Is It Forbidden to Bully the Heroine of the Novel? - Chapter 16
Chapter 16
“Miss Jiang…”
Song Muyun called softly. Jiang Yao glared at her and asked, “Has the wound been treated?”
Her tone was a bit fierce, subtly hinting that if she dared to say it hadn’t been treated, she would be in trouble.
The weak little fairy felt intimidated by Jiang Yao’s fierceness and nodded hastily, her voice tinged with weakness, “It has been treated. It might be slightly cracked, but it’s nothing serious.”
How could it be nothing serious!
Jiang Yao glared at her again and urged, “Take off your clothes, let me see.”
She took out a bottle of medicine from her bag, feeling a bit worried, and asked her, “Did you call a doctor?”
Her face was pale.
When she heard the word ‘doctor’, Song Muyun’s body tensed slightly. After a moment, she pursed her lips and shook her head, “No, it’s just a minor injury. The medicine will be enough, there’s no need to bother the doctor.”
A woman’s virtue was important. Few would call a doctor for a simple skin injury, and even if they did, it would only be for medicine. Jiang Yao understood, but she still felt a surge of anger, not at Song Muyun, but at Murong Qing.
“Then take off your clothes and let me see.”
The snow-white inner robe had a faint trace of blood on it. Jiang Yao wouldn’t be reassured until she saw the injury.
Song Muyun’s cheeks turned slightly red. Nervously, she turned her head slightly and pinched her sleeve, “You, could you go first? I’ll take care of it myself.”
Even though they were both women, she felt embarrassed to undress in front of her.
Jiang Yao seemed confused. Her eyebrows and eyes showed signs of confusion, “Can’t you handle it with me here? We’re both women, what’s the problem with showing me?”
Song Muyun even restrained her breathing. Raised in a family of scholars, she had never exposed her body in front of anyone.
Today… Jiang Yao actually wanted to see her body.
“This…”
The little fairy furrowed her brow slightly, showing some hesitation. Jiang Yao found the spreading blood stain increasingly annoying and wished she could rip off her clothes, but she was afraid of causing further injury.
After some thought, Song Muyun finally made up her mind. Her pale lips tightened slightly as she nodded in obedience. She sat up and unbuttoned her clothes.
Her injuries were severe. Jiang Yao was angry but concerned. She approached her, supporting her to keep her from collapsing from exhaustion.
Unintentionally, she took the weak fairy into her arms and hugged the slender figure. Her arm encircled her back, lightly holding her waist.
As she removed her clothes, the sight of the countless whip marks on her back was horrifying. From top to bottom there was barely an inch of unmarked skin, most of it covered in bruises. It was horrifying.
Jiang Yao had never seen a woman with such serious injuries. Women were usually delicate, so the pain was even more unbearable. How could Murong Qing treat his beloved like this? How could Song Muyun bear this pain?
Song Muyun also looked down at the wound, which was a torn gash on her waist and abdomen. She had been standing at the door when Murong Qing had whipped her, causing her a lot of pain. But her only concern was that the hairpin she had given to Jiang Yao might be damaged.
Fortunately, the hairpin was well protected.
At this thought, Song Muyun’s lips curled slightly. Jiang Yao’s gaze was filled with concern and feigned ferocity. “Still smiling? With injuries like this, is that what you call taking care of yourself?”
Most of the wounds were only covered with a thin layer of powder, without even a bandage. No wonder they split open.
Jiang Yao frowned, “Do you have a clean cloth? I’ll apply some medicine and bandage them.”
The woman’s skin was as pale as jade. She was embarrassed to be half-naked now. She delicately held the blanket to cover herself up to her chest and said in a softer voice, “I, I don’t have any fine cloth here. Can I tear off a piece to use?”
She looked up, her gentle eyes holding a glimmer of trust and confidence in the person before her.
