- Volume 1 Chapter 3: Arrival at Herta Space Station
Wende felt a shiver run down his spine as an unknown, peculiar force surged into his body, making him feel tingly all over as if he had just undergone electrotherapy.
It seemed the system had indeed replicated his character card stats onto his actual self.
Looking at his hands with a sense of disbelief, Wende felt his body become incredibly light and filled with vibrant life force.
“So this is… the power of the Path?” Wende murmured as he observed the arcs of electricity dancing across his fingers.
Minutes later, time resumed under the system’s control, and everyone on the train returned to their previous activities, completely unaware that time had paused.
Through the carriage window, Wende watched the train slowly pull into an empty platform, feeling a sense of surrealism wash over him.
He…. really had entered the world of Honkai: Star Rail, and now possessed the power of the Path of Abundance.
“Dear passengers, we have arrived at Herta Space Station! The train will be docked for one week, allowing passengers to disembark and explore freely!” Pom-Pom’s voice echoed through the hall, and March 7th was already eagerly waiting at the carriage exit.
This interstellar journey had nearly driven her stir-crazy.
“I have some matters to attend to on the train, so I won’t be disembarking,” Welt said, adjusting his glasses.
“Himeko, here’s the shopping list,” Pom-Pom handed the list to Himeko. Due to the Astral Express’s restrictions, Pom-Pom couldn’t leave the train, so the task of shopping was left to the passengers.
“Alright, Wende, come along with us,” Himeko said, ruffling Pom-Pom’s head, much to Pom-Pom’s prideful delight, and called out to Wende, who was still dazed by the power of the Path.
“Ah–okay!” Wende quickly snapped out of his reverie and followed Himeko towards the exit.
Inside the carriage, Welt frowned as he watched Wende leave. “The Abundance…”
Meanwhile, Wende also frowned as he stepped off the train. The familiar system voice had reappeared, and—
[Honkai: Star Rail has officially launched!]
Real World
At 10 AM, countless players eagerly waiting for Honkai: Star Rail’s release clicked to enter the game, ready to embark on their unique “space adventure.”
Some, unable to play immediately due to work, sneaked glimpses through various live streams, eager to watch the unfolding “space drama.”
This time, there was no notice blocking their entry into the game. Although a 200MB update was required, in the era of widespread 5G, this small update took less than ten seconds, barely noticeable to the players. They were focused on getting into the game as quickly as possible, unaware of the potential changes this minor update could bring to their journey..
At the Herta Space Station
“We are finally back at the space station! I can finally have a proper look around! I’ve been going stir-crazy on the train!” March 7th exclaimed as she jumped off the Astral Express, breathing in the station’s artificial air and stretching with delight, her white tummy peeking out.
“Yes, it’s been a while. We’ve got quite a few items to procure this time, and it looks like we’ll need to find Asta,” Himeko sighed, looking at Pom-Pom’s list. The recent expedition had depleted many of the train’s supplies, even Himeko’s coffee was running low…
“Wende, this is your first time at the space station, right?” Himeko asked with a smile, noticing Wende’s curious gaze as he looked around.
“Uh… yes,” Wende replied, scratching his head in embarrassment. Even though he had watched videos and read guides countless times, it’s nothing compared to seeing this colossal structure with his own eyes. The real-life experience was far superior to exploring it in-game on a computer screen.
“Don’t worry, when March first came here, she was even more amazed than you,” Himeko said with a gentle smile.
“Hey! Himeko, that’s not true!” March 7th, who was busy placing orders on her phone, puffed her cheeks like a pufferfish and protested cutely.
“Well, after being sealed in ice for so long, it’s normal to be a bit surprised, right?” March 7th said as she nudged Dan Heng with her elbow, as if seeking his opinion.
Dan Heng didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he looked into the space station with a serious expression.
“Dan Heng, what’s wrong?” March 7th asked curiously, noticing his uneasy demeanor.
“March, something’s not right with the space station,” Dan Heng replied, frowning as he surveyed the empty platform. Normally, there should be numerous station staff here, and someone should have greeted the Astral Express upon its arrival. Yet, since their entry, they hadn’t seen a single person. Even the conductor had complained about not receiving any docking information.
While the Astral Express had a designated docking bay, there should still have been some notification.
Himeko also realized the gravity of the situation. Normally, her phone would receive a welcome message from Herta Space Station upon arrival. However, her most recent message was still March 7th’s invitation for afternoon tea.
She immediately sent a text to Asta.

Even March 7th noticed something was wrong. The shopping website for Herta Space Station wouldn’t load, and her phone remained out of signal range.
“It seems the space station is indeed experiencing some issues. Wende, you should return to the train. I’ll go find Asta. Dan Heng, take March and investigate the station. Maybe you can find out what’s going on and help,” Himeko instructed.
March 7th and Dan Heng nodded, drawing their weapons and preparing to enter the station from Platform 1.
“Himeko, may I go with Dan Heng and March?” Wende stepped forward, volunteering. If it had been before the system’s appearance, he might have obediently stayed in the safety of the train. But now, having accepted the Path of Abundance and gained some self-defense capabilities, things were different.
More importantly, if he didn’t go, he might miss the chance to meet the players for the first time—a perfect opportunity to gain favor.
“But…” Himeko hesitated. Although she intuitively felt that Wende wasn’t a weak individual, after the incident, she was still concerned about his safety.
“Don’t worry, Himeko. I won’t hold them back.” Wende said, touched by Himeko’s concern.
They had known each other for only a week, yet she treated him as one of her own, which warmed his heart.
Wende smiled and held out his palm. In his hand, an arc of electricity formed a needle that floated steadily.
Dan Heng looked at the needle with surprise, while March 7th patted her chest and assured Himeko, “Don’t worry, Himeko! We’ll take good care of Wende! Right, Dan Heng?”
Seeing March 7th’s lively demeanor, Dan Heng sighed slightly, shaking his head, and then nodded to Himeko.
“In that case… Wende, you go with March 7th and Dan Heng, but be careful.”
“Yes, Himeko, you should be careful too!”
Himeko headed toward Platform 2, while Wende, March 7th, and Dan Heng set off for Platform 1.
Wende glanced at the system screen. The recovery skill and his extremely high base HP made him feel very secure.
With such abundant healing power, forget about getting injured, he could ensure all 4 of them come back in one piece, well-fed and satisfied!
As for why there would be 4 of them…
Somewhere in the space station, a purple-haired beauty was slowly walking into a certain room…
