If You Want Me - Episode 50
<Episode 50>
“But it doesn’t seem like the young master thinks that way…”
“Even if he says that, it’s clear that the young master likes you. Otherwise, there’s no way he would behave like that and even imprint on you, right?”
Is that really the case? But Seo-won has been told to the point where it’s like a nail in his ear that it’s not like that, and Do-gyeom’s reaction was really the face of someone he didn’t expect…
Seo-won is just worried that he’ll get his hopes up again and not be able to break free from Do-gyeom. As Seo-won sat there gloomily, Ji-hee looked at him and reacted violently as if she was frustrated.
“But this is absurd. Why is the young master doing this? Why can’t he admit it even after making it so obvious? Because of his family? Because of his traits? Wasn’t it time to admit it after imprinting and even getting you pregnant?”
“I know I’m pregnant, but I don’t know if it’s the young master’s child…”
“What? How do you only know half of it?”
“It just happened…”
It was complicated to explain the details of the incident. As Seo-won trailed off, Ji-hee, who had been thinking for a moment, suddenly burst into laughter, breaking the serious atmosphere.
What was suddenly so funny? As Seo-won looked at her in bewilderment, Ji-hee managed to stifle her laughter and opened her mouth.
“I know why he’s denying it. With the young master’s personality, how could he confess to someone who’s carrying someone else’s child?”
“…”
“Seo-won, just tell the truth. About the baby, and your feelings. Just confess straightforwardly.”
Confess?
Seo-won, who had never thought that far, shuddered and trembled for a moment, then suddenly realized something strange about what she said and raised his head with a start.
“How did you know… that I like the young master?”
“Look at your actions. It’s obvious. You become extremely timid only when it comes to the young master’s matters, even though you’re someone who gets things done. Your attitude is like that too.”
In Ji-hee’s eyes, Seo-won was a boy who got things done. Even though he had a timid personality, his desires were clear. They couldn’t even send him to academies or study rooms because they didn’t have money, but with sheer willpower alone, he went to a top university in Korea. But in front of Do-gyeom, he was unusually timid.
His attitude towards people also changed only in front of Do-gyeom. It could be because the relationship was similar to that of a boss and subordinate at work, but he became unusually weak. There was no way Ji-hee wouldn’t notice it.
Seo-won felt embarrassed realizing his feelings were so exposed. As Ji-hee continued:
“If you’re afraid to even talk about the baby, confess your feelings first. You’ll definitely get a reaction.”
“… I’ll think about it.”
“You said you were thinking of cutting ties with the young master anyway, right?”
Ji-hee asked as if wondering what he was so afraid of. It meant that since he had already thought that far, he might as well see it through to the end.
“That’s true, but… I’m afraid of the young master rejecting me. And I feel like if he finds out about the baby, he’ll tell me to abort it.”
“You’re already suffering as much as someone who’s been rejected.”
“…”
Seo-won lowered his head and looked down. He had nothing to say because it was true. After a brief silence, Ji-hee let out a small sigh and opened her mouth with a determined look on her face as if she had made up her mind.
“If he dumps you and tells you to abort the baby, let’s run away. Let’s sell this house and Mom’s and go live abroad.”
“A-abroad? No, Mom. You don’t have to do that because of me…”
“These days, they say it’s the era of living to a hundred, so it’s a waste to just live in Korea. I wanted to go live abroad too when I got older.”
“…”
“Ah, I wonder if you can’t take a plane in early pregnancy because you’re a male omega? Hmm, then should we take a ship? If we take a cruise, wouldn’t that be less of an issue?”
Ji-hee spoke hopefully, saying there would be a way no matter what.
It was meant to be reassuring, but Seo-won felt even more complicated. Does the young master really like me? Do-gyeom was jumping up and down saying it wasn’t like that and even saying it might be a misunderstanding, so Seo-won had given up all hopes…
But what Mom said wasn’t wrong either. On the internet, there were frequent posts about couples who spent ruts and heat cycles together but didn’t imprint, and doubted each other’s love.
Imprinting wasn’t something that just happened by being swept up in sexual desire. If the imprinting had happened because of sexual desire, there was a high possibility that the one-sided imprint would have naturally come undone as the rut ended or as time passed. The doctor said the only way to undo a one-sided imprint was to give up.
Then is what Mom said true? He had never thought that Do-gyeom liked him…
Just thinking about it made his heart pound so loudly and quickly that it shook his entire body. Seo-won placed his hand near his heart and clenched his fist tightly.
I have to do it.
Even if it’s true that Do-gyeom doesn’t like him, he might be drawn to Seo-won because of the effects of the one-sided imprint.
Seo-won had been trying to naturally cut ties with him and give up on his feelings, but now that Mom said she would go abroad with him if Do-gyeom tells him to abort the baby, he gained courage. This house was located in Gangnam and had a yard, so if they sold it, they could live pretty well abroad.
I have to confess.
Both his feelings and whose baby he’s pregnant with.
Now that he made up his mind, his heart beat even faster. His heart was pounding so much just imagining it, so how would it be when he actually confessed? Seo-won tried hard to calm his heart that seemed like it would jump out of his mouth.

[07:12 Do-gyeom Young Master] Can you come to the company today?
[07:13 Do-gyeom Young Master] Let me know when you’re available and I’ll send a car to your house.
The opportunity came faster than expected.
When Seo-won woke up in the morning, there were messages from Do-gyeom looking for him.
Even though he had agreed to help with Do-gyeom’s treatment, there was no reason to go along with his demands. However, since he had made up his mind to confess to him yesterday, Seo-won replied that he would come.
His heart was beating like crazy during the car ride that Do-gyeom sent to pick him up. Even though he had a place to run away to, he couldn’t calm his heart down. It seemed like he was more nervous because it was the first confession he was making in his life. He didn’t think he trembled this much even when taking the college entrance exam.
When he arrived at the company and took the elevator up to the executive floor, he reached the front of the executive director’s office. Seo-won clutched his chest tightly, then mustered strength in his arm to grab the doorknob when Secretary Bae told him to go in.
Opening the black door and entering, he saw Do-gyeom working in the center of the spacious executive director’s office. He seemed to be handling a demanding task, looking at documents with a serious face.
When Seo-won was his pheromone partner, he often came into the executive director’s office like today and waited until Do-gyeom’s work was done. Even when he entered, Do-gyeom wouldn’t spare him a single glance and only focused on work, so Seo-won would mostly sit far away and steal glances at him.
“Yoon Seo-won.”
But today, as soon as Seo-won set foot inside, Do-gyeom looked at him as if he had been waiting and softened his expression.
This was the first time Do-gyeom had greeted him so quickly. Even though it was natural for his attitude to change as their relationship changed from back then, it felt special. It felt like he had been eagerly waiting just for Seo-won to come. It felt awkward realizing someone might be waiting for him.
Does he really like me…? Seo-won knew Do-gyeom had called him because of the one-sided imprint, but he unintentionally attached meaning to it. It was the first time he felt the emotion of being loved by someone, so Seo-won grumbled like a pubescent boy and opened his mouth.
“Why did you call me today?”
“Did you eat?”
“Mom made me a sandwich in the morning, so I ate that before coming.”
“You didn’t eat too little, did you? The hospital said you had nutritional imbalance. Is it because of morning sickness?”
Even though Seo-won asked why he called him, Do-gyeom only talked about food. He didn’t mention the imprint but spoke as if he was worried, so Seo-won almost mistook that he called him because he wanted to see him, not because of the imprint.
It was hard to think that Do-gyeom was just saying empty words because his expression and tone were full of concern, so Seo-won ended up believing it.
The atmosphere seemed good, so should he say he has something to tell him and confess right now? Seo-won thought about it, then put it off for a bit. It would be a bit weird to confess first thing in the morning. If he gets rejected, he would be depressed all day too.
Having thought that far, Seo-won answered naturally.
“It got a bit better after taking morning sickness medicine.”
“That’s a relief. Let’s eat something delicious for lunch. There’s a nice Korean restaurant in front of here. Let’s go together.”
“…”
Seo-won lowered his head and fidgeted with his hands clasped together. Thinking about it, it wasn’t much different from usual, but when he attached meaning to Do-gyeom’s every word and action, it became awkward. He was worried that Do-gyeom would notice the heat rising to his face.
When Seo-won didn’t say anything, Do-gyeom looked down at him for a moment and carefully opened his mouth.
“You don’t like it?”
“Ah, no. That’s not it… K-Korean food is good.”
When Seo-won didn’t answer, Do-gyeom seemed to think that he didn’t like something.
Seo-won hurriedly explained that it wasn’t like that, but Do-gyeom made a meaningful expression. As if he had an idea about Seo-won’s current attitude, he spoke first.
“Actually, I took imprint suppressants yesterday but it didn’t subside. That’s why I contacted you. I’m sorry.”
At the mention of imprint pain, Seo-won forgot that he was immersed in his emotions and lifted his head with a start.
After being diagnosed with one-sided imprinting, Seo-won knew that Do-gyeom was suffering from imprint pain, but he thought it would be okay since he got prescribed medicine to subside it at the hospital yesterday.
But the medicine didn’t work. Now that Seo-won could gauge how great Do-gyeom’s pain was, he was much more worried.
“T-Then what should we do?”
“I’d like you to stay with me until I get prescribed medicine again. At least when I’m working.”
Do-gyeom seemed to be planning to get prescribed medicine again soon.
If they started dating, they could just be together without him having to get prescribed medicine. So Seo-won tried to say there was no need for that, but managed to hold back.
Since he wasn’t sure if Do-gyeom would accept him, he wondered if it was okay to say it now. He wasn’t confident that it was really okay to say it. Moreover, it was his first time confessing his feelings to someone else, so he was a bit scared too… He thought he should do it when he’s a little more mentally prepared.
“…For now, okay.”
When Seo-won accepted the proposal, Do-gyeom slightly relaxed his expression. Seo-won didn’t notice because it was similar to usual, but it seemed he was a bit tense worrying that Seo-won would refuse.
