- Ch. 10 - The Overbearing CEO's Little Wild Cat (9)
“Don’t worry, I won’t die.”
Su Qiao didn’t want to engage initially, but remembering her current identity, she coldly threw out a sentence.
“Oh,” Lin Shen took a step back, a bit wary.
How could it be such a coincidence?
Running into her again?
Looking closely, although this young woman looked like a doll, the stern expression on her face gave off a vibe that she wasn’t someone to be messed with.
She exuded a contradictory aura.
She was indeed hard to ignore, no wonder even the CEO kept looking at her.
But…
For the CEO’s safety, it was best to keep some distance.
With this thought, Lin Shen intended to step back, but then he noticed a shadow cast on the ground beside him.
Turning his head, he realized that his superior had followed too.
“President, she…” Lin Shen tried to warn him.
“It’s fine.” Qin Mohan shot him a sidelong glance, his gaze landing on the slender young woman on the ground.
He had been casually glancing around from the bridge railing earlier.
But unexpectedly, with just one look, his attention was caught.
It wasn’t because of the young woman’s delicate and pretty face, but rather because of the calm, almost indifferent expression she wore.
This wasn’t the demeanor one would expect from an ordinary young woman.
Moreover, during the previous car accident, it seemed that she had jumped out of the car window before the vehicle went out of control.
It was clear that something must have happened in the car that forced her to make the decision to jump out.
Qin Mohan narrowed his long, dark eyes slightly.
Having such courage while remaining this composed—it was definitely not ordinary.
No wonder he had thought she seemed special when they were in the elevator earlier.
Now that he saw her up close, this feeling grew even stronger.
Her eyes, clear and bright, black and white sharply contrasted with pupils like obsidians that appeared exceptionally deep and cold under the streetlights.
Those eyes were truly beautiful.
A strange itch rose in his heart, an urge to possess them.
Feeling tempted, Qin Mohan slightly parted his thin lips and asked, “Can you still stand?”
Hearing this low, magnetic voice, which was unusually calm, Su Qiao shook her dizzy head, suppressing the sharpness in her gaze.
Her voice was a bit weak. “My ankle’s sprained, I’m dizzy, and I feel like throwing up.”
Heh, she changed so quickly.
In just a moment, her gaze turned innocent, free of any aggression, like a little white rabbit.
However, the lack of expression on that delicate face created an inexplicable sense of contrast and cuteness.
It was a little cute, and kind of desirable.
Qin Mohan rubbed his callous fingers, and an absurd thought suddenly emerged in his mind.
She really did remind him a bit of the little white cat he used to raise when he was a child.
Both looked fragile but were actually quite fierce.
Yet, no matter how fierce, once in his hands…
In that moment, Qin Mohan entertained the idea of taking care of her.
Maybe keeping a little thing like her wouldn’t be so bad.
The irritation he had been feeling for days suddenly dissipated, and his mood improved significantly.
Knowing that his superior wasn’t talkative and disliked saying much, Lin Shen stepped forward again.
“It’s probably a concussion. Resting for a while should help. When the doctor arrives, he can do a thorough checkup. She’ll be fine.”
“But fortunately, she’s not seriously hurt. The car and the driver went into the river, and it’s still bubbling. Chances are things don’t look good for them.”
Good thing his own driving skills were decent.
If he had been careless, he might have ended up like that car—crashing through the bridge rail and plunging into the river…
He couldn’t even imagine such a scenario.
Lin Shen wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.
“Things don’t look good?” Su Qiao let out a cold chuckle. “Heh, he got off easily.”
If he hadn’t died, and she had gotten her hands on him, she would have used all her poisons on him, turning him into a living corpse and making him experience a fate worse than death.
“What?”
