- Chapter 35. Step by Step, Pressing Closely.
Xiao Lian did not feel fear when she saw Wu’er like this. With the advantage in numbers, Wu’er’s actions seemed almost comical to her.
To Xiao Lian, Wu’er was like a cornered wolf, no longer posing any real threat.
What she didn’t realize was that a wolf, when desperate, could summon boundless fighting strength. Despite their numerical advantage, they were no match for Wu’er.
As they slowly advanced, intending to use their numbers to capture her, Wu’er finally brandished her sharp sword and struck at them with fierce determination.
Only Xiao Lian sustained superficial wounds; the others remained unscathed. Taking advantage of the moment, Xiao Lian managed to snatch the sword from Wu’er’s grasp.
Her face twitched with pain, yet she had no intention of letting Wu’er escape. She instructed the other maids to bring Wu’er to justice.
Now unarmed, Wu’er had her sword taken away. Although she had memorized the cultivation method taught by Xiao Heng, she had no opportunity to use it against so many foes.
Relying solely on her instincts for self-defense, Wu’er faced off against maids who, despite their numbers, were inexperienced in martial arts and lacked physical strength.
With eyes as fierce as a wolf’s, Wu’er bared her teeth and flashed her sharp nails, embodying the ferocity of a cornered beast.
She was prepared to tear apart those who had cornered her!
Wu’er’s frenzied actions instilled fear in the approaching maids. After all, Xiao Lian had already been injured, and her blood still pooled on the ground.
Seeing Wu’er’s somewhat deranged state, the maids began to hesitate and shrink back.
Noticing their timidity, Xiao Lian quickly hid behind them and shouted, urging them to capture Wu’er quickly, warning that Luo Yue would punish them if they failed.
Spurred by Xiao Lian’s threats, a young girl finally gathered the courage to leap at Wu’er.
However, the fierce Wu’er caught her, raking her nails across the girl’s arm, leaving two deep wounds from which blood flowed freely. The girl cried out in pain.
Wu’er’s eyes, filled with vigilance and malice, made it clear she would not allow herself to be harmed. She wanted retribution for her injuries.
Her savage actions caused the rest of the maids to recoil further. With one of them now injured, they all huddled together, unwilling to face Wu’er.
Wu’er’s ferocity made them all fearful of getting hurt themselves!
“You useless lot. After all this time, you still haven’t captured her? What good are you to me?”
Luo Yue, having waited impatiently, could no longer remain idle and decided to intervene personally.
“Miss, it’s not that we’re useless. This girl is insane, as ferocious as a wolf. Just look at how she’s hurt us!”
As soon as Xiao Lian saw Luo Yue arrive, she tearfully recounted the ordeal.
Blood covered the ground, and a young girl bore the vicious marks of Wu’er’s attack. Xiao Lian’s own arm was also bleeding profusely.
“What did you say? She did all of this? You are utterly useless! An entire group being bullied by a mere girl to this extent? What good are you?!”
Luo Yue surveyed the blood-stained ground, her gaze meeting Wu’er’s vicious eyes. A surge of anger welled up inside her.
She couldn’t believe they had been bested by Wu’er!
“Miss, she did all this. She injured us all by herself. It’s not that we’re useless; this wild girl is simply too fierce!”
Xiao Lian, hearing Luo Yue’s rebuke, felt a pang of sadness.
They had done everything for her, and now they were in this pitiful state. Even she had been injured. Yet, Luo Yue showed no concern, only disdain for their failure.
Despite this, Xiao Lian couldn’t voice her grievances. She had grown accustomed to such treatment. Luo Yue had never regarded them as equals. No matter what happened, it was expected.
“She’s just a wild girl. How could she pose such a challenge? You have numbers on your side. Are you telling me you can’t handle one wild girl?”
Luo Yue was incredulous. She pointed angrily at Xiao Lian, her face a mask of fury.
In the Lishan Sword Sect, Luo Yue’s word was law. No one dared defy her wishes. She treated everyone with the same domineering attitude.
Even the Sect Master doted on her, striving to fulfill her every desire.
But she hadn’t expected to hit such a snag today. No matter what, she couldn’t accept this.
Determined to teach this wild girl a lesson herself, Luo Yue intended to enforce the rules of the Lishan Sword Sect.
Unable to contain her anger, Luo Yue dismissed any thoughts of Elder Ming Zhe. Today, she had to restore her honor and make Wu’er pay.
Just as she was about to confront Wu’er, Luo Yue caught sight of Wu’er’s sinister face and fierce eyes. Wu’er’s hands, smeared with blood, made her hesitate. A flicker of fear crept in.
“You all, hold her down. Don’t let this wild child hurt me. Do you understand?”
Halting her advance, Luo Yue commanded the girls beside her.
She ordered them to restrain Wu’er’s hands and feet, ensuring she couldn’t move or cause harm.
Wu’er, aware of their intentions, glared at them fiercely. Without a sword, she brandished her bloody hands and bared her teeth like a wolf, her gaze locked onto them.
Remembering their previous encounter, the girls hesitated to approach Wu’er. Yet, Luo Yue’s pressure from behind compelled them to act.
They found themselves in a tough spot.
“Hurry up and do it. What are you waiting for? If you delay, are you going to let her escape?” Luo Yue’s relentless urgency bore down on them.
As long as they could restrain Wu’er, Luo Yue would have the opportunity to act.
However, how could these girls dare to carry out such an order? This was never their intention. Yet, with Luo Yue relentlessly pressuring them from behind, they felt compelled to follow through and bully the defenseless.
