Chapter 7: The Truth of the Storage Room!
The heavy stench of blood mixed with decay permeated the air.
Unlike the other rooms, which were barely habitable, this one wouldn’t even be suitable for livestock. Dried blood stained the wooden floor, and in the corners, clumps of unidentifiable hair and flesh were piled haphazardly. A massive cutting machine stood in the center of the room, its sharp blades smeared with blood. A blood-soaked dress hung on the wall.
Fighting the urge to vomit, Dong Jianren slowly approached the cutting machine and soon discovered something strange hidden behind it – a bloodstained burlap sack, only the size of a human head, tucked behind the machine.
Countless scenarios flashed through Dong Jianren’s mind. Reason told him not to open the sack, but curiosity drove him to slowly untie it.
Lifting a corner of the sack, he saw a baby’s floral dress. Braving the fear in his heart, Dong Jianren continued to open it further.
“Ugh!”
With just a glance, Dong Jianren couldn’t hold back anymore and knelt down, retching. Inside the baby dress was a highly decomposed dog’s head, maggots writhing on it. It had clearly been there for a long time.
Looking back at the hair in the corner, Dong Jianren realized it wasn’t human hair but the fur of this slaughtered wolfhound.
Unable to bear the sight of this room that resembled a slaughterhouse any longer, Dong Jianren immediately left. He then went to the last room at the end of the second floor. After observing that there was no movement inside, he put his hand on the doorknob and slowly turned it.

The sound of a lock disengaging suddenly rang out, followed by the appearance of a pale, bloodless face reflected in the window beside the door.
“Shit!”
This time, Dong Jianren saw it clearly. This bloodless face was identical to the woman in the bloodstained photo he had seen downstairs.
He saw her mouth opening and closing, seemingly speaking to him, but no sound came out. Looking closer, he realized that this woman’s tongue had been cut out. Her wide-open mouth revealed only a dark void.
Just then, footsteps sounded from downstairs. Dong Jianren didn’t dare to stay any longer and hurried back to the nursery.
Hiding by the door, he soon heard the footsteps pass by his room, followed by the sound of a lock being opened and a few muffled groans. Then, silence fell once more.
Dong Jianren was now certain that both the woman with the severed tongue and the footsteps he had just heard belonged to humans. As long as they were human, he had a chance to fight back.
Having been tormented all night, Dong Jianren saw that it was almost five o’clock and knew he had to hurry up and complete the first task.
Gently opening the door, Dong Jianren found the hallway outside empty, with only muffled sounds occasionally coming from the end of the corridor.
Seizing the opportunity, Dong Jianren rushed towards the storage room on the first floor.
Upon reaching the storage room, he pushed the door open. The inside was unexpectedly bright, and the room was filled with various miscellaneous items.
His first main mission was to find the truth of the storage room. Since it was about “finding,” it meant the truth must be hidden somewhere within this storage room.
So Dong Jianren started rummaging around, but after a while, he found nothing. Just then, a large freezer appeared before him, covered by a huge blanket.
Slowly pulling the blanket away, Dong Jianren was surprised to find that the freezer was still running, its green light blinking. Why would a functioning freezer be placed in a storage room full of miscellaneous items? If it needed to be used, wouldn’t it be more convenient to put it outside?
Just as he was about to open the freezer, a familiar sound of footsteps came from outside. Without hesitation, Dong Jianren quickly covered the freezer again.
Looking around, he noticed a curtain right across from the freezer and quickly hid behind it.
Creak!
The storage room door opened, and a man in a neat suit walked straight to the freezer.
Suddenly, the man spoke.
“Yaoyao, I’ve come to see you again. Your crazy sister is so disobedient! But don’t worry, as your brother-in-law, I’ll take good care of her.”
As he spoke, the man removed the blanket covering the freezer and slowly lifted the lid. He knelt down on one knee in front of the freezer, reaching out to caress the inside.
“I miss you so much!”
A man’s voice, as soft as if it could melt a refrigerator, sounded.
Through the gap in the curtains, Dong Jianren watched the man’s actions with a face full of confusion.
At this moment, Dong Jianren’s pupils suddenly constricted, and he almost failed to suppress a shout. He saw the man in the suit slowly lift out a head with long, scattered hair from the refrigerator below and then kiss it tenderly.
Dong Jianren felt as if a sea of dumplings was churning in his stomach, almost making him vomit.
Following the long hair that scattered from the head, a pair of eyes full of grievance looked straight at him.
At that moment, Dong Jianren felt as if a fierce beast was choking his neck, and if it weren’t for the circumstances, he would have wanted to change his pants.
The man in the suit, completely unaware of this deep affectionate embrace, even stretched out a hand to gently tap the tip of the head’s nose.
“Silly girl, are you still blaming your brother for this? I did all of this for your good! Moreover, looking at your face, even though your sister killed my child, I didn’t do anything to her.”
After the man’s soliloquy, he put the head back into the refrigerator.
Dong Jianren thought that after doing all of this, the man in the suit would leave, but something even more nauseating happened. He saw the man continuously take out body parts from the freezer and passionately kiss them.
Finally, he embraced a body part that was clearly a female torso. The man in the suit slowly moved his head closer to the abdomen of the torso. For a moment, Dong Jianren felt the man was filled with the radiance of fatherly love.
“Baby, Daddy misses you so much! It’s all Mom’s fault for being so stubborn and not letting Daddy see you. But you’re our most beloved baby, and I believe you’ll forgive me, right?”
The moment the man in the suit took out the female torso, a voice echoed in his mind.

Just then, the sound of shattering glass came from the second floor, and the expression of the man in the suit suddenly turned cold.
Facing the body part, the man in the suit said without a trace of emotion, “Yaoyao, your sister is making a fuss again. I’ll go take care of her! You wait here for me! I’ll come back to you later!”
The man in the suit methodically closed the freezer, covered it with the blanket again, and then strode out of the storage room.
Seeing the man in the suit leave, Dong Jianren could no longer control his weakened legs and fell out from behind the curtain.
Waves of nausea surged in his stomach, but Dong Jianren didn’t dare to stay in the storage room any longer. He had clearly heard the man in the suit say he would be back soon.
Forcing himself not to look in the direction of the freezer, Dong Jianren stumbled out of the storage room.
Dong Jianren wanted to escape the villa, but Main Quest 2 clearly stated that he had to stay in the villa until 8 o’clock the next morning, and there were still two hours until 8 o’clock.
There was absolutely no place for him to hide in the rooms on the first floor. Having no choice, Dong Jianren could only carefully go up to the second floor again. He heard even louder sobbing and violent banging from the end of the hallway.
Dong Jianren didn’t dare to go over there. The man in the suit was even bigger than the cloth bear on the first floor. With his own skinny frame, going over there would be like offering himself up as food!
So, he could only hide in the baby’s room again. As soon as he entered the baby’s room, Dong Jianren went straight to the compartment under the closet. It took him a lot of effort to cover himself with the moldy blanket again without moving the cabinet board above his head.
Just as Dong Jianren was about to call the police with his phone, he suddenly sensed something was wrong. He felt around his waist and realized his broken utility knife had fallen off at some point.
What happened next confirmed his worst fears. After returning to the storage room, the man in the suit discovered the kitchen knife left on the floor and the footprints behind the curtain. Without hesitation, he picked up a giant axe covered in blood from the storage room.
The man in the suit’s voice echoed throughout the villa, “I didn’t expect a little mouse to sneak into my house! Get out here right now!”
Then there was the sound of an axe hacking at a door downstairs. Dong Jianren was so scared that he didn’t dare to make a sound.
At this moment, Dong Jianren thought of something. In a panic, he opened the live stream again and saw the screen still filled with chaotic bullet comments.
Five-Star General MacArthur: “Whoa, did I just see that right? Was that a real human head?”
Elderly Young Pioneer: “666, full marks for the streamer’s props!”
Two-Faced Black Tiger Pure Love Boiling Sheep: “The back of the man in the suit is so manly! Love it!”
Crispy Leather Swallow: “The person above is a pervert! Reported!”
Jiangnan Leather Factory Boss Yellow Crane: “Streamer, are you selling wallets? The kind that even a perverted man in a suit wouldn’t steal!”
Jiangnan Leather Factory Boss Yellow Crane’s Sister-in-Law: “Brother-in-law, you ran off and left me behind! Take me with you.”
…
Ignoring the bullet comments, Dong Jianren kept typing on the public screen, “Call the police quickly! I’m at Lakeside Villa 12. Help!”
Seeing Dong Jianren’s bullet comments, there were still some comments below mocking the streamer.
As he sent the bullet comment again:
I’m a Cavalryman, Not an Infantryman: “I feel something’s not right. It seems like the streamer really encountered a perverted killer.”
Essential Oil Back Rub Eighty-One: “Call the police quickly! I saw the hair on that person’s head. It’s very realistic, definitely not fake.”
Before Dong Jianren could happily reply to these heartwarming comments, the sound of a door breaking echoed outside the closet, scaring him into quickly closing his phone, afraid that any light would leak through the cabinet boards.
