Here’s the thing: I’m kind of a face con and I get pretty judgmental about characters’ appearances. The MC keeps describing herself as ugly or average-looking, and even though other characters seem to think she looks fine, I’ve read so much of her being down on herself that it’s stuck in my head now. Like, personally? I’m confident about my looks, so it really bothers me when characters (or anyone really) keeps calling themselves ugly. Like BROOO STOP??? Especially with MCs!

I just can’t. I know I’m being judgmental af, but I’m dropping this novel because I’m too much of a bitch to translate a story where the MC supposedly has an ugly face. I really don’t want to disappoint the readers, but I literally cannot find the motivation when all I can think about is her supposedly ugly mug.”
