I've Been Possessed, But What If I Get Pregnant First? - C112
#112
All of Woosung alpha’s senses were warning him to go to Yuwon. Even if nothing had happened to Yuwon, he felt he could only be at ease if he saw his face.
The doctor had cautiously recommended a separation anxiety test. However, Taebeom himself knew best that it stemmed from the fear of Yuwon drifting away from him again, so no particular test was necessary. The answer lay with Yuwon.
Could this incident be an extension of that? Taebeom increased his speed, hoping it was just that. After several traffic lights, Taebeom arrived home and asked his subordinates about Yuwon’s whereabouts.
“He went to the greenhouse about 30 minutes ago.”
Yuwon usually found solace there when Taebeom wasn’t around. Taebeom naturally walked along the path Yuwon frequently used.
“Nothing unusual happened?”
“No, but he wanted to be alone, so we gave him the remote control.”
Taebeom nodded at the mention of the remote control. It was designed to send Yuwon’s location and an alarm to all designated people with just one button press in case of emergency. Somewhat relieved, Taebeom asked out of concern for Yuwon, who seemed to be withering day by day.
“How was he today?”
“The same. Still eating little, not sleeping well… Oh, but he’s been spending more time in the glass garden. It seems he’s sleeping a bit too.”
The man hastily added as he saw Taebeom’s face darkening. Taebeom turned his head towards the distant glass garden. It was the only space in the house where Yuwon was given freedom. He thought that only by allowing this much freedom could Yuwon breathe.
In reality, the current situation was tantamount to imprisoning Yuwon, just without physically restraining him. Though he knew this himself, there was no other way.
“Hah… Alright, stand by here.”
“Yes, understood.”
Arriving at the greenhouse, Taebeom addressed the men who had followed him and those guarding the door.
As he opened the door and entered, the greenhouse full of flower scents revealed itself amidst the soft classical music, perhaps played by Yuwon.
Seeing the sunflowers planted for Yuwon, Taebeom’s tightly set lips unconsciously relaxed. He had planted them himself, hoping Yuwon would think of him when he saw them. It was a bit childish, but he wanted to show Yuwon his feelings even in this way.
“Ugh.”
Taebeom turned his head at the faint sound of a suppressed groan. It was a sound that shouldn’t be coming from the greenhouse where Yuwon was supposed to be alone. It wasn’t a sound that should be heard. But what if it had come from Yuwon’s mouth? At the thought that it could be possible, Taebeom’s expression hardened. His eyes quickened in search of Yuwon.
With urgent steps, Taebeom headed towards the tea table and found an empty chair where Yuwon had presumably been sitting.
“Yuwon.”
Taebeom’s voice calling for Yuwon was enveloped in anxiety. There were two teacups. This meant someone had been with Yuwon. He hadn’t heard from anyone that Yuwon had been with someone else. Moreover, Yuwon had disappeared. No matter how much he called, there was no response from Yuwon.
Had Yuwon run away? If so, who had helped him escape? If not that, then what…
Just as Taebeom was gritting his teeth and about to go outside.
“Ugh!”
At another groan, Taebeom’s eyes sharpened. He turned his gaze to where the sound had come from and, without a moment’s hesitation, glared at a large protruding tree.
Breaking off a large branch with one hand, Yuwon’s figure was revealed. Taebeom’s eyes bloodshot as he discovered Yuwon bound with ropes and gagged.
Who could have done this in his own house? The instinctive bloodlust that rose was momentary; Taebeom’s reason returned with the thought that he needed to reassure Yuwon first.
Taebeom first removed the tape covering Yuwon’s mouth and lifted him into his arms.
“Yuwon, are you hurt any-“
“Ta-Taebeom, no, it’s dangerous… Hurry, go, hic, hurry…”
Yuwon pushed Taebeom away urgently, sobbing. He was terrified, like someone being chased. His hands, pushing Taebeom away while constantly looking back, trembled finely.
As Taebeom was trying to calm Yuwon down first while holding him, he turned his head at the sound of breaking branches.
“Kim Sangchul.”
Taebeom’s ice-cold voice echoed inside the greenhouse. However, Sangchul just looked down at Taebeom holding Yuwon with a sinister smile. Sangchul appeared very shabby, as if he had taken the full brunt of time while living in poverty and on the run.
“Kim Sangchul. What have you done to Yuwon again?”
“Haha… What are you talking about? I haven’t even started yet.”
Sangchul had been waiting for this moment. Just for mishandling one omega, his family had been ruined, and he had become a fugitive forever.
“It’s nice to see you. It’s been 3 years, right?”
“You’re struggling in vain to die.”
“The one who’s going to die now is you. Or…”
Sangchul twisted one corner of his mouth in a smile and turned the gun he had aimed at Taebeom towards Yuwon.
“Cha Yuwon?”
Taebeom’s eyes, which hadn’t flinched when the gun was pointed at him, were greatly shaken.
“Yeah. This is exactly the face I was expecting.”
Sangchul licked his lips and burst into laughter with a face full of joy. He looked down at Yuwon’s belly, clearly that of a pregnant person, and sneered.
“It was hard waiting for the brat in Cha Yuwon’s belly to grow all this time.”
“Kim Sangchul.”
Unable to just listen anymore, Taebeom furrowed his brow and approached Sangchul. Sangchul shouted spasmodically.
“Don’t come closer! Fuck, should I put a hole in that head right now? Huh? Want to try?”
Taebeom stopped in his tracks, seeing Sangchul’s abnormally flickering eyes. The gun was still pointed at Yuwon. He didn’t know what crazy thing Sangchul might do.
Seeing Taebeom stop at his words, Sangchul straightened the gun with a satisfied look.
From what he had observed recently, their relationship didn’t seem very good, but seeing this, it seemed Cha Yuwon’s feelings had cooled one-sidedly. But well, does it matter? After all, what’s precious to both of them is right there.
Sangchul’s eyes moved to Yuwon’s belly as the gun barrel gradually lowered. Yuwon, instinctively sensing this, cradled his belly protectively.
“Why, you were trying to run away from Kwon Taebeom anyway. But you want to have this bastard’s child?”
“D-Don’t.”
“I’m trying to help you. I’m helping you get away from this bastard.”
“No! Don’t. Don’t, Kim Sangchul!”
It was clear that under the pretext of helping him, Sangchul was trying to harm the child. In the end, Kim Sangchul wanted revenge on both Yuwon himself and Kwon Taebeom.
“Rather, shoot me… Shoot me.”
Yuwon spoke boldly to Kim Sangchul with wide eyes. As long as the baby was okay, it didn’t matter. It was fine as long as he didn’t shoot at the belly. If they could go to the hospital right away, Ho-ppang wouldn’t be badly hurt. As for himself… he had already tried to die once, and he could endure anything as long as the child and Kwon Taebeom were okay.
“Cha Yuwon! Don’t say such nonsense.”
“I’m okay. Anyway, I was going to d-die-“
“Cha Yuwon!”
Finally, Taebeom shouted at Yuwon. His voice, sounding both angry and pleading, reached Yuwon and then scattered into the air.
Taebeom opened his mouth towards Sangchul, who was humming with an amused face, looking back and forth between him and Yuwon.
“Talk to me. Let Yuwon go now.”
“Why should I?”
“Kim Sangchul. You must have something you want.”
“Ha, you think I want anything at this point? Oh, there is something I want. For you to suffer until you die.”
All this time, he had been shunned by his family and abandoned his comfortable life, becoming a fugitive overnight. All because of Cha Yuwon, that wretched bastard.
From the beginning, he had a preference for those who looked pretty and docile. Not knowing this, Yuwon had gone to another man, which annoyed him, so he tried to help Yuwon come to his senses, and that changed his life.
While fleeing from the people Kwon Taebeom sent, he had laundered his identity with the help of his mother, who couldn’t bring herself to abandon him. But that was the end of it.
With a status of not even having graduated high school, the jobs he could do were very limited. When he first became a fugitive, he only dreamed of the day he would get revenge on the two, but even that was forgotten as he became busy just living day to day.
Three years after he started living with his new identity as Lee Honggu, he accidentally discovered Cha Yuwon and Kwon Taebeom on the street. Seeing Cha Yuwon with a swollen belly, presumably pregnant, and Kwon Taebeom standing guard beside him, happily walking down the street, the forgotten anger welled up. So for several months, he had been disguising himself as a gardener, coming and going from this house, waiting for the day of revenge.
Seeing Cha Yuwon’s face full of fear upon seeing him, and Kwon Taebeom’s face looking as if he would die of worry for Cha Yuwon, he felt compensated for the past years. It was thrilling, like electricity flowing through his veins.
“Well then, farewell.”
