Senior Sister, Shut Up! - Chapter 96: Boss, I Plan to Confess. What Do You Think?
Jiang Miao and Su Huaizhou walked hand in hand to the supermarket.
The two of them barely spoke along the way. They held their phones in their other hands and typed skillfully with one hand.
To outsiders, they might look like a couple who had just had a fight and were stubbornly ignoring each other out of anger.
Who would have thought that they were now wearing their own aliases and ‘battling’ online?
Originally, after discovering that Senior Sister was very likely Congee Boss, Jiang Miao wanted to escape from the planet because of the terrifying extent of his social death.
But now, his thinking had taken a turn. He realized that Senior Sister wasn’t in much of a better situation than him.
In fact, she might be even worse off.
If Jiang Miao were to expose Senior Sister’s identity now, then all those times Congee Boss had urged him to seal the deal would instantly become a solid foundation that led Senior Sister to her own seat on the throne of social death.
“Senior Sister, who were you chatting with?” Jiang Miao asked curiously as they entered the supermarket, both of them having put their phones back in their pockets.
“Huh? Shen Yu,” Su Huaizhou replied with a normal expression, instantly weaving a flawless lie. She covered her mouth and giggled. “She went home for three days and was treated like a princess by her parents. But on the fourth day, they started complaining about her sleeping in.”
Jiang Miao laughed along with her, but he sighed inwardly. I have to hand it to you, Senior Sister. Your acting skills are something else.
Thinking back, he realized that Senior Sister had clearly known his identity as Peach Jam from the very beginning, but she pretended otherwise the entire time.
It wasn’t until he accidentally fell asleep in the Political Work Group’s office that she took this opportunity to expose him.
From the looks of it, Senior Sister really knows how to play.
Why was she peeling an onion with him, layer by layer?
And now, she was even playing a grooming game with him. On the one hand, she used her Congee Boss identity to guide him on how to pursue her, and on the other hand, she used her identity as a senior sister and loyal reader to tempt him everywhere.
How could a pure and innocent virgin like him defend against this?
Even so…
The situation had reversed!
Jiang Miao’s lips curled into a smile. Now that he understood the situation, his mood immediately lifted.
Senior Sister, oh Senior Sister.
You think I’m on the first level and you’re on the second.
But in fact, I’m already on the third level!
Holding Senior Sister’s hand, he placed pork belly, green peppers, red peppers, and so on into the shopping cart, no longer worried at all.
After clearly understanding Senior Sister’s true feelings, he now felt zero pressure from holding her hand.
Looking back, he wasn’t sure about the early stages, but in the later stages, every time Senior Sister offered to help him gather material, it was probably just an excuse.
She just wanted to seduce him in various ways so that he couldn’t help but confess.
“Hmm? Why are we buying corn?” Su Huaizhou didn’t notice any change in Junior Brother. She was puzzled when she saw him putting corn, pork ribs, and winter melon into the cart.
“Senior Sister, we can’t just have one dish for dinner.” Jiang Miao smiled. “These are for making soup.”
“Actually, I can just eat stir-fried pork,” she said earnestly.
“Then I’m afraid all I’ll have for dinner is peppers and rice.”
“What do you mean?” Su Huaizhou teased, “At least I’ll leave you a couple of pieces of pork.”
Then I’ll have to eat something else, Jiang Miao thought as he glanced at Senior Sister’s exquisite face and rosy lips.
“Senior Sister, do you have any rice at home? If not, we should buy a small bag.”
“I’m definitely out. Even if there’s some left, it’s probably gone bad.”
They grabbed a bag of rice, and when they passed by the snack aisle, Su Huaizhou tossed a bunch of snacks into the cart.
After leaving the supermarket, both of them were carrying bags of groceries.
They couldn’t hold hands for now.
“Senior Sister, do you use QQ?” Jiang Miao suddenly hit her with a direct question just as they were about to reach the entrance of Building 3, Unit 1.
“Huh? Uh…” Su Huaizhou was stunned for a moment, a little frightened. She turned her head and pretended to recall as she tried her best to keep her voice steady. “Yes, but I don’t use it much. After starting college, I mostly used WeChat.”
“Oh, I see…” He nodded. “When I started my book, I created a reader group on QQ. Now that it’s going premium, I plan to set up an exclusive group for subscribers. I was thinking about asking you if you’d like to be an admin or something.”
“No need. My task is to keep an eye on Peach Jam~ and make you keep writing diligently!” She swiftly deflected the topic, redirecting the conversation to his writing.
Despite her smooth response, her heart started beating faster.
Her Congee Boss account was still in the reader group.
And she didn’t have an alternate account.
If she made a new one now, it would be too easy for people to figure out something was off.
If Junior Brother insisted on making her an admin, it could turn into a truly sticky situation.
At the side, Jiang Miao clicked his tongue in his mind. He didn’t expect Senior Sister to be so difficult to deal with.
He didn’t realize it before, but it seemed that Senior Sister was quite the actress.
He couldn’t see a single flaw.
If not for his sharp intuition, noticing something off about Congee Boss’s behavior, he would still be in the dark.
If he had cluelessly gotten into a relationship with Senior Sister, and then she brought this up to tease him, wouldn’t he have no family status??
Fortunately, things were different now.
Now that he had basically confirmed Senior Sister’s hidden identity, he could play many more tricks than she could.
[Peach Jam]: Boss, if Senior Sister helps me cook tonight, and I suddenly confess, how do you think it would go?
After going upstairs and putting down the bags of groceries, Jiang Miao used the excuse of needing to use the bathroom to hide inside and send this message.
In the living room, when Su Huaizhou saw this message, two bright patches of red appeared on her originally calm face, and her breathing quickened. She was suddenly caught in a whirlwind of anxiousness and nervousness.
What should I do?!
Is Junior Brother going to confess later?!
Even though she had been looking forward to it, now that it was actually happening, she still showed a bit of bashful girlishness, looking nervous, excited, and expectant.
But on QQ, she wasn’t fazed at all.
[Congee Boss]: Go for it! Don’t hesitate! Just do it!
[Congee Boss]: You two are already at this stage. As long as you confess, it’s a sure thing!
Su Huaizhou bit her lip as she sent these messages, suddenly unable to wait any longer.
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Jiang Miao finished using the toilet, washed his hands, wiped them clean, and took out his phone.
When he saw Congee Boss’s messages, a mischievous grin spread across his face.
First things first, time for screenshots.
Jiang Miao saved screenshots of everything Congee Boss had said, preparing gifts for Senior Sister’s future social death throne.
It wouldn’t be as fun to expose her outright.
Senior Sister had used her identity as Congee Boss to tease him for so long.
His request wasn’t too high. He’d at least need to get back at her three times to feel satisfied, right?
Just imagining Senior Sister secretly anticipating his confession made him immediately reveal a triumphant smile.
Senior Sister, don’t blame me for this.
Instead of letting me suffer social death alone, why don’t we enjoy it together?
With this thought in mind, Jiang Miao pushed the door open and walked out of the bathroom. His eyes immediately met Senior Sister’s.
He naturally revealed a trace of nervousness and pretended to avert his gaze awkwardly.
As for Su Huaizhou, she had already composed herself and returned to her usual demeanor.
“Senior Sister, I’m going to wash the vegetables.”
“I’ll help you.”
Both of them sharpened their acting skills and walked into the kitchen with the fresh ingredients they had just bought.
