I've Been Possessed, But What If I Get Pregnant First? - C47
#47
As questions arose one by one, I realized I hadn’t recalled my original name even once since possessing Cha Yuwon’s body.
“…What did I look like?”
And gradually, my original face was being forgotten. As if someone was intentionally erasing my original “self” one by one, all forms surrounding the original “me” were disappearing bit by bit. Everything was confusing in a situation I had never experienced before. Nothing came to mind, as if someone had spilled black paint in my head.
Just as drawing a picture on a black background only makes it blacker, the more I tried to recall memories from my original world, the more everything began to vanish one by one. I fumbled through the past with a blank face, but in the end, I couldn’t recollect anything.
Just a moment ago, I vividly remembered what company I worked at and what my coworkers looked like, but now the fact that I couldn’t think of anything was frightening. I looked at my face, no, Cha Yuwon’s face in the frozen black screen. That made me even less able to recall my real “face”.
“It’s, it’s just because I’m a bit dizzy for a moment… It’s okay, it’ll be fine.”
I tightly grasped my trembling hands and chewed on my lower lip. Even amidst that, I was worried my startled heart would be conveyed to the baby, so I carefully rubbed my lower abdomen.
“If I rest for a bit, I’ll remember again. Let’s not worry too much.”
I tried hard to soothe my anxious heart, saying it was because all sorts of things had rushed at me at once recently.

A black car squeezed through the roads congested with rush hour traffic.
Screech.
The sound of the rear wheels rubbing against the asphalt and the black sedan stopped. Taebeom, dressed in a black suit and wearing black dress shoes, got out of the car. The men closely followed behind Taebeom, who led the way with an expressionless face.
“Excuse me.”
“The clinic is closed for today!”
It was already after evening appointments had finished. The nurse spoke.
“Please come back tomorrow- oh my.”
The nurse, who had been hurriedly organizing charts, dropped the chart in her hand upon seeing the men filling up the hospital interior. The nurse, whose eyes met Taebeom’s as he appeared among the densely lined men, held her breath. It felt like anyone could feel the superior alpha man’s discomfort through their skin. The nurse, with a tense face, clasped her trembling hands together.
“Is Ms. Junghee Han inside?”
Junseok, standing behind Taebeom, smiled gently as if telling the half-frozen nurse not to be too scared and asked.
“Why our director…?”
Despite Junseok’s efforts, the nurse still trembled with a tense face. But even so, she asked the reason out of concern for the director.
“I have something to ask about patient Cha Yuwon.”
“I can’t freely disclose a patient’s personal medical records-“
The nurse mustered her last courage to say she couldn’t do that, but Taebeom turned his head as if he had wasted time and headed to the exam room. Taebeom opened the door and entered without knocking, coldly looking down at Junghee who looked up at him as if she had expected it.
“I’m here to check patient Cha Yuwon’s medical records. I ask for your cooperation.”
Junseok, who followed inside, bowed his head as if seeking consent from Junghee, with whom he had already met a few times.
“I must have told you that would be difficult. Unless the patient himself agrees.”
“Is that why you handed that thing to Cha Yuwon?”
Taebeom asked as he sat in the chair across from Junghee. Taebeom’s eyes were icy as he clicked his lighter with a face darkened as if tired, out of habit.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Taebeom smirked, raising the corner of his mouth, and rubbed the name plate that read “Junghee Han”.
“Ms. Junghee Han.”
“……”
“I didn’t come here to play word games with you.”
“……”
“It’d be best for you to answer while I’m asking nicely.”
Taebeom set the lighter down on the desk with a thud and glared at Junghee with menacing eyes.
“Cha Yuwon, is he pregnant?”
At Taebeom’s words, the doctor’s eyes flinched for a moment. As if that expression alone was enough, Taebeom ran his hand through his hair.
“How far along is he?”
“Information about an individual patient is-“
“Yuwon has disappeared.”
“…Pardon?”
The air surrounding Taebeom, which had been on the brink of intimidating the doctor with a menacing face, settled calmly.
“And this came from Yuwon’s room.”
Taebeom handed the doctor the tattered guide pieced together from shredded paper scraps. The paper was a mess to the point the letters were unrecognizable. Even amidst that, Yuwon’s will to have the baby could be glimpsed from the meticulously torn paper.
“The child in Cha Yuwon’s belly might be mine. How many weeks along is he?”
“…I can’t tell you-”
Junghee bit her lower lip with a hesitant face, and Taebeom’s fist, clenched with enough force to make the veins pop out, came into view. Gone was the forceful attitude from the beginning, and the emotions stemming from worrying about Yuwon made Taebeom desperate. Junghee, meeting Taebeom’s earnest eyes, let out a short sigh as if done pondering, then slowly opened her mouth.
“Mr. Cha Yuwon is…… over 8 weeks pregnant.”
In the end, the answer came from Junghee’s mouth. Taebeom gritted his teeth. 8 weeks pregnant. That meant the baby in Yuwon’s belly was his child, no one else’s. A myriad of emotions crossed Taebeom’s face as he realized that.
“Hyung-nim.”
Taebeom came to his senses at the sound of someone calling him from behind, got up from his seat, and bowed his head towards Junghee.
“Thank you. I’ll see you again next time.”
Taebeom left the hospital and headed to the helicopter boarding area near the hospital.
“What about Cha Yuwon?”
“He’s sleeping now.”
“What? Where?”
“He ate one apple flavor waffle, one strawberry flavor waffle, and an additional steamed corn on the cob inside the train and just fell asleep.”
Junseok handed Taebeom a photo with an embarrassed face. When Taebeom turned his head to look at the screen, he saw Yuwon sleeping with his mouth slightly open, holding a half-eaten corn.
“He sleeps well after making people fret.”
“Well… I suppose you get sleepy when pregnant. Plus, he must be tired from running away since morning- ahem.”
Junseok closed his mouth tight, reading Taebeom’s expression. But he soon spoke to Taebeom in a brightened voice.
“By the way, congratulations hyung-nim.”
Taebeom, who had been looking at Yuwon’s photo with a troubled face, raised the corner of his mouth at Junseok’s words.
“If the baby takes after the sister-in-law, it’ll be such a cute niece or nephew.”
Junseok smiled contentedly, as if he was more excited, and was busy saying he would personally prepare the first shoes.
“Tell the guys to just watch from afar.”
“Even if they get close, I think the sister-in-law won’t notice, but understood.”
Taebeom quietly closed his mouth at Junseok’s words. Yuwon really had no clue, so it seemed more than likely.
“Anyway, if something comes up where he needs help, tell them to help as naturally as possible.”
“Yes, don’t worry too much. The guys really like the sister-in-law too-“
“Who, likes him?”
Taebeom’s face, which had brightened after learning Yuwon was carrying his child, suddenly froze icily.
“Pardon? That’s, uh that’s not it-“
“Which bastard is it?”
“Don’t misunderstand! I meant they like him as a f- fan. Doesn’t the sister-in-law feel sort of like a celebrity to us!”
Junseok blurted out an excuse in a fluster. On top of that, the day Yuwon first entered the house, Junseok and a few others who lived in the main residence were kicked out to the annex. Plus, there was a ban on approaching within 100 meters of the main residence. The restaurant, swimming pool, and movie theater in the main residence were also off-limits.
The annex had the same facilities, so that wasn’t a shame, but all possibilities of seeing Yuwon were thoroughly cut off, so everyone was curious about Yuwon who had captured Taebeom.
“You don’t let us enter the main residence either. At most, we can only see the sister-in-law from afar when he goes out.”
“How can I trust alpha bastards and let them inside my house. And why are you looking at Cha Yuwon in the first place.”
Taebeom furrowed his brow and his eyes flashed.
“…Because he’s cute. Seeing the sister-in-law after only looking at ignorant muscleheads all the time, how much… Anyway, watching the sister-in-law is our only joy.”
It wasn’t that they dared to have any other feelings for the sister-in-law. They just wanted to watch his cute and soft face a bit more, even if they could only look from afar. Junseok appealed on behalf of the subordinate employees, but Taebeom was adamant.
“Enough. Send the guys who said they like him overseas for the time being.”
“What? H- Hyung-nim?”
Junseok urgently requested reconsideration, but Taebeom completely ignored him. The nerve of them.

“The weather is great~”
I felt a bit better as the refreshing air greeted me when I went outside, even though my head was hazy. It was already dark with the sun set, but to me, it was the blue sky itself.
“I’m telling you, strawberry milk flavor is the best.”
As I rubbed the lollipop I bought from a nearby convenience store on my tongue, the sweet strawberry milk flavor melted on my tongue. The sweet candy made my mood even better. Humming a tune, I headed to the nearby bus stop and found routes I had never seen before.
“Hmm… Should I go to the nearby market first…?”
I had no cell phone or clothes, so I thought I should buy necessities from the market first. I double-checked Central Market, about 3 stops away from Gangneung Station, with my finger and sat on the chair.
I checked the bus arrival time in 15 minutes and turned my head, right then. A man with a somewhat familiar face sat next to me.
