Is It Forbidden to Bully the Heroine of the Novel? - Chapter 18
Chapter 18
Song Muyun was truly exhausted. Nestled in Jiang Yao’s embrace, she soon fell into a deep sleep. Her eyes closed softly, perhaps because she felt warm; her cheeks were flushed. Jiang Yao didn’t fall asleep, she moved away a little and poked at Song Muyun’s face. It was soft and smooth, such a pleasant feeling!
“Muyun?”
“Miss Song?”
She called twice, but received no answer. The person in her arms was already fast asleep.
Jiang Yao sighed with relief. Gently, she withdrew from the embrace, leaving Song Muyun alone under the covers. She carefully arranged the bedding around her until she looked cocooned, then quietly turned and left.
At this time, Murong Qing should be on his way to his duty post. He was currently dealing with matters at the Ministry of Officials and would pass through a deserted alley on his way.
To ensure her safety, Jiang Yao put on her night clothes, even wrapping her chest. She was tall to begin with, and now only her piercing eyes were visible, making it difficult for others to recognise her as a woman.
And then… she sneaked into the alley and planned an unexpected attack on Murong Qing.
As an imperial prince, Murong Qing naturally had personal guards, but he was so confident in his status that no one dared to be disrespectful. Therefore, he only had one guard. Wasn’t it easy to take him down?
Jiang Yao targeted the areas of Murong Qing’s body where there were no witnesses. Although he cursed angrily on the ground, trying to take advantage of his status, she paid no attention. Silently and relentlessly, she continued to beat him until he couldn’t scream anymore, only moaning in pain. Feeling somewhat relieved, she finally landed a hard kick to his buttocks, followed by a chopping blow to his shoulder, successfully rendering him unconscious before stealthily leaving.
She hurried back to the Moon Pavilion, changing back into her daytime clothes.
The people at the Moon Pavilion were terrible at their jobs, and had placed Song Muyun’s courtyard so far away that it was a pain to reach.
Before entering, Jiang Yao glanced at the sky; it hadn’t even been half an hour since she left, so Song Muyun should still be asleep.
With a slight creak, Jiang Yao carefully pushed open the wooden door, trying to make as little noise as possible. As she stepped inside, her eyes fell on the figure sitting blankly on the wooden bed.
Jiang Yao stopped her movements for a moment. Earlier, she had been sneaking around, thinking about going back unnoticed, but now she had to act as if nothing was wrong. So she stood up awkwardly, cleared her throat quietly, walked in, closed the door behind her and walked over to the bed.
Song Muyun’s gaze had been on her the whole time, watching her close the door and approach the bed without saying a word, just staring at her dazedly.
Kind of adorable, Jiang Yao thought, feeling a little itchy but hesitant to act. She just asked, “Why are you awake?”
Song Muyun had obviously just woken up. Her eyes still held a dazed mist, and upon hearing Jiang Yao’s question, she tilted her head slightly and obediently replied, “I woke up because I felt a little cold.”
Jiang Yao looked at her thin blanket; it was indeed cold.
She took off her outer clothing, slipped into the blanket, and casually pulled Song Muyun into a hug as they lay down together. Her voice was unusually soft as she said, “You won’t feel cold if I hold you. Let’s sleep a little longer.”
Song Muyun hadn’t slept enough; she just felt a bit cold. When she noticed that the person beside her was gone, she suddenly became alert again. But now, with the warm body hugging her, she didn’t think too much and fell back asleep easily.
Jiang Yao stroked Song Muyun’s slender waist with a gentle rhythm, stroking her until she too fell asleep.
When she awoke, the day was already warm, probably nearing midday.
When Jiang Yao opened her eyes, she felt pain all over her body and involuntarily let out a soft moan.
This startled the person in her arms.
Song Muyun had actually been awake for a while, afraid of disturbing Jiang Yao, so she had obediently lay in her embrace without moving until Jiang Yao also woke up and let out a painful sound.
The person in her arms raised a pair of delicate eyebrows and looked somewhat nervous. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”
Jiang Yao wore a pained expression. Where wasn’t she uncomfortable?
Her whole body was uncomfortable!
The bed was so hard. Why didn’t they pad it with cotton? She couldn’t sleep properly and it hurt.
Jiang Yao struggled to sit up, but she forgot that she was still holding Song Muyun and accidentally pulled her with her when she sat up.
At that moment, the two of them in such an intimate position looked like a couple waking up together.
Song Muyun, lifted in someone’s arms, had her face against the soft chest, her originally snow-white ears blushing again, embarrassed to the extreme.
Jiang Yao didn’t realise that there was anything wrong with this posture, but she did notice it. But she didn’t say anything. Since they were both guests of the Moon Pavilion, a little closeness wouldn’t hurt, would it?
“This bed is too hard, it hurts my back.”
Jiang Yao frowned and complained quietly.
Song Muyun’s slender, snow-white fingers immediately landed on her waist, her voice carrying an inexplicable apology, “Let me massage you. I’m sorry, I didn’t think it through.”
It was the first time she had slept on such a hard wooden bed and woke up with pain all over her body, but she hadn’t thought about Jiang Yao.
Feeling a little guilty, Song Muyun gently massaged Jiang Yao’s sore waist.
Her fingers were soft, the pressure extremely comforting. Jiang Yao could sense her remorse, so she inexplicably tightened her grip on Song Muyun’s hand, leaned against her shoulder and hugged her. “It’s okay, it’s not that painful. Just keep massaging, it feels really comfortable.”
She had practised martial arts since she was a young girl, often experiencing back pain and soreness. She had long gotten used to the feeling.
Song Muyun, on the other hand, blushed from the frequent closeness, but said quietly, “Then lie down and I’ll massage you properly.
She had learned a bit in order to make her mother more comfortable.
Jiang Yao obediently lay down with her back to Song Muyun, who was equally slender and strong, and exuded a certain flexibility.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Song Muyun gently massaged her, occasionally asking, “Does it hurt? Is the pressure too much? If it’s uncomfortable, just let me know…”
She seemed like a virtuous wife and mother.
Jiang Yao was so comfortable during the whole process that she only responded with soft murmurs. After enjoying it for a while, she turned around and lay down on the bed, pulling Song Muyun to lie down with her.
“It’s really nice to be with you.”
A kind of comfort that was hard to describe, completely different from being with someone else.
Song Muyun was only worried about her body, and even as they lay together, she didn’t forget to ask, “Does your body still hurt? Shall I continue to massage you?”
Jiang Yao shook her head. “It doesn’t hurt anymore. Let’s lie down for a while and then we’ll go eat. Are you hungry?”
While she asked this aloud, her hands had already gone to feel Song Muyun’s belly.
After pulling up the blanket that covered half of her face, Song Muyun’s voice seemed a little muffled and shy, “Everything’s fine, I’ll listen to Miss Jiang.”
Jiang Yao patted her lightly, a bit annoyed, “I told you to just call me Jiang Yao. Why are you still so formal?”
After spending the night together, Jiang Yao felt that they were now friends who could address each other by name.
Jiang Yao turned her head to look at Song Muyun until she tentatively called her name while tugging at the bed sheet. Then Jiang Yao was happy again.
