Return of Hades - chapter 02
Return of Hades:
Episode 2
“Ugh, ugh, ugh!”
Yin guihao felt nauseous.
But regardless, Wi ji-yeon’s hand was relentless.
He pushed Kinghadan right to the back of his throat.
“If you just swallow here, the elixir will go into your throat.”
“…!”
“If I apply a little more force, it should work. How about it? You’re feeling good since you’re about to eat an expensive elixir, right?”
Of course, that was impossible.
The proof was that Inguiho’s face had turned pale.
He looked up at Wi ji-yeon with trembling eyes.
The corners of Inguiho’s mouth trembled slightly.
“Ugh, ugh…”
Yin guihao pleaded with a crushed voice.
But Wi ji-yeon’s expression remained the same as before.
He spoke coldly.
“Refusing to eat the elixir means you must have something to hide. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be reacting like this.”
“…”
“Were you planning to poison me using Kinghadan?”
“N-no!”
“Mr. Gong! P-poison?!”
The mention of poison surprised Xiang Dan and Bai yul even more.
They looked at Wi ji-yeon and Yin guihao with shocked expressions. For them, it was like a bolt from the blue.
“I’m going to take Kinghadan out of your mouth now. It’s better not to move if you don’t want to accidentally swallow it.”
“…!”
Suddenly!
Wi ji-yeon pulled Kinghadan out of his mouth and held it in front of Yin guihao’s eyes.
His hand was soaked with saliva from having it in his mouth, but he didn’t care at all.
He looked down at Yin guihao and spoke clearly.
“You better start answering well from now on. If your answers aren’t to my liking, I’ll shove this back down your throat.”
“Y-yes, Mr. Gong.”
“Good. Who ordered it?”
Of course, the culprit already knew.
But it was meaningful only to hear the confession directly.
Wi ji-yeon patiently waited for Yin guihao’s answer.
“It was… a masked warrior.”
“A masked warrior?”
“Yes. They bribed me to make you eat this…”
He pointed at Kinghadan while saying that.
Wi ji-yeon frowned.
“You’re not lying, are you?”
“W-why would I lie? It’s true, Mr. Gong.”
The frantic waving of his hands didn’t seem like the behavior of someone lying.
Wi ji-yeon narrowed his eyes.
‘A masked warrior.’
He had a rough idea of who it might be.
It could be his uncle or one of his uncle’s subordinates.
But there was far too little evidence to do anything substantial.
‘I thought I could bring down my uncle in one fell swoop.’
It was disappointing, but there was nothing he could do.
‘Just the fact that my dantian isn’t destroyed is a huge gain.’
One of the regrets from his previous life had vanished.
Thinking that, Wi ji-yeon pressed down on Yin guihao’s blood and spoke.
“Bai Warrior.”
“Yes, yes!”
“Hand this physician over to the Law Protection Team. And make sure to inform the family properly.”
Wi ji-yeon paused for a moment before continuing.
“Some bastard is trying to take my life.”
