Summary
“Did you say that to Sunhwa? That you couldn’t sleep at night because you felt lonely? So you planned to hook up with someone on your birthday? Damn. Why didn’t you tell me sooner? I would’ve made sure you weren’t lonely.”
I was just about to take the guy I went on a date with home when my best friend, Cha Woo-jae, caught me. Not that I had actually intended to spend the night with him…
“Why the hell are you lonely, Seo Yi-jin? Damn. Now you’re making me feel lonely, too.”
“I sobered up. Move out of the way.”
I tried to get up, covering my chest with one hand and holding my underwear with the other, but Woo-jae tilted his head and pushed me back down.
“Yeah, well. In the end, I’m the one who undressed you, so it doesn’t matter.”
“Who undressed who?”
I glared at him angrily, but Woo-jae just smirked wickedly before leaning in and kissing me.
“Why are you lonely when I’m right here next to you? Did I make you feel that way?”
“What?”
“It’s the wish I’ve had all my life. Don’t you think it’s about time it came true?”
Woo-jae kissed me again, his hand slowly sliding down between my legs.
“You were willing to sleep with some guy you barely know just because of shallow attraction. What’s wrong with us? What’s wrong with just friendship—especially when you’re already this wet?”
One impulsive night, I made the mistake of sleeping with my best friend. That night changed everything.
I ended up carrying his child.
At first, I thought the baby would force us apart forever, but now I know it’s the very thing that will keep us together. Whether we’re friends, lovers, spouses, or just parents—we’ll figure this out. Together.
