I Possessed a Terminally Ill Omega – Episode 206
Second floor study.
“It’s not here.”
Seo I-Kyung peered into the open drawer, feeling around inside with his palm. In his memory, Han Seung-jae had definitely opened this decorative drawer near the desk and put in a gray pouch containing bullets and a gun.
Seo I-Kyung had watched this scene while standing in front of the desk.
His hand anxiously circled inside the drawer. His fingertips brushed against neatly arranged documents. No matter how much he looked, what he was searching for wasn’t visible.
Finally, with lingering reluctance, he slowly closed the drawer. As he turned around, Seo I-Kyung’s face fell dramatically. Originally, that item belonged to Min Ra-hyun, didn’t it? Han Seung-jae had arbitrarily taken it and stored it here.
When Min Ra-hyun left, the gun disappeared too. Since it was Min Ra-hyun’s to begin with, there would be no problem if he took it with him.
Did Min Ra-hyun really leave…?
With shoulders slumped after being tense and on edge, Seo I-Kyung left the study and walked to the bedroom. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Han Seung-jae’s words. He wasn’t the type to say things that weren’t true. Moreover, Seo I-Kyung was the one who wanted to believe those words the most.
After spending some time in bed, Seo I-Kyung went out to the terrace. He sat on a chair as if sunbathing. After looking down at the garden for a while, he looked around with eyes somewhat less anxious than before. This was because he could hear Butler Do’s voice from afar. It seemed someone had entered the house.
“The sofa will be placed on the first floor. The table goes here too. Ah, that one can be moved upstairs.”
Butler Do kept speaking as if to remind them while moving busily.
“You must move quietly inside the house, no matter what.”
Seo I-Kyung slowly got up. While sitting on the terrace, his gloomy mood seemed to have improved just a little. And his throat was a bit dry. He felt like going downstairs to drink some tea.
Seo I-Kyung crossed the bedroom and opened the door. Butler Do, who had been watching the men coming down from the elevator, was startled.
“Are you awake?”
Butler Do approached Seo I-Kyung in one stride.
“I told them to be careful not to make noise.”
Butler Do said this with a flustered face. He seemed to think that Seo I-Kyung had been sleeping since returning after lunch with Han Seung-jae.
“I’m a bit thirsty.”
“I’ll go downstairs right away and bring it to you. Please go back to your room.”
Butler Do hurriedly retraced his steps. Nevertheless, Seo I-Kyung stood rooted to the spot. He kept staring at the people going in and out of the open room door.
The uniformed men repeatedly entered and exited the room carrying various items. From things that required two people to carry, to boxes of all sizes. They were doing their utmost to ensure no sound escaped as they moved things, even laying down carpets.
Butler Do, who had come up the stairs by now, discovered Seo I-Kyung still standing there and approached him.
“Why are you here? You should be in your room.”
Although he had cautioned the people several times to make no noise as they went up and down the second floor, it couldn’t be said that there was absolutely no sound. Yet Seo I-Kyung kept his gaze fixed on the room where people were coming and going.
“Let’s go inside.”
Seo I-Kyung slowly turned, following Butler Do. He entered the bedroom ahead of him and set down the teacup on the table, lifting the teapot. Seo I-Kyung asked:
“What are those people doing?”
“Didn’t Secretary Park tell you before that they’re making a baby room on the second floor?”
At these unexpected words, Seo I-Kyung blinked. Without seeing his expression, Butler Do carefully placed the teacup in front of Seo I-Kyung and added:
“It’s something I should have done, so I apologize. Secretary Park carefully selected a few things. They all arrived today at once, so we’re arranging everything now. I was going to tell you once the interior was organized…”
Knock knock, there was a sound of someone knocking on the door. Butler Do hurriedly stepped out before finishing his sentence.
“I’ll go check. The tea is hot, so drink it slowly.”
Even in his busy state, Butler Do fulfilled his duties and opened the door to leave. An assistant was standing in front of the door.
Seo I-Kyung looked at the door Butler Do had left through, then turned his head to look at the teacup with white steam rising from it. His slender eyebrows, lost in thought, and his delicate features were reflected in it.
‘Baby room.’
Seo I-Kyung’s gaze slowly moved further down. He looked closely at his belly, hidden by his shirt.
Getting pregnant was an event that didn’t happen in the original story. And Min Ra-hyun not being in this house now was the same. The original story had changed. Could that have been changed?
Come to think of it, originally Jin Seon-yoo was supposed to get pregnant with Ham Kyu-ho’s child and get married. But as he intervened, the contents of the original story were changing one by one. Many things had changed like that without Seo I-Kyung even being aware of it.
Seo I-Kyung got up at the sound of knocking on the door. He left the cooled tea behind and opened the door.
Butler Do smiled happily.
“The arrangement is complete. Would you like to go see for yourself?”
Seo I-Kyung let go of the doorknob. Butler Do walked briskly with an even brighter face than before. And he pointed inside the open room door.
“Look.”
Long sunbeams were deeply filling the room. Seo I-Kyung looked at the baby crib in the center. He entered as if entranced by something.
The windows in the room were slightly open to ventilate. Because of this, the white cloth covering the wooden baby crib fluttered in the breeze. The mobile hanging in the center swayed and spun slowly. There were two chairs at the table beside it.
Seo I-Kyung shifted his gaze to look at the pictures hanging on the wall. Unlike those hanging in the studio, these were artworks with prominent primary colors.
Butler Do, wearing gloves, went about cleaning and organizing parts that looked inadequate, counting the empty display cases and shelves.
“It would be nice to put the gifts received here.”
Things received from Jin Seon-yoo were still piled up in the studio. Additionally, various people had sent congratulatory gifts. Until now, Seo I-Kyung had deliberately not accepted them, thinking that all of it wasn’t his. He had never once considered any of the items in this house as his own.
However, without Seo I-Kyung realizing it, his traces were all over the house. It was as if saying this was where he should be.
The place Min Ra-hyun had left was now preparing to welcome a new person. He is someone Seo I-Kyung is very much looking forward to and wants to meet.

Late at night, Seo I-Kyung tossed and turned in bed. Despite his tired body, sleep wouldn’t come.
‘He seems to be late today.’
Seo I-Kyung turned to the other side, listening for any sound of the door opening. How long had he been like this? There was no sound at all.
Since he had met Han Seung-jae for lunch during the day, it would be difficult to see him in the evening too. Wasn’t Han Seung-jae always a busy person? His coming to the hospital was something even Seo I-Kyung hadn’t expected.
However, when Seo I-Kyung saw Han Seung-jae, words he wanted to say lingered in his mouth. Should he tell him he saw the baby crib? Or should he ask if he had dinner?
Seo I-Kyung kept racking his small brain, thinking about what conversation he should have with Han Seung-jae. Perhaps it wouldn’t be bad to follow Han Seung-jae, who would go straight to the study, bringing tea with him.
While thinking such thoughts, he soon fell into a light sleep.
It was around that time that the door opened slightly. In the darkness, a tall silhouette seemed to adjust the neckline of pajamas before stopping at the head of the bed.
Han Seung-jae reached out his hand in the dim light. Even though Seo I-Kyung’s face wasn’t clearly visible, he effortlessly placed the back of his hand against his forehead. Was the slight fever he felt because his hand was cold? It seemed he had always had this level of warmth.
The hand that seemed about to pull away brushed Seo I-Kyung’s cheek as if flowing down. Judging by the body temperature not being much different from his forehead, it didn’t seem to be a fever from illness. And his fingertips moved further down, touching Seo I-Kyung’s slightly parted lips.
The plump lips were soft to the touch and parted just right. Easy to suck while pressing lips together, and suitable for pushing a tongue in.
