I Possessed a Terminally Ill Omega – Episode 182
Butler Do was hurriedly pacing the living room, almost bumping into Dahye who was passing by. He had never walked around the house so restlessly before, but he had just received a call from Seo I-Kyung.
That alone made him unable to think of anything else. Until now, Butler Do had no way to contact Seo I-Kyung because his phone was turned off. He could only wait here, hoping for his return.
Butler Do rushed into the art room. With anxious hands, he fumbled on the shelf, looking for what Seo I-Kyung had requested over the phone just moments ago.
“Where is it, what he asked for?”
Butler Do’s hands skimmed over baby items and gift items. Finally, after moving a shopping bag, he picked up a long sword neatly placed on the shelf and left the art room.
At that moment, Min Ra-hyun opened the door of his room. He was about to call out to Butler Do to ask for coffee, but Butler Do had already hurried far away.
Watching Butler Do’s retreating back, Min Ra-hyun turned around with his phone to his ear.
“So, did you tell him?”
Min Seon-woong’s voice came through the phone.
[I think they might be meeting right now. Dong-hu hyung was so eager to see his younger brother.]

“Let’s talk outside.”
Seo I-Kyung, who had just finished talking to Butler Do after turning on his previously powered-off phone, repeated the same words. However, Seo Dong-hu, with bloodshot eyes, seemed to have no intention of listening to Seo I-Kyung’s words.
“Damn it, where are you trying to run off to this time? Are you going to run to Han I-sa for help again?”
Seo Dong-hu was wearing a suit, but it looked disheveled. His tie was missing, and his shirt buttons were undone. The crumpled collar of his suit looked like it had been worn for days.
Moreover, Seo Dong-hu’s eyes were bloodshot as he looked at Seo I-Kyung. Every time he opened his mouth, there was a strong smell of alcohol.
Jin Seon-yoo, who was watching from a distance, said to the assistant next to him:
“I told you to let me know when the car arrived. How could you let someone in so carelessly?”
“He said he was family. I thought he came to pick him up, so I let him in…”
The assistant trailed off, shuffling his feet nervously. Jin Seon-yoo was holding the coat he had draped over Seo I-Kyung’s shoulders earlier.
Seo I-Kyung, who had just come down the stairs, immediately handed his coat to Jin Seon-yoo upon seeing Seo Dong-hu and stepped away.
Jin Seon-yoo had never seen Seo I-Kyung treat someone so coldly before. Seo I-Kyung had always smiled often in front of Jin Seon-yoo, hadn’t he?
Seo I-Kyung was usually full of smiles and spoke softly and gently. He always listened attentively to whatever Jin Seon-yoo had to say. He had never said anything unkind to Jin Seon-yoo, as if implying he was inconsiderate.
Even with a fractured arm, he didn’t show any signs of pain. He had endured such pain all night without complaint. But seeing Seo I-Kyung’s suddenly changed gaze, it was hard to believe that Seo Dong-hu was his family. They seemed worse than strangers.
Moreover, the atmosphere between the two was unsettling. Seo I-Kyung, standing face to face with Seo Dong-hu, looked precarious, while Seo Dong-hu habitually raised his hand as he spoke. He sneered at Seo I-Kyung.
“Damn it, you should have met me when I asked nicely. Why do you have to exhaust me like this? Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to find you and come all the way here?”
Seo I-Kyung didn’t flinch from Seo Dong-hu’s gaze even as he raised his hand. Though it seemed like he had said it dozens of times already, Seo Dong-hu wasn’t listening to Seo I-Kyung’s words.
“Hitting me won’t get you any money.”
Finally, Seo Dong-hu grabbed Seo I-Kyung by the collar. Seo I-Kyung’s phone fell to the floor.
With his left hand in a cast, Seo I-Kyung tried to push against Seo Dong-hu’s chest with his right arm to create distance, but he couldn’t prevent his heels from lifting off the ground.
Even if his arm hadn’t been injured, he couldn’t match Seo Dong-hu’s strength. Nevertheless, Seo I-Kyung continued to push against Seo Dong-hu’s chest, trying to detach himself.
It was a persistent, tenacious ill fate.
Wasn’t it just because of shared blood that ‘Seo I-Kyung’ had been dragged around by Seo Dong-hu to the brink of death? Knowing this path, he couldn’t walk it again.
“I-Kyung.”
Unable to stand by any longer, Jin Seon-yoo took a step forward. This alone was enough to distract Seo I-Kyung. He turned his head and said coldly,
“Don’t come near me.”
Jin Seon-yoo’s legs froze in place, as if nailed to the ground. Seo Dong-hu’s eyes changed strangely. Just as he was about to swing his hand at Seo I-Kyung, whom he had easily lifted, there was a commotion between someone trying to enter the house and someone trying to stop them.
“Young master!”
Butler Do pushed past the people blocking him and rushed between the two. Breathing heavily, he held out the long sword he was carrying towards Seo Dong-hu.
“Here it is. Please take this.”
“Ha-. Damn it. When did I ask you to bring a sword? I told you to bring the value of this sword!”
“Quickly, let go of him first.”
The three bodies tangled and swayed. Butler Do gritted his teeth and forcefully pushed the long sword towards Seo Dong-hu.
He used all his strength to pry Seo Dong-hu’s hand from Seo I-Kyung’s collar. This action left a long scratch on the back of Seo Dong-hu’s hand.
Seo I-Kyung’s heels touched the ground, and he staggered. To keep from falling, he barely managed to grab a nearby pillar decoration to steady himself. However, Butler Do sprawled at his feet.
“You f**king bastard.”
Seo Dong-hu swung his fist at Butler Do, and as if that wasn’t enough to quell his anger, he repeatedly stomped on his chest.
Jin Seon-yoo muttered to the people around to quickly separate them. As he did so, he put down the coat he was holding and tried to approach Seo I-Kyung.
“I’m going to kill you first today.”
Seo Dong-hu drew the long sword in his hand. The long blade emerged from its scabbard. Despite its age, the artifact’s tip was as sharp as if it had just been forged.
Seo Dong-hu looked at the sword. The gleam from the sword’s tip reflected in his tear-filled eyes. Seo I-Kyung quickly shouted,
“Stop it. He’s an innocent person.”
Seo Dong-hu looked at him.
“This all happened because of you.”
After Seo I-Kyung got married, everything changed. It was as if Seo Dong-hu’s world had been turned upside down.
Until then, everything had gone according to Seo Dong-hu’s wishes. Seo I-Kyung had moved easily as he wanted.
So he thought it would be the same after the marriage. In fact, he believed that with Han Seung-jae added, he had gained a strong backing. However, Seo I-Kyung cut off all ties and abandoned his entire family. As if he was going to live well on his own.
Seo I-Kyung responded to Seo Dong-hu’s words with an unprecedentedly cold face.
“It has nothing to do with me.”
“How can you do this!”
Seo Dong-hu’s face contorted strangely. At the same time, Butler Do got up from the floor. He quickly moved to block Seo I-Kyung, but Seo Dong-hu pointed the sword at Butler Do. Seo I-Kyung stepped forward, moving Butler Do aside.
Jin Seon-yoo, who had been watching the confrontation from a distance, put his phone to his ear as if to call for help, his face pale. Without even checking the name of the most recent caller, he pressed the call button.
Jin Seon-yoo realized he had called Gwon Gi-jun from the voice on the other end of the phone. Jin Seon-yoo’s eyes darted restlessly. G-Gi-jun.
“Whether the family goes bankrupt and ends up on the streets or not, it’s no longer my concern. Don’t ever come looking for me again.”
Everything happened in an instant.
As Seo Dong-hu swung the sword, a bloodstain appeared on Seo I-Kyung’s shirt. Jin Seon-yoo dropped his phone and took a step forward. Seo I-Kyung’s lips parted, and his knees buckled weakly, touching the floor.
Seo I-Kyung looked down at the vivid bloodstain spreading across the marble floor. His own reflection was pitifully visible in it. His limp eyebrows made him look as if he were crying.
‘I left that house because I wanted to live…’
But no matter what he did, it seems it was a fate he couldn’t avoid in the end.
“Young master!”
Butler Do cried out, grabbing Seo Dong-hu’s sword. Jin Seon-yoo rushed over in one breath and embraced Seo I-Kyung with both arms. Even without applying much force, Seo I-Kyung’s body collapsed into his arms, going limp.
“Someone, please help.”
Jin Seon-yoo’s lips trembled. In an instant, people crowded around Seo Dong-hu. Amidst this, Jin Seon-yoo, who had sunk to the floor, saw the people moving around him in a blur. Tears welled up in his eyes, nearly blinding him.
“We need to get to the hospital quickly. I-I-Kyung.”
Bright red blood stained both of Jin Seon-yoo’s palms. It then dyed the chest of his shirt red before flowing down to his knees.
