No Alphas Allowed - C111
#111
What is he saying? Suho’s eyes wavered in confusion. Imprinting? It was a topic he hadn’t thought of at all. Knowing Suho would be surprised, Taeyun calmly began his story.
“I recently visited a research lab. They requested to do an experiment, and I agreed, but stopped halfway through.”
This was the first time Suho was hearing about this. Taeyun plopped down on the sandy beach and gestured for Suho to come sit beside him. Seeing the sand rise slightly as Taeyun patted the ground, Suho soon sat down next to him. It seemed like they would have a lot to talk about today.
“There was a problem. I could sense omega pheromones, but it felt strangely superficial. It was supposed to be an experiment to see how many omega pheromones I could handle, but since I wasn’t affected at all, we couldn’t continue. I thought that was the end of it, but the director requested further tests.”
It seems he hadn’t been busy just because of work, to the point of often missing classes. Without noticing that dusk had fallen, darkening their surroundings, and the night breeze had grown colder, Suho was completely absorbed in Taeyun’s story. Taeyun smiled faintly and took off his outer jacket to cover Suho’s legs.
Muttering that pregnant bodies need to stay warm, Suho absently smoothed the jacket Taeyun had covered him with. The jacket, still holding Taeyun’s warmth, was warming Suho’s legs.
“We did various tests, and I received the results today. It’s an incomplete imprint.”
While Taeyun dropped the word “imprint” as if talking about someone else, Suho couldn’t simply gloss over it. Knowing that imprinting doesn’t happen easily, he didn’t even know when it had occurred.
“Isn’t that bad?”
“Well… Since imprinting follows the direction the heart flows first, it’s not bad, but… Honestly, I was worried about when to tell you, Senior.”
“Why?”
“I hesitated because I was afraid you might think I would oppress you just because I imprinted, like your parents.”
“Ah…”
This was a consideration from Taeyun that Suho hadn’t thought of at all. Of course, he had seen his parents living unhappy lives due to imprinting, but when Taeyun said he had imprinted, Suho hadn’t thought about the potential unhappiness it could bring.
“If you’re anxious, we can break it right away. Since it’s an incomplete imprint, they say it will naturally disappear if we spend enough time apart.”
“Then it would be good to break it.”
Suho showed his willingness to endure not seeing Taeyun while the imprint dissolved. After that, he thought it might be good to meet again and talk later, but Taeyun’s hand, stretching out between them, cut off Suho’s thoughts like scissors.
Taeyun waved his hand in front of Suho to make him look, then shook his head firmly, as if he had read Suho’s mind.
“I’m sorry, but I have no intention of separating from you, Senior. I won’t break the imprint, so know that.”
“You…”
“Don’t think it’s strange. It’s just that my current feelings for you have created this form of imprint. I liked and wanted you entirely of my own will.”
Taeyun stated firmly, not letting Suho say anything else.
“It’s not possessiveness or imprinting, I want you. My heart only likes you, Suho.”
How did the conversation end up like this? Suho tried belatedly to come to his senses, but his mind, already enchanted by Taeyun, kept scattering.
When he was about to tell him about the pregnancy, he hadn’t thought about any of this at all. No, even if there was a very slim chance that Taeyun would be happy to hear about his pregnancy, the idea that he had imprinted on him was beyond imagination.
The warmth that had covered his legs was gradually rising to warm Suho’s entire body. Among that, his heart, which had become especially hot, caused Suho’s face to glow faintly.
“Come with me.”
Taeyun left a tickling whisper, as if determined not to let go of Suho until the end.
“What’s your answer?”
Of course, Suho liked Taeyun. He had filled the emptiness in his heart completely, and honestly, if Taeyun had pushed him away saying he disliked him, Suho would have felt an indescribable emptiness.
However, there was something holding him back from accepting Taeyun as is.
“Earlier… you said…”
“What?”
“That there’s a way.”
At Suho’s enigmatic words, Taeyun racked his brains trying to figure out what he meant. Then, as if he had quickly recalled, he held up his index finger as if to guess.
“Michon?”
“What’s that way? Can you help my father too?”
“Can you explain in more detail?”
Taeyun responded in an especially bright voice, perhaps happy that Suho was relying on him.
“I want to keep meeting my omega father. Father said he doesn’t dislike me, but I’m a bit worried about what comes next. It’s too much for me alone.”
“So you want to bring your omega father away from President Jeong Sehun, right?”
Suho nodded at the question asking if that was correct. He felt guilty about leaving his father behind, but if Taeyun could help, if that was possible, he wouldn’t ask for anything more.
The alpha father who had seemed like an insurmountable mountain to him, Taeyun had instead set a trap and waited for. Although the result wasn’t good, Suho felt hopeful that maybe Taeyun could do something.
“I want to save my omega father from my alpha father.”
A resentful expression came over Suho’s face as he spoke of Jeong Sehun. He really was a detestable person to the very end.
“That’s not difficult. Rather…”
Taeyun’s eyes gleamed as if excited. Until now, he had worried about Suho finding out whatever he was up to, but for the first time, he felt acknowledged. Since Suho had reached out asking for help, it would be fine to go all out.
“It will lead to a more interesting result.”

He didn’t know when he had fallen asleep. Slowly waking to a soft vibration, Suho smiled involuntarily at the pheromones he sensed before opening his eyes.
Feeling Taeyun beside him, Suho relaxed and leaned back in his seat. From the very faint but constant mechanical sound, he knew they were in a car. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw lights from cars forming a path. Suho stared blankly at the beautiful night scenery for a while.
“It’s pretty, isn’t it?”
Taeyun’s gaze flickered briefly to Suho as he drove. A smile played in Taeyun’s eyes, as if he could tell how Suho felt just from his reflection in the window.
“I guess this is why people go for night drives.”
“I often come out at night.”
Taeyun hummed softly, saying he could accommodate that anytime. Taeyun’s consistently good mood was clearly reaching Suho as well.
“What are you so happy about?”
“Meeting you again is good, your pregnancy confession is good, and also…”
“Being able to do things your way is good too, right?”
“It would be a lie to say otherwise.”
Who wouldn’t like it when their lover gave them free rein to do anything? Though he didn’t know what methods Taeyun would use, Suho thought positively. As long as he could see his omega father again, nothing else mattered.
“But where are we going?”
The way to both their homes was near the university anyway. But as the car kept driving without stopping, Suho looked around and asked.
“Someone wants to see you.”
“Me? Who? Secretary Lee?”
Suho pointed at himself with wide eyes. It was already close to midnight. The range of people to meet at this hour was clearly narrow, but Suho couldn’t grasp who Taeyun was talking about.
“We’ll stop by briefly to ease your worries too. Is that okay?”
If it’s brief. Well, Taeyun must have been shocked thinking he had disappeared this time, so he might have asked someone for help. If that was the case, Suho could apologize for the inconvenience, even to someone he didn’t know. Suho quickly erased his doubts.
No, he shouldn’t have erased them. He had thought too carelessly.
From the moment Taeyun said they had arrived and told him to get out, Suho’s limbs were gradually stiffening. A residential area with high walls. The quiet alley with no passing cars didn’t even have the usual convenience stores or cafes. Getting out in a place with only houses, Suho was vaguely getting a sense of who Taeyun wanted to meet.
But surely not at this hour…
“Taeyun. Wait a moment…”
As soon as he confirmed Suho had gotten out, Taeyun pressed the doorbell and approached quickly. It was a movement as if to support Suho in case he found it difficult. Suho grabbed Taeyun’s hand as if to say that wasn’t it.
“Is this possibly…”
The words “your house” couldn’t quite make it out. As Suho’s words trailed off, Taeyun’s smile brightened.
“It’s my family home.”
Taeyun answered lightly and walked towards the gate holding Suho’s hand. Although the sound of the door opening was heard as soon as the doorbell rang, Suho couldn’t readily follow Taeyun.
“I mean… isn’t it rude to come here at this hour?”
“I was planning to come when it got light because I thought you’d be uncomfortable, but my family kept insisting we come quickly.”
Taeyun spoke as if he had no choice and led Suho.
“Even so…”
“Of course, I was thinking of introducing you if you were okay with it, but that changed. You have too many unnecessary thoughts to wait like that.”
Why are you worrying about whether my family will like you or not? At Taeyun’s complaint, Suho could no longer hold him back and was led along as if entranced.
The thought of whether this was right completely flew away as his mind turned blank.
