Summary
Why do angels take the form of monsters?
In the present day, a colossal tower named “Heaven’s Prison”—a dungeon that pierces far beyond even the Kármán line—exists. In this era, one can carve out a place for themselves by wielding a demonic weapon, known as a “Demon Sword,” which grants the power of demons.
While many young people dream of becoming “Demon Swordsman,” Jin’ya Kochō has little interest and spends his days doing part-time work for a shady employer. However, by a twist of fate, Jin’ya accidentally acquires a demon sword and becomes one of the Demon Swordsmen.
As Jin’ya battles the monsters of Heaven’s Prison, stealing their power and growing stronger alongside his sword, he gradually learns two unsettling truths: the peculiar nature of his own demon sword and why these monsters bear the names of angels.
