Summary
He Yu is a ginseng spirit that has lived for hundreds of years. After transforming, she becomes a beautiful but naive and innocent girl.
One day, she accidentally travels back to the 1980s without having had the chance to learn from her elders or develop caution towards the world.
She is manipulated into marrying the idle second son of the Wen family, Wen Chen, and just a month after their wedding, Wen Chen is sent to the military by his family, only for news of his death to follow.
He Yu gives birth to a son, struggling to support herself, let alone raise a child.
But she works hard to earn money and provide the best for her little one.
Wen Ze is reborn.
In his previous life, he was in a car accident and had only a breath left when his mother revealed her true form, forcibly breaking off the tip of the ginseng.
He then learns that his mother was a ginseng plant.
Because of this ginseng tip, he didn’t die but spent decades lying in bed.
However, when his mother transformed unexpectedly, she was seen by the Wen family and taken away.
As the son of his mother, his blood was found to be miraculous. He was kept by the Wen family and became a blood-making machine.
Wen Ze swears to protect his mother as the only man in the family.
As days pass, his mother becomes more beautiful, and those who wronged them receive their retribution.
But who is this unfamiliar man outside the door?
He dares to impersonate his father, who lies buried ten meters under!
“You old man, get out! My mom isn’t blind.”
“Stay away from my mom and don’t interfere with me finding a handsome and wealthy young dad.”
After going through hardships, Wen Chen returns, imagining he can sleep with his fragrant and soft wife at night.
But the next moment, he’s rejected at the door, unable to even enter the house. He looks incredulous: “Darling, don’t you love me anymore?”
He Yu frowns: “No, I don’t. Leave me alone; I want to rest.”
Wen Chen feels struck by lightning, pulling his shirt buttons like a peacock: “I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it! Darling, didn’t you say you loved me the most?”
He Yu glances at him calmly: “That was before. Now, I’ve changed my preferences.”
Wen Chen: “I don’t believe it.”
