “Ahem. So, why don’t you just buy that dress?”
“H-huh? B-but…”
“You won’t leave empty–handed, will you? And it’s the Count’s money, so don’t worry.”
Wendy glanced at the price tag and shook her head. “N-no, it’s too much…”
“How much is it? …Wha—! 5 million Kaels?! For one dress…!” Bella exclaimed, covering her mouth quickly.
After a moment, the young lady from the Isaachel family forced an unbothered expression and said, “Well… Luelcia is a luxury brand. So it’s cheap. If they had it in my size, I’d buy one too.”
“We do have other sizes available, Lady Bella,” an employee nearby said, smiling.
“Hmm?!” Bella turned to face the employee, who had recognized her.
“How about this outfit? It would suit you perfectly, Lady Bella.”
“Well, I…” Bella hesitated, but Wendy suddenly shouted.
“I-I’ll buy this dress!”
“What…?” The employee looked at Wendy skeptically. “Do you have sufficient funds? Everything in Ruelcia is quite expensive….”
Bella’s temper flared. “Excuse me, how dare you speak to a customer like that? This girl is—”
“I-I have money!” Wendy interrupted, pulling out a glowing purple card. The employee’s expression shifted immediately.
“A card…? Are you perhaps affiliated with a noble family?”
A card was a rare object, crafted with advanced magical technology, used only by the wealthiest families.
‘How much could that card be worth?’ Bella wondered.
Probably billions. The fact that the Ruelberta family used so much money so casually made her feel a pang of envy.
“Y-yes… the Count said this would be enough to buy the dress…” Wendy said softly.
“The Count… you say?” The employee took the purple card from Wendy, glancing at the family crest and name engraved on it. Upon reading it, her face went ashen.
“P-please excuse me!” they stammered before running off. Wendy and Bella stood there, bewildered.
A few moments later, a man in an elegant suit approached them. “I’m Eugene, the manager of Luelcia ’s flagship store,” he said, bowing deeply.
Then, to their astonishment, he knelt before Wendy. “It seems our employee made a grave mistake. I apologize deeply.”
“H-huh? N-no, it’s okay…” Wendy stammered, confused by his exaggerated response.
“I checked the card personally. You may take the item right away.”
“Oh, thank you so much,” Wendy said, bowing.
Eugene waved his hands. “Oh no, not at all. Luelcia belongs to the Ruelberta family. If there’s anything you want, just take it.”
“Whaaa?!” Both Wendy and Bella exclaimed in shock, mouths agape.

At that moment, Lucy Mekhael sat on her throne, twisting her body uneasily. Today had been nothing more than a dull routine of sitting still and nodding silently, but for Lucy, it was an unbearable time. The weight of the title “Empress of the Mekhael Empire” made her feel as if she was suffocating.
“I just want to give up…” Lucy whimpered softly. But there was no one to listen to her plea. If Marco had been there, he would have immediately shut her down, calling it nonsense, and probably given her an earful of scolding.
“This is agony. Why do I have to be the empress…?” Lucy buried her face in her knees. She knew. She would never be fit to sit on the throne, and she was painfully aware that she lacked the ability to rule this nation.
Lucy removed her golden deer mask, revealing the trembling face of a girl filled with doubt. “Ugh… time, just pass quickly. Please…” There wasn’t much time left. Soon, “she” would awaken.
Lucy stared blankly at the gloves lying on the shelf, praying that nothing would happen before then. She couldn’t bear to handle anything more on her own.
Beep-!
“Eek!?” Lucy jumped up from her throne. The sound had come from behind the throne.
“Wh-Who’s there…?” she trembled as she peered behind it. But no one was there. All that was left was a small stone, small enough to fit in one hand. It was a magical summoner, used for emergency communication. Though outdated, it was still quite useful since it couldn’t be tapped. The summoner was glowing faintly.
It was a notification. Judging by the red light, it was probably from Marco.
“Ugh…” She didn’t want to check, but she couldn’t ignore it. If she did, “she” would be furious.
Reluctantly, Lucy read the message on the summoner. It didn’t take long for her face to go pale.
– Your Majesty, it’s an emergency.
– Shall I intervene?
