I Possessed a Terminally Ill Omega – Episode 181
“He didn’t say anything about you.”
Han Seung-jae was still looking at the pocket watch necklace on the table. Gwon Gi-jun calmly recited:
“I apologize for the unfortunate incident before.”
Gwon Gi-jun had apologized to Han Seung-jae several times about that incident. However, he was often ignored even at gatherings. Perhaps it was natural that Han Seung-jae wouldn’t meet him.
“And this time I should apologize to Seon-yoo. Neither of them knows I came here.”
Gwon Gi-jun slowly stood up. As he did so, he casually dropped a comment:
“He wasn’t able to eat.”
Only then did Han Seung-jae raise his head to look at Gwon Gi-jun. Though the subject was missing, Han Seung-jae couldn’t have misunderstood.
“Seon-yoo is the type who thinks everything is really fine when someone says it’s fine. He probably didn’t notice.”
Han Seung-jae leaned back leisurely on the sofa and responded to Gwon Gi-jun’s words.

Jin Seon-yoo rummaged through the clothes he had taken off. He had just returned home with Seo I-Kyung. They hadn’t encountered Jin Tae-won and Jin Seok-young. That was because they had watched the two leave for work from a distance before entering.
Jin Seon-yoo took out his repeatedly ringing phone, checked the screen, and showed it to Seo I-Kyung. Seeing Gwon Gi-jun’s name, Seo I-Kyung leaning against the top of the bed also pulled his body slightly. However, with the cast on his left arm, he awkwardly pulled back his upper body again.
“What’s this, Gwon Gi-jun? Suddenly apologizing? What, did things not go well? Did that person not buy it?”
Since Jin Seon-yoo was at a distance, it was hard to hear what conversation was taking place. Seo I-Kyung couldn’t sit still on the bed anymore and lowered both legs. Noticing this, Jin Seon-yoo walked over, sat next to him, and tilted his head.
[Today at 7 PM.]
Seo I-Kyung listened to Gwon Gi-jun’s words coming through the phone.
“He’s buying it? How much did he say?”
As Jin Seon-yoo asked in a slightly raised tone, Gwon Gi-jun’s calm voice returned:
[He said he’ll decide after meeting in person.]
“After seeing it in person?”
Jin Seon-yoo rolled his eyes. He turned his head slightly to look at Seo I-Kyung and muttered:
“The pocket watch necklace?”
[More importantly, don’t you come.]
“Why? I need to go explain.”
[You’ll just be a hindrance if you come.]
“You always say I’m insensitive, as if I don’t even have that much sense.”
Jin Seon-yoo quickly added his business, lest Gwon Gi-jun really say he was insensitive:
“Where are you meeting? Tell me the place first. And I-Kyung is sick so he can’t go alone. You saw earlier too, I’m going to drive him there together later.”
As if lightly pressing down on Jin Seon-yoo’s cheerful words, Gwon Gi-jun calmly recited:
[A car will come to your house.]
Having heard that much, Seo I-Kyung slightly detached his tilted head. Strange. How did Gwon Gi-jun know he was staying at Jin Seon-yoo’s house? Even though Seo I-Kyung had been quietly listening throughout Jin Seon-yoo’s call. Nevertheless, he was speaking with certainty that Seo I-Kyung was next to Jin Seon-yoo.
Jin Seon-yoo added a few more grumbles to Gwon Gi-jun, but he just repeated the same words:
[I told them only Seo I-Kyung should get in that car. He’s someone who doesn’t like being late for appointments, so be careful not to be late.]
Jin Seon-yoo ended the call with a pout. Thinking Seo I-Kyung had heard the conversation content right next to him, he said:
“Will you be okay going alone?”
Seo I-Kyung nodded. He was in no position to question this and that, and there was nothing to deeply ponder about.
“If he says he won’t buy it, come back right away. Even if it’s not Gi-jun, I’ll ask other people I know.”
“Thank you.”
Seo I-Kyung pushed the strange feeling he had momentarily felt deep into his heart.
‘Let’s not have unnecessary suspicions.’
Having spent time next to Han Seung-jae, who rarely trusts people, it seems he had developed a strange habit of suspecting without reason. Moreover, it was Seo I-Kyung who urgently needed money now. Isn’t it the one in greater need who adjusts in a transaction?

As Han Seung-jae, sitting in front of the branch manager, flipped through the report he had submitted, he fiddled with the pocket watch necklace grasped in his hand, making a clinking sound as the metal collided. Han Seung-jae suddenly looked at his wristwatch.
Secretary Park watched this from the corner of his eye. He couldn’t count how many times it had been already. The fact that it had become noticeably more frequent as the afternoon progressed was not just Secretary Park’s imagination.
As Han Seung-jae’s frequency of checking the time increased, the branch manager’s words also sped up as if being chased.
“This is the projected net profit for the first quarter of this year. We’re looking at a 27% increase compared to the same period last year.”
“Don’t include words you can’t be certain of, only say what you can take responsibility for.”
“Yes, I apologize.”
Han Seung-jae was listening to every word the branch manager said without missing anything. After the branch manager left, sweating profusely, Han Seung-jae looked down at the watch grasped in his hand. Gwon Gi-jun had told him before leaving that pressing the button would open the cover.
And when Han Seung-jae pressed the button, the cover opened, revealing the time just past 4 o’clock. He looked at the second hand of the watch, which was not at all different from his wristwatch. Soon, he closed the cover and grasped the pocket watch in his hand.

Knock knock, at the sound of knocking, Jin Seon-yoo, sitting in a chair, stood up. Seo I-Kyung, who had been leaning on the bed constantly pondering what to say to persuade that person when they meet, also turned his head.
“Already?”
Jin Seon-yoo’s dubious voice continued as he conversed with the person who had knocked on the door.
“I-Kyung, they say someone has come downstairs.”
Seo I-Kyung stood up, lowering both legs from the bed. Jin Seon-yoo first closed the door and picked out clothes for Seo I-Kyung to wear.
“Wasn’t the meeting at 7? Why has the car come so early?”
Jin Seon-yoo moved around the messy room, holding out his own clothes to Seo I-Kyung. Accessories were added as well. Seo I-Kyung waved his other hand to calm Jin Seon-yoo down.
“Why? You should go dressed up like this to be able to say everything you need to.”
“It seems too much.”
However, Jin Seon-yoo’s clothes felt somewhat distant for Seo I-Kyung to wear. Moreover, with the cast on his left arm, they were even more uncomfortable clothes. Jin Seon-yoo put back the sunglasses he had picked up with lingering reluctance.
“Then at least wear this.”
Jin Seon-yoo stepped back and held out his coat. Seo I-Kyung took the coat. He thought it wouldn’t look good to meet wearing just a shirt. Still, he was meeting someone to sell an expensive item, wasn’t he? There was no need to look good to that person, but it didn’t seem necessary to look inadequate either.
Just before opening the door, Jin Seon-yoo took the coat from Seo I-Kyung’s hand and draped it over his shoulders. Saying it would be better than wearing it on just one arm due to the cast.
“I think it would be better if I went with you.”
“No. I can go alone.”
“But… your arm is uncomfortable.”
“We’re just going to talk, so this much will be fine.”
Jin Seon-yoo, going down the stairs, seemed worried. Then, as if suddenly realizing something, he whispered to Seo I-Kyung:
“But seeing how they sent the car so early, don’t you think they intend to buy that watch?”
At Jin Seon-yoo’s words, Seo I-Kyung fell into contemplation. Jin Seon-yoo spoke as if helping with the deal:
“First, ask for a high price.”
“……”
“Try doing as I say. Then lower the price little by little.”
Seo I-Kyung recalled how Jin Seon-yoo had carelessly quoted 5 billion won to Gwon Gi-jun. But the counterpart was Gwon Gi-jun, wasn’t he? He was not only Jin Seon-yoo’s friend but also someone who had feelings for him. So that had been possible.
Seo I-Kyung imagined himself saying such things to an unknown counterpart and then gave up. It might end with the other person getting up from their seat as soon as they heard those words.
However, it was also difficult to ignore Jin Seon-yoo’s eyes full of expectation.
“Alright. I’ll try that.”
Seo I-Kyung answered as if accepting Jin Seon-yoo’s words for now. Jin Seon-yoo then went down the stairs, patting his chest.
“Why am I so nervous? Maybe I should just go along.”
Jin Seon-yoo, who had already reached the first floor, asked the helper who had come upstairs:
“Is the car parked outside?”
She came closer and asked back:
“No. It’s not a car, but a guest is over there.”
She turned her body and pointed to a spot. Then a person sitting on the sofa came into view. As if having heard the voice just then, he stood up.
“He says he’s a family member.”
“Family?”
Jin Seon-yoo looked closely at the shabbily dressed person and turned his head back. Seo I-Kyung, with a hardened expression, was glaring at that place.
Seo Dong-hu took a step forward.
“Finally, we meet.”
