No Alphas Allowed - C112
#112
Even as he entered the large mansion, Suho couldn’t believe what was happening to him was real. Going to meet Taeyun’s family – how could something so sudden happen? Moreover, seeing the brightly lit mansion that illuminated the surroundings made him feel strange. It felt like the world was dark and only he and Taeyun existed, yet the house seemed to be shining a bright light welcoming them.
“Taeyun, wait a moment, don’t I smell right now? I think I need to change clothes too.”
Suho sniffed his arm, burying his nose in it. Perhaps because he had been exposed to the sea breeze for so long, he kept inhaling, feeling like he smelled of salt. However, the moment Taeyun approached as he watched Suho hesitate, all other smells were masked by his pheromones.
“If it’s just smell, I can cover it with my pheromones.”
“You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”
“Since you’re my lover, it doesn’t matter if you’re covered in it. Rather, it feels like I’m marking you as mine, which I like even more.”
He had subtly covered Suho with his pheromones before, but today he seemed to have done so deliberately. Satisfied with this, Taeyun started walking again as if nothing else mattered, and Suho found himself following along.
Except for when he rang the doorbell earlier, Taeyun’s actions were uninhibited, as if he had completely entered his own world. Once he made a decision, he pushed forward without looking back, leaving no room for Suho to try to stop him.
Before waiting for someone to open the door, Taeyun opened the front door himself. Feeling the warm air flowing out from inside, Suho instinctively stepped aside next to the door and stood up straight.
“Come in.”
Seeing Suho hiding with his chin down, Taeyun let out a silent laugh and gently grabbed his wrist to pull him in. Though Suho unconsciously tried to resist by planting his feet, Taeyun wouldn’t let him. He didn’t pull roughly, but used just enough force to bring Suho to his side.
Thanks to this, Suho, who had wanted to hide anywhere, ended up entering Taeyun’s family home without being able to avoid it until the end. As the warmth clung to his skin, the curious gazes of unfamiliar people standing in front of the entrance also followed.
Two men who resembled Taeyun, one woman, and another woman with a small build and cute appearance were standing there. Who would have thought four people would be waiting in a row? Suho took a deep breath and looked at Taeyun. Taeyun seemed to think the same, frowning and showing signs of discomfort.
“Why are you all standing there?”
“We couldn’t help but be curious.”
The woman who resembled Taeyun spoke without taking her eyes off Suho. Though he would later be introduced as Kwon Taehee, for now Suho could only guess who she was and simply stood there.
At Kwon Taehee’s curious response, Taeyun wrapped his arm around Suho’s shoulders as if understanding and introduced him.
“Jeong Suho. My lover, the person I’m going to marry, and my omega.”
“You don’t need to emphasize that he’s yours so much, young master.”
His sister-in-law So Jinha said, biting her lower lip to suppress a smile. How can our young master not even make a normal introduction?
And as if the introduction was over, Taeyun tried to go inside, but looked down at the hand grabbing his clothes. Responding to Suho’s signal asking with his eyes if he shouldn’t introduce them, Taeyun briefly made an annoyed expression. It was clearly written on his face that he didn’t think it necessary to introduce his brothers and sister, who weren’t particularly important in his life, to Suho.
“Oldest brother, second brother, second brother’s wife, and sister.”
At that, Kwon Tae-ha let out an incredulous laugh, but looked with amazement at Taeyun answering obediently when normally he would have ignored and passed over it.
“I’m sorry for the late hour.”
Suho bowed deeply. Thinking about how they must have waited for them until this hour, he felt too embarrassed to make eye contact. If he had known it would be like this, he should have come up to Seoul with Taeyun earlier. He thought they could have had the conversation they had on the beach in the car as well, but it was too late for regrets now.
“Don’t stand, have a seat.”
So Jinha gently wrapped her arms around Suho’s back and arms and led him to the middle of the living room. As he walked following her lead, Suho looked back at Taeyun who was following. He sent a look asking if it was really okay to go in like this, but Taeyun was twitching his eyebrows with a different meaning.
Quickly noticing why Taeyun was showing signs of discomfort, So Jinha swallowed a faint smile and removed her hands from Suho. She had only meant to guide Suho inside so he wouldn’t refuse, but even that seemed to displease Taeyun, showing his extraordinary possessiveness.
As So Jinha distanced herself from Suho, Taeyun quickly slipped into that empty space.
“Come sit over here.”
Taeyun placed his hand on Suho’s back and pointed to a seat. And as soon as Suho sat down, Taeyun sat next to him and asked for warm chamomile tea to be brought out.
“It’s not good to drink coffee at night.”
While Taeyun was asking for tea, Suho turned his head to another curious gaze. A middle-aged couple was sitting on the sofa.
“I wanted to go out to greet you too, but I thought it might be more burdensome if we were all standing there.”
At the words of Yoon Miso, Taeyun’s mother, Suho shook his head vigorously as if to say it was fine. They clearly looked like Taeyun’s parents, so there was no reason to be displeased.
“I’m Jeong Suho.”
“I’m Yoon Miso. This is Kwon Janghak, Taeyun’s father.”
“I’m sorry for the late hour.”
As Suho was bowing deeply to Kwon Janghak as well, Taeyun pulled his arm as if telling him to sit back down.
“A seated greeting is enough. I didn’t bring you here to trouble you, so sit comfortably.”
Thanks to Taeyun saying what he wanted even with his whole family listening, Suho felt a bit uncomfortable. It was because Taeyun was only looking after Suho, not even glancing at his family, when he had only greeted them so far.
“Aren’t you hungry? Are you tired? You must have only slept in the car earlier, how much did you sleep yesterday?”
“I’m fine.”
Suho found it difficult to focus on Taeyun’s words due to the curious gazes directed at him. Moreover, as Taeyun’s questions continued endlessly, he felt like he had experienced a similar situation somewhere before. Then realizing it was at the hospital, he wondered why Taeyun didn’t care about others’ gazes at all. Thanks to this, the family’s gazes intensified, and Suho was strongly convinced that he alone had to bear it.
“Your house is big and nice.”
Not knowing what to say, Suho just looked around the house and made a polite comment. He didn’t know what kind of answer Taeyun would add to that.
“Should I give you this house?”
“…Why would you give me this house.”
Suho swallowed a sigh and stopped Taeyun in a lowered voice. Why is he offering to give the house? As Suho tried to stop Taeyun, who was saying outrageous things so casually, Taeyun looked around with a calm gaze and nodded.
“You’re right. You probably don’t want something someone else has used? Then I’ll give you my building.”
“…”
Suho looked at Taeyun with an incredulous gaze. Even at Suho’s look asking if he was really serious, Taeyun didn’t change his words at all.
Is he really crazy?
“It’s better to just keep your mouth shut.”
“You don’t like that either?”
At Taeyun’s question of what he should give then, Suho shook his head. He was getting so caught up in Taeyun’s words that he was forgetting where they were.
“Why on earth are you offering to give me a building? Why would you give that? Do I look like I urgently need a building?”
“I said it because it seemed nice, was that not good?”
Taeyun lowered the ends of his eyebrows as if asking Suho not to get angry. Suho was about to dismiss it as something Taeyun often did, when he suddenly remembered the presence of others. He glanced sideways briefly before quickly returning his gaze.
Everyone was listening to Taeyun and Suho’s conversation as if they had no intention of interrupting. Some were even smiling as if amused, causing Suho’s face to turn bright red.
Why did I have such a silly conversation with Taeyun in this setting? This is all Taeyun’s fault.
“Anyway, don’t say things like that.”
Obviously, what parent would be happy if their son offered to give a building in this situation? It only showed how completely smitten their son was with his lover. Suho felt awkward and sent Taeyun a look telling him to stop talking. But to Taeyun, it only came across as a cute display of affection that wasn’t scary at all, which was the problem.
“You don’t like buildings? Then what do you like, Senior?”
As Taeyun acted as if he wanted to give Suho anything, Suho turned away from him with a fed-up look.
“Ahem. Even I think that would be burdensome for Suho-kun.”
As the second oldest brother, Kwon Tae-ha, backed up Suho’s opinion, Taeyun’s eyebrows curved upwards. Seeing his younger brother’s unfavorable reaction, Kwon Tae-ha quickly added:
“I was going to say securities would be better.”
“Stocks would be good too. What do you think?”
Suho ignored Taeyun’s words as he brightened up, immediately picking up on Kwon Tae-ha’s suggestion. Of course, it was a refusal. His bottom fidgeted, wanting to get up, as strange talk of buildings and securities was exchanged at what was supposed to be a meeting to introduce the family.
“That’s enough. Suho-ssi must be very uncomfortable.”
At that moment, So Jinha stepped in and poured brewed chamomile tea into a cup, offering it to Suho.
“I heard you liked the cake I sent to the young master before.”
“Ah… I ate it well. Thank you.”
“If you really enjoyed it, would you like to meet with me occasionally to taste cakes? We have many female customers to taste the cakes released each quarter, but not many male customers. I’d like it if you could help, what do you think?”
“I’d love to. Please call me anytime.”
Suho readily accepted So Jinha’s offer after continuously refusing Taeyun’s proposals.
