I Possessed a Terminally Ill Omega - Episode 169
I Possessed a Terminally Ill Omega – Episode 169
From early morning, Butler Do headed up to the second floor. When he knocked on the bedroom door, Seo I-Kyung came out.
“He arrived a little while ago and is now downstairs.”
Today was Seo I-Kyung’s regular check-up day. Because of this, Seo I-Kyung had been waiting upstairs for the doctor to arrive.
When Seo I-Kyung appeared on the first floor, the doctor who spotted him bowed in greeting.
“The baby’s health condition is good.”
Seo I-Kyung, leaning back against the top of the bed, listened to the doctor in front of him. The room was filled with the regular sound of a heartbeat.
“Do you feel dizzy or have difficulty sleeping? I heard you’ve been continuously experiencing morning sickness.”
Instead of answering, Seo I-Kyung nodded. Sometimes he would fall into a deep sleep as soon as he lay down his tired body, while other days he would toss and turn unable to sleep.
The doctor then turned around and listed foods that would be good for Seo I-Kyung to eat before bed to Butler Do. After carefully listening to his words, Butler Do replied somewhat awkwardly:
“We’ve been giving him those, but his food intake is very small…”
Butler Do’s voice trailed off, his face full of worry. Although he didn’t finish his sentence, the doctor seemed to understand completely and said:
“He was originally weak, and with morning sickness on top of that, he must be even more lacking in energy.”
The doctor didn’t forget to caution and advise Seo I-Kyung as well.
“You must avoid any actions that strain your body, and although it may be difficult to eat, you should try to eat well as much as possible.”

“I’ll relay that to Director Han as well.”
Secretary Park ended the call and put his mobile phone in his inner pocket. Then he immediately returned to the director’s office.
Secretary Park approached Han Seung-jae, who was sitting on the sofa. The dress shirt draping over his broad shoulders moved, along with the classic cufflinks on his sleeves. Han Seung-jae’s eyes were sharp as he flipped through documents.
“This is renewable energy that can be used continuously no matter how much you use it.”
The man sitting opposite Han Seung-jae kept spouting his words without pause. This was causing Han Seung-jae’s brow to furrow. It seemed getting investment for this was a lost cause.
Secretary Park calmly said:
“I think we’ve heard enough explanation about the business research plan. We’ll contact you later.”
The man seemed to have more to say, opening and closing his mouth several times. His glasses went askew. Nevertheless, Secretary Park ushered him out and closed the door.
Han Seung-jae slightly shook the document he was looking at. Secretary Park took the document and grasped it. Han Seung-jae stood up and headed to his desk. Watching his back, Secretary Park moved his steps.
“I received word that the check-up was just completed.”
As Han Seung-jae sat at his desk, Secretary Park stood in front of him.
“How is his condition?”
Although Han Seung-jae’s eyes remained cold as he asked this, they seemed somewhat softer than before.
“Since he’s experiencing morning sickness…”
“That’s something I already know, and?”
Cleanly cutting off Secretary Park’s words, Han Seung-jae took the stack of approval documents on his desk and opened them. In that brief moment, Secretary Park quickly finished his thought and spoke:
“It’s a boy.”
Han Seung-jae, who was about to sign, finally raised his head. Secretary Park added with a serious look:
“In the afternoon, Curator Im Jung-yoon will visit your home with the painting.”
“A boy.”
Somehow, Han Seung-jae seemed to be repeating Secretary Park’s words. After a brief silence, Secretary Park asked:
“Shouldn’t we also inform Chairman Han?”
The Chairman Han that Secretary Park referred to was Han Seung-jae’s father. Just that alone seemed to make Han Seung-jae feel unpleasant again as he muttered:
“Is there any need for me to go out of my way to tell him?”
Even without Han Seung-jae saying anything, his father was the type of person who would find out the check-up results one way or another. If only to know the possibility of Seo I-Kyung’s child manifesting as an alpha in the future.
Moreover, he might already know it’s a boy by now.

A line of cars stopped in front of a townhouse located in Seongbuk-dong. Curator Im Jung-yoon got out of the car she had arrived in. After ringing the doorbell, she walked through the garden with the men carrying the painting she had brought.
“He’s currently in the studio.”
Having visited once before, Im Jung-yoon walked leisurely following Butler Do. She smiled brightly towards Min Ra-hyun, who was sitting on the sofa.
“Hello. Nice to see you here.”
Min Ra-hyun, who had been drinking coffee, had a dumbfounded look on his face. Soon after, the men carrying the painting passed in front of his eyes.
“Young Master, a guest has arrived outside.”
Butler Do knocked and then opened the studio door. Jin Seon-yoo, who had been painting, turned around. The brush in his hand pointed downward. Seo I-Kyung also stood up from his chair.
“It seems you were painting.”
Curator Im Jung-yoon addressed Seo I-Kyung, still with a bright smile in her eyes.
Seo I-Kyung stared blankly at her for a moment. He had heard that someone was coming to the house, and thought it meant the doctor who had visited in the morning.
But now the painting he had seen at the Art Klee Museum was being hung on the studio wall. Jin Seon-yoo also stared at that painting with wide eyes.
“……”
Suddenly, Seo I-Kyung noticed Min Ra-hyun standing in front of the open studio. Min Ra-hyun, who had been looking at the large painting being hung on the wall, looked at Seo I-Kyung as if he felt his gaze.
“I only heard from Secretary Park that someone was coming, so I didn’t know either.”
Seo I-Kyung turned his gaze to look at Butler Do, who was speaking in confusion. Hearing Butler Do’s words from the side, Im Jung-yoon smiled brightly.
“When I mentioned that you had looked at this painting that day, he said he wanted to see it himself and asked me to bring it.”
The person who said they wanted to see it themselves must have been Han Seung-jae. Seo I-Kyung looked back at the studio entrance again. However, Min Ra-hyun, who had been at the open door, had already disappeared.
“Thank you for your hard work.”
Butler Do, trying to regain his composure, stepped forward as if to escort Curator Im Jung-yoon out.
The studio, which had been suddenly filled with people, quickly became quiet again. Jin Seon-yoo, still holding a brush in one hand, had been staring at the painting on the wall as if entranced before finally coming to his senses. He turned his gaze to Seo I-Kyung standing beside him and said:
“I can’t believe this is hanging here.”
Jin Seon-yoo couldn’t help but marvel. He had gone to the museum with Seo I-Kyung to see paintings, and he clearly knew the value of this painting, which made it even more impressive.
Then, noticing that Seo I-Kyung’s face, in contrast to his own, was sunken as he looked at the painting, Jin Seon-yoo approached the canvas with his brush and took his place. From the outside, the couple seemed to be getting along well and living harmoniously. However, only the two of them might know the exact nature of their relationship.
“I-Kyung.”
Seo I-Kyung, who had been looking at the painting on the wall, turned around. Because Jin Seon-yoo was standing looking at the canvas, his face wasn’t visible. So it was impossible to know what expression he was making.
“I’m painting this because you asked me to, but…”
Nevertheless, Jin Seon-yoo’s voice sounded only warm.
“I’ve never actually been in love and don’t know much about it. But after giving this painting, if you have nowhere to go, come to my house.”
Step by step, Seo I-Kyung moved.
“What if I believe those words and really come in and don’t leave?”
He approached Jin Seon-yoo’s side and stood in place. Jin Seon-yoo lightly massaged his shoulder and looked at Seo I-Kyung. Looking at the smiling Seo I-Kyung, Jin Seon-yoo also smiled in response.
“Well, then we’ll just spend our whole lives going on trips together.”
Jin Seon-yoo once again vigorously brought his brush to the canvas.

In the rapidly moving car, Han Seung-jae looked down at his tablet PC and moved his fingertips. He was leaving work earlier than usual.
Ever since hearing from Secretary Park that the painting had arrived at his residence, he couldn’t suppress the urge to know what expression Seo I-Kyung was making while looking at that painting, and left the office.
“We’ve arrived.”
As Han Seung-jae got out of the car, he handed the tablet PC he was holding to Secretary Park. Secretary Park received the tablet PC and bowed.
“I’ll come to pick you up tomorrow.”
“Alright. You can go.”
Winter days darkened early. Han Seung-jae crossed between the softly lit lamps that seemed to brighten the dark garden. As he entered the house, unlike outside, it was warm inside.
“Director Han, you’ve arrived.”
Butler Do came out hurriedly to greet him.
“How would you like your meal?”
“Prepare it. With some alcohol on the side.”
Since he had come home in time for dinner for once, it wouldn’t be bad to have a drink with Seo I-Kyung.
“More importantly, is he on the second floor now?”
Butler Do answered while receiving the coat Han Seung-jae took off with both hands:
“No. He’s in the studio now.”
“That’s good.”
Min Ra-hyun, who had spotted him, approached. However, Han Seung-jae continued walking without even glancing at Min Ra-hyun.
Eventually, Han Seung-jae grasped the studio doorknob and opened the door.
