Contract Marriage with Memory Loss on Top - Chapter 67
“Then how about we do this?”
As Yeon-woo was slowly nodding his head in disappointment, Ki-won quietly spoke. Wondering what he was going to say, Yeon-woo pricked up his ears and showed perplexity at the answer he heard.
“If you agree to go on a date with me today, I’ll help you get in touch with the lawyer.”
An oily opportunist. This thought was undeniable. Barely closing his gaping lips, Yeon-woo looked at Ki-won with displeasure. He should be getting used to it by now, but Kwon Ki-won’s such appearance was still shocking. Voice, expression, tone. Nothing was different, but perhaps because the content was quite shocking, it felt distant. Yeon-woo reluctantly nodded his head.
“Date… like dining out?”
“I’ll reserve a private room. I know a good place.”
It was no different from everyday life, except that using the word “date” made him feel strange.
“I also had something to tell you. We can talk while we eat.”
“Okay.”
“I’ll pass your number to Lawyer Kim. You’ll get a call by the morning.”
Kwon Ki-won smiled as he rubbed Yeon-woo’s pale cheek as if caressing it. It felt like heat was rising on the skin the man had touched and it was ticklish. As his heart, which had been quietly doing its job, tried to speed up unnecessarily, Yeon-woo had to manage his expression by swallowing his dry saliva.
“Have a good day.”
“Yeah.”
Yeon-woo stared at Ki-won disappearing beyond the open front door. Yeon-woo, who couldn’t move from that spot until the door was fully closed, slowly sat down only after Kwon Ki-won had completely disappeared from his sight.
“I must be crazy too…”
Only then did the hot breath he had been holding back burst out and his face flushed hotly. Kwon Ki-won was just Kwon Ki-won. Even though there was no need to react to every little light touch like this, his heart strangely fluttered every time the man touched him.
Yeon-woo rubbed his lips and pressed his heated cheeks hard. Fortunately, Ki-won didn’t catch him like this, or it would have been awkward. He endured it well. Yeon-woo comforted himself, feeling fortunate that he wasn’t caught, and slowly got up.

At 11 am, Yeon-woo, who had finished preparing to go out for a lunch date with Ki-won, sat on the bed and looked around. He knew that things in life don’t always go as planned, but it was really strange.
He had been troubled because he couldn’t get a studio due to fake listings, and he couldn’t even pack his bags because the caretakers had destroyed the only bag left, but the divorce was canceled. Should I say it’s rather fortunate? He had been worried sick as the divorce preparations kept getting delayed, but now he could stay by his side for another year.
While Yeon-woo was thinking about this and that, the phone rang in his ear. Yeon-woo, who picked up the phone, realized that Ki-won’s lawyer had called. What was the name, before answering the phone, Yeon-woo took out the business card from his pocket and checked the lawyer’s name.
“Hello, Lawyer Kim?”
– Yes, hello. Is this Mr. Seo Yeon-woo? I heard from Executive Director Kwon. You have something to tell me…
“That’s me.”
Fortunately, it seemed that Ki-won had conveyed it well. Yeon-woo asked the question he had been thinking about without hesitation.
“It’s just… there are a few things I’d like to ask.”
– Yes, go ahead.
“You’re the one who helped prepare for hyung and my divorce, right?”
– It’s not a big deal, I just prepared a few required documents.
He was worried that another lawyer might have prepared it, but it seemed that Lawyer Kim was in charge of it by chance. Yeon-woo, who was relieved, quickly added.
“Among the required documents for court submission… the application for confirmation of intention for divorce by agreement. By any chance, is hyung’s seal stamped on that document?”
– Pardon?
The reaction came back that he didn’t know why he was asking such a thing. Understandably so. Yeon-woo smiled awkwardly and waited for the lawyer’s answer.
– No, I haven’t been able to meet Executive Director Kwon since issuing the documents. The application is all blank.
“Is that so…? When did you issue the documents?”
– Four days ago.
A sigh escaped through Yeon-woo’s teeth. If it was that time, it coincided with when they couldn’t leave the villa due to heavy rain. Yeon-woo, who understood the reason why Ki-won couldn’t contact the lawyer, busily nodded his small head.
“Then you were trying to deliver the documents yesterday, right?”
– That’s right. But the executive director…
The lawyer trailed off and then chose to shut his mouth, letting only silence flow. He seemed to want to say that he couldn’t deliver them because Ki-won had an accident.
“I see. That’s what I was curious about. Thank you for taking the time even though you must be busy.”
– Not at all. Please contact me anytime if you need anything else.
When Yeon-woo gave an answer that he understood, the call naturally ended. Yeon-woo, who put the cell phone into his pocket, rubbed the back of his neck. As expected, the documents were not stamped. It meant that there was no evidence left anywhere that Ki-won tried to terminate the contract as he said.
As a result, nothing had changed, but it felt like the lingering part had completely gone away. After organizing his thoughts, Yeon-woo stood in front of the drawer to get medicine before going out for a lunch date with Ki-won. I should make a hospital appointment soon. The doctor’s opinion that he should take the pheromone test again in a week passed through his mind.

“Yes, I’m almost there.”
It seemed that Ki-won, who was curious about where he was, called, and Yeon-woo, who was sitting in the back seat looking out the window, answered as usual. Yeon-woo took in the rapidly changing background beyond the window and then straightened his posture.
“But hyung, is it okay not to rest at home? Your wound wouldn’t have healed yet.”
– It’s okay.
“Alright. See you soon then.”
After ending the call, Yeon-woo thought deeply about Ki-won’s way of speaking. No matter how much he had lost his memory, Ki-won’s polite speech was very unfamiliar and felt strange. He resolved to bring up this part while eating.
Around the time he was thinking about it, the sedan carrying Yeon-woo stopped in front of the hotel.
Thinking that he had arrived, Yeon-woo, who was peeking outside, spotted Ki-won and hurriedly unfastened his seat belt.
“Thank you, driver.”
Not forgetting to greet, Yeon-woo bowed his head and bounced towards the approaching Ki-won.
“Hyung!”
“You’ll get hurt doing that.”
A nagging followed, saying what if he falls over hastily getting off. Even if he lost his memory, this part hasn’t changed, Yeon-woo couldn’t hide his smile.
“Are we eating here?”
“The restaurant here is quite nice.”
“Aha…”
Yeon-woo sneakily looked around the tall building and shone his eyes. He was already excited because the places Ki-won said were good mostly had excellent food.
“By the way, what did you want to tell me?”
“What’s the rush? I’ll tell you when we go up.”
After all, they could talk while eating. Since it was reserved as a private room, they wouldn’t have to worry about people around them, so they decided to talk then.
Yeon-woo, who was about to link his arm with the man’s as usual, widened the gap feeling like “oops”. He thought that if he got too close to someone who had no memory, he might feel uncomfortable even if he didn’t show it.
However, Ki-won grabbed Yeon-woo’s arm that was being retrieved and made him directly link arms. Yeon-woo blinked his wide eyes and looked down at his arm, but Ki-won only shrugged his shoulders.
“Weren’t you going to hold it?”
“I thought you might be uncomfortable.”
“Not at all.”
I see it’s okay. Only then did Yeon-woo feel relieved and gently leaned on the man’s arm as he walked. It wasn’t just his feeling that his steps heading to the lobby with long strides became lighter.
Yeon-woo couldn’t hide his amazement as soon as he arrived at the restaurant. The restaurant walls were all made of glass, revealing a refreshing view. It was very beautiful even though it was midday.
“Excuse me. I will guide you to the room you reserved.”
A restaurant employee approached and said. It seemed that while Yeon-woo was lost in the surrounding scenery, Ki-won had finished confirming the reservation.
“It’s quite nice, right?”
“Yes… it would be even prettier if we came here at night.”
Yeon-woo whispered as he followed the employee down the straight corridor. It was no joke that just looking at the scenery was enough to make him full.
“Shall I prepare the meal right away?”
When the employee who guided them to the seat in the private room asked, Ki-won nodded his head briefly. It must have been a sufficient answer, as the employee left the room like that, and at some point, only the two of them were left in the isolated space.
