If You Want Me - Episode 70
<Episode 70>
The pork he had been looking forward to, he didn’t know if he ate it through his mouth or nose because he was so uncomfortable.
How long had it been since he rejected the confession and now they were eating together…? Grandma didn’t know the situation, but seeing the atmosphere, she must have noticed something was off, so she was too much.
As he put down his chopsticks to stop eating, Grandma saw his half-full rice bowl and let out a small sigh.
“Oh my, eating so little like this… Won’t you be hungry at night?”
“I ate a lot. I’m full.”
He couldn’t bring himself to say he felt like he would have indigestion if he ate more.
Grandma nagged Seo-won that he wasn’t gaining weight because he ate like that, then bent over to pick up the folding table. At that, Do-gyeom quickly got up from his seat and volunteered to do the housework.
“I’ll do it.”
“Oh dear, is it okay to ask a guest?”
“Since I suddenly came and even ate, we’ll clean up. Please go in and rest.”
“Hmm. Then…”
Grandma looked apologetic for passing off the housework, but she had been tired from preparing the pork all day, so she naturally handed it over to Do-gyeom.
As Do-gyeom took over the housework, Secretary Bae naturally ended up helping too. With the two big men occupying the kitchen, and feeling awkward being with Do-gyeom, Seo-won sat idly on the wooden porch.
Seo-won swung his feet and blankly watched the rainy scenery. It had been pouring since earlier, and now it was almost at the level of a torrential downpour. Fog was thick over the distant sea.
By the way, the rain showed no sign of stopping… Where were those two going to stay?
It wasn’t his business, but when Seo-won first came down to this island, if Grandma hadn’t taken him in, he would have almost been homeless. So he was a little worried that might happen to them.
As he continued that thought for a bit, Grandma came out of the room. In one hand she had a fruit knife, and in the other a lush, large pear.
“Want some pear?”
“Pear…?”
“As a refreshment.”
Grandma said that and sat next to Seo-won, starting to peel the pear.
For a moment, the words “You’re eating again?” almost slipped out, but he couldn’t because Grandma looked strangely happy. She seemed a bit excited as if the whole family had gathered like a holiday.
As he was nibbling on a slice she gave him, Secretary Bae and Do-gyeom came out of the kitchen, seeming to have finished the housework.
“You’re done already?”
“Yes.”
“Then come eat some pear.”
Grandma said that, had Secretary Bae and Do-gyeom sit, and shared the pear. Do-gyeom naturally took the seat next to Seo-won, and Secretary Bae sat next to Grandma.
Grandma was friendly, but since it was their first meeting, an awkward atmosphere flowed for a moment. The sound of rain falling and crunchy bites of pear were filling the silence, when Do-gyeom, who had been expressionless, opened his mouth.
“But Seo-won is staying here?”
“That’s right. Why?”
Seo-won shifted his gaze between Do-gyeom and Grandma at their exchange.
Why is he suddenly talking about me? Thinking he might be ill-intentioned and planning to kick him out of here, he paid attention, but what came out of Do-gyeom’s mouth was something he never expected.
“Then could you let me stay for a few days too?”
“Young Master!”
Seo-won cut off the conversation, raising his voice. Not only asking to stay, but a few days? Didn’t he say he had an important meeting tomorrow?
Frowning, thinking he might do this until Seo-won followed him off the island, he interrupted, but Do-gyeom didn’t stop persuading.
“The boat route is blocked, so I have nowhere to stay. I will certainly repay you.”
…Did he take over the housework to make that request? Considering how calculating he was, that thought occurred.
Looking at Grandma with anxious eyes, their gazes met. As Seo-won faintly shook his head, Grandma seemed to think for a moment, then backed off as if she didn’t know.
“The only empty room is the one Seo-won is using now. I don’t know, so ask him.”
At Grandma’s answer passing it off, Do-gyeom’s gaze turned to Seo-won. Meeting those dark eyes, Seo-won unknowingly flinched.
“No?”
“Of course not, why are you even asking…? Even with that happening, you want to sleep in the same room as me?”
“I do want to sleep together.”
Do-gyeom answered without batting an eye.
An ordinary person wouldn’t even think of sleeping in the same room after being rejected, but perhaps because of the imprint, he seemed to have an abnormal obsession.
He knew he had to refuse firmly, but surprised by his attitude, he ended up mumbling his lips like a carp.
Seo-won belatedly came to his senses and assessed the situation. It was true that the boat route was blocked due to the rain. With all the fog, waves, and this weather, no matter how much money they gave, they couldn’t leave the island.
So he did need to stay the night… but did it have to be the room he was staying in? And what about Secretary Bae?
“But you’re not the only one who needs to stay the night. What about Secretary Bae? The room I use is too small for three people.”
The room Seo-won was staying in was so small that two might be okay, but three was impossible. Especially since Seo Do-gyeom and Secretary Bae were on the larger side even among men.
It would be better to find a room for two. He said that, but Do-gyeom replied indifferently as if Secretary Bae wasn’t even a concern.
“We can just tell him to sleep somewhere else.”
“No, even so…”
“Is Secretary Bae more important than me?”
“Why are you twisting my words like that?”
He had just mentioned it because he had a companion, but Do-gyeom looked at Seo-won with a cold gaze. As if asking how he could take care of only Secretary Bae and ignore him.
Anyone would think Seo-won ignored Do-gyeom and only cared for Secretary Bae. Why was trying to take care of both of them a problem? After thinking, Seo-won suggested one method.
“Then Secretary Bae and I can sleep together, and you can sleep somewhere else.”
“What? Do you want to see me flip out? Are you seriously saying that?”
“…”
“Ah, I’m not mad at you.”
“…”
Do-gyeom opened his eyes menacingly, then suddenly softened his force. Normally he probably wouldn’t have apologized, but he seemed to be treading carefully due to the earlier rejection.
While apologizing, he persuaded Seo-won as if telling him to think again.
“But you sleeping together with Secretary Bae, really no. What about him can you trust?”
“Isn’t Secretary Bae much more trustworthy than you?”
“No. You don’t know him.”
Do-gyeom blatantly cut him down despite Secretary Bae being right next to him.
Secretary Bae, who ended up in the middle by chance, made a wronged expression as if asking what about him, but perhaps because Do-gyeom was his superior, he couldn’t intervene.
No, what about Secretary Bae…? At least Secretary Bae doesn’t seem like he would touch me or cause any problems even sleeping in the same room. He’s an alpha too, but…
Glancing at Secretary Bae, Do-gyeom frowned and put his hand on top of Seo-won’s hand that was pressing the floor.
“I’ll find a place for Secretary Bae to sleep, so just think about me.”
“If you can find a place to stay, find a place for you and Secretary Bae to sleep together.”
“Sleep together with him?”
“…”
His reaction was as terrible as when Seo-won said he would sleep with Secretary Bae.
Every time he brought it up, it felt like poor Secretary Bae was getting attacked, so he couldn’t say anything. As Seo-won pressed his lips together, mindful of Secretary Bae, Do-gyeom asked in a soft voice.
“I won’t touch you. Can’t we sleep hugging like last time?”
“N-no… Wait, don’t say things like that…”
Grandma and Secretary Bae are here, and saying that informs them that we slept hugging last time.
Flustered, Seo-won furtively checked their reactions. Grandma unexpectedly didn’t mind as if she knew what kind of relationship they had, and Secretary Bae… had a face of shock as if he had seen a terrible drama. He seemed to have finally realized why Do-gyeom had rejected other omegas and only sought out Seo-won.
He had never even dated, but it felt like his secret relationship had been discovered by someone else. He was so embarrassed he couldn’t look at Secretary Bae. The back of his neck flushed hot.
Seo-won tried to smooth over his words, lest the two think strangely.
“Wh-why hug? Don’t hug me…”
“Then I won’t even hug you. I’ll sleep against the wall. Can I sleep over then?”
It was supposed to smooth things over, but Do-gyeom clung even more persistently and it became futile. He even interlocked their overlapping hands, driving him crazy.
“It’s hard to find a room for two people to stay. Please?”
“…”
Do-gyeom seemed determined to cling on until he said yes, and Grandma and Secretary Bae didn’t seem like they would mediate this situation. Everything depended on how he refused. Even if he sent pleading looks for someone to help, the two were busy pretending not to see.
He knew he had to refuse firmly, but… The rain was pouring down so much that even sitting on the wooden porch, a few drops of rain splashed.
Moreover, Do-gyeom and Secretary Bae were big and rough-looking, so it seemed even more difficult to find them a room. It would be hard to knock on every house’s door in this weather.
Seo-won chewed his lips and finally opened his mouth.
“J-just one day. But really, you can’t do anything…”
“Thank you.”
As Seo-won reluctantly allowed it, Do-gyeom slightly raised the corners of his mouth as if he had been waiting.
…Why is my personality so indecisive? While blaming his weak personality, he thought that if he had completely let go of his feelings for Do-gyeom, he could have refused.
Even knowing it shouldn’t be done, the reason he gave in was because even a speck of feelings for him remained. If he had completely let go of his heart, he wouldn’t have fallen for his pitiful appearance.
He disliked himself even more for still not being able to let go of his feelings despite being hurt like that.
