I Possessed a Terminally Ill Omega – Episode 193
“I think it’s all wiped off.”
Seo I-kyung’s heart was pounding. He was overly conscious of Han Seung-jae’s hand holding his waist. The large palm was gripping his waist to prevent him from falling.
Seo I-kyung raised his hand to grab the towel covering his face and pulled it down. Despite using very little strength, the towel Han Seung-jae was holding came down easily.
The white towel dangled from Seo I-kyung’s fingertips.
“…!”
Han Seung-jae finally walked to the bed, almost embracing Seo I-kyung’s waist from behind. Although Seo I-kyung stumbled, losing his balance, he never actually fell.
Seo I-kyung settled on the bed. Even though it was just a few steps, it felt like he had returned from a far-off place.
Exhaling deeply, Seo I-kyung put down the towel he was holding at the head of the bed. Secretary Park set up a table and placed on it the food the chef had personally prepared.
It was incomparable to the patient meal that came the day before. It looked even more appetizing as it was arranged with things Seo I-kyung liked to eat.
Seo I-kyung’s eyes lingered on the fruits sorted by type – apples, oranges, melons – and sweet desserts. Looking at the glossy pudding, Seo I-kyung unknowingly swallowed.
The taste of the food was beyond question.
It was a familiar taste. These were things he always ate. Seo I-kyung glanced sideways at Han Seung-jae. He was wiping his wet hands.
Having changed into a clean suit, Han Seung-jae seemed ready to go to work.
“I’ll be outside the door.”
Secretary Park left the room, having finished his task. Han Seung-jae, who had put down the towel he used to dry his hands, turned and sat on the chair by the bed. His long legs crossed.
When Seo I-kyung looked at him questioningly, Han Seung-jae picked up a tablet PC. It was something he hadn’t seen until just before falling asleep yesterday. He wondered if Han Seung-jae had brought it overnight to do some work.
Han Seung-jae nodded towards Seo I-kyung.
“Eat.”
As he did so, Han Seung-jae looked at his wristwatch out of habit. Seo I-kyung watched him check the time and look at the tablet PC before picking up his chopsticks.
He thought Han Seung-jae would go straight to work, but did he plan to wait until Seo I-kyung finished eating all this?
However, it wasn’t an amount Seo I-kyung could eat at once. He might have to eat the fruit and dessert after Han Seung-jae left. But he couldn’t ignore the possibility that Secretary Park might clear away all the remaining food like yesterday. After pondering, Seo I-kyung picked up an apple and brought it to his lips.
It was then that Han Seung-jae’s voice, who had been looking down at the tablet PC all along, was heard.
“When you finish eating that.”
Seo I-kyung, who had taken a bite of the apple, turned his head. Han Seung-jae was still maintaining the same posture. His neat suit and straight tie exuded an unapproachable dignity even without any particular movement.
Suddenly, Han Seung-jae turned his gaze to look at Seo I-kyung.
“Let’s go home.”
“…”
When Seo I-kyung remained silent, Han Seung-jae added, as if making another suggestion:
“If necessary, I can have the attending physician stay at my house.”
Of course, only until Seo I-kyung’s wounds heal.
Moreover, Seo I-kyung had not felt much difficulty moving his body just now, though slowly. The fact that he didn’t fall earlier wasn’t just because Han Seung-jae was supporting his waist.
If he only needed to be in the hospital because of the wound near his chest and the cast on his left hand, it might be a better choice to bring the attending physician home.
Seo I-kyung fully understood what Han Seung-jae meant. It might be better in many ways to rest and receive treatment at home. Even though it seemed to lack nothing, this was still a hospital. The cozy home, incomparable to here, had a chef and helpers to make sure Seo I-kyung was comfortable from eating to sleeping.
Seo I-kyung, who had been listening to Han Seung-jae’s words, raised his eyelids. Just as he was about to open his lips, Han Seung-jae tapped the tablet PC.
“That’s enough, eat that first.”

Han Seung-jae got into the sedan waiting in front of Haseon Hospital. After Secretary Park closed the door, he sat in the passenger seat.
As the car smoothly started, Han Seung-jae’s meaningful eyes reached the hospital building. He recalled the moment when Seo I-kyung was about to open his mouth.
Seo I-kyung was clearly about to refuse. Han Seung-jae could clearly see what he was going to say after racking his small brain. He just couldn’t understand why Seo I-kyung was so unwilling to return home.
No, he thought he might know. There was no need to look far for reasons. It seemed Seo I-kyung’s feelings hadn’t changed at all from before. Not that it would make any difference. Should he wait until Seo I-kyung realizes it himself, or should he make him realize it?
The very fact that he was pondering such things was probably because it was Seo I-kyung. Originally, Han Seung-jae didn’t care what others thought. If he needed something, he would just take it, whatever it was.
People bowed as Han Seung-jae entered the Myeongjun Financial Group building. Han Seung-jae stepped into the elevator first. Secretary Park followed.
“Executive Director Jin Tae-won from Chae-eon Foods is requesting to meet you. What should we do?”
It wasn’t hard to guess the reason. He probably wants to conclude Seo Dong-hu’s matter. That’s why Jin Tae-won seems to be planning to step in himself.
“Director Jin Seok-young has called several times already.”
As if to prove Secretary Park’s words weren’t lies, he took out his repeatedly ringing phone from his inner pocket. This time too, the caller was Director Jin Seok-young.
Ding. A clear sound rang out and the elevator doors opened. As Han Seung-jae stepped out, he said coldly:
“Tell them to wait longer.”
Because I’m waiting too. Secretary Park looked at Han Seung-jae’s back as he walked ahead. Somehow, the latter part sounded like a self-deprecating murmur. It wasn’t just an illusion. Han Seung-jae’s mood had noticeably changed since leaving the hospital room.
Ring- Secretary Park put the phone to his ear.

Seo I-kyung, sitting on the hospital bed, removed the blanket and put on slippers as he lowered his legs. He approached the window where the sun was casting long shadows due to the good weather and looked outside. As he opened the window slightly, a warm breeze brushed his nose. His thin hair fluttered in the wind.
It had been a few days since he entered the hospital.
Seo I-kyung slowly traced near his chest over the hospital gown. As long as he didn’t run or make large movements, the pain wasn’t as severe as before.
Seeing that the attending physician, who diligently checked his wound morning and evening, kept saying it had greatly improved, it seemed there weren’t many days left before he could leave the hospital room.
This meant that Han Seung-jae would no longer have excuses to put off. Seo I-kyung leaned against the window and took out the pocket watch he had put in his hospital gown pocket. It was just past 4 PM. After checking the time, he moved away from the window.
Being confined to the hospital room all this time was starting to feel stifling. When he was at Han Seung-jae’s house, there was a garden he could walk in to relieve this feeling. Sometimes he would sit at a table and drink tea. Seo I-kyung recalled those days and stared at the screen. Then he approached the entrance and opened the door.
The sturdy man leaning against the wall looked down at the open door, surprised. Originally, there were always two people, but one was not visible. Had he stepped away for a moment? This meant that if he could persuade this one person, he could leave.
As Seo I-kyung took a step forward, the man indeed stretched out his long arm to block him and tried to dissuade him. However, he didn’t touch Seo I-kyung’s body at all.
“You can’t come out. I’ll call the attending physician.”
He looked around for his unseen colleague, then gave up and pulled out his phone from his inner pocket. Watching this, Seo I-kyung stretched out his finger and pointed to a distant place.
“I just want to walk to that end and come back. Is that not allowed either?”
The man’s head followed Seo I-kyung’s fingertip to the end of the hospital corridor.
“I just want to walk a little because, as you can see, the hospital room is stuffy.”
The end of the hospital corridor was some distance away, but still within sight. Moreover, Seo I-kyung’s body wasn’t fully healed yet, so he couldn’t run, and even if he did run, the man would have no trouble catching up. Nevertheless, the man shook his head as if to say no.
Thud, Seo I-kyung took another step forward. The man withdrew his blocking hand and stepped back just as much. From any angle, it looked like he was trying his best not to touch Seo I-kyung’s body.
“If you go back in, I’ll bring the attending physician right away.”
“Let’s just walk together to that end.”
Seo I-kyung said this to the man who kept repeating the same words like a programmed machine, and turned his body.
