Summary
After gaining awareness, Ye Jishu realizes he is just a passerby in a harem novel where the protagonist shou is a magnet for obsessive lovers.
This novel has Gong 1, Gong 2, Gong 3… and the list goes on, each of them seemingly infected with madness, falling deeply and uncontrollably in love with the protagonist shou.
Constantly showing concern, forcing possession, secretly stalking… Every flavor of obsession is covered.
Yet, Ye Jishu isn’t even one of these cannon-fodder gongs. He’s just a spicy little plot device thrown into the tangled web of messy love triangles and polyamorous relationships.
His entire existence serves one purpose: for the protagonist shou to coldly say, while facing all the gongs vying for him, “He’s my boyfriend.”
Such an enticing and manipulative statement, spicing things up just a little more.
For Ye Jishu, this was a doorway to a whole new world.
According to the original plot, his role was:
When Gong 1 shows up, he conveniently goes to get water, leaving the two some private space;
When Gong 2 arrives, he pretends to look for something, giving them time to exchange glances;
When Gong 3 comes, he closes his eyes and pretends to sleep, giving them a chance for some dramatic tension…
He thought this was all he had to do.
But one late night, unexpectedly, the protagonist shou suddenly pins him down on the bed, snuggling against his neck, voice low and heavy:
“Jishu, why don’t you care about the people getting close to me? It’s obvious they all have ulterior motives, yet you don’t get jealous at all—”
“Heh, of course, I don’t really care what you think either. After all, humans are just food, and you’re nothing more than a tool I’m using…”
“…Hmm? Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you planning to ignore me again, leave me alone, and focus on someone else? Ridiculous. As if I’d actually care. This is getting old.”
“……………”
“Uh-oh, how troublesome, what a mess. What should I do? I don’t want this, but now that things have reached this point, you’ll just have to always keep your eyes on me from now on. Otherwise, I might end up eating you too. What do you think about that, Jishu?”
His tone was coaxing, his face dazzlingly beautiful.
His ink-black eyes were filled with dark, insane possessiveness.
Seeing the tentacles sprouting from the protagonist shou’s body, and the black mist swirling around him, Ye Jishu’s heart raced at five hundred miles per hour, jumping to full throttle, his eyelids twitching furiously.
What is this? So scary, so terrifying, ahhhh!
#I thought I was just background scenery, but it turns out I’m a pure love warrior!#
Warnings:
- Non-human elements involved.
- The gong isn’t human; his inner thoughts are often crawling with darkness, constantly acting out his own mental dramas.
- Don’t force yourself if this isn’t your taste! This is mainly about writing a yandere, gloomy, twisted, walking-red-flag male lead! A gong with overwhelming, suffocating love!
